Our family enjoyed staying here! The house is beautiful and the fishing was really good too. We caught a ton of bass and some really nice sized sunfish. We would definitely come again!

The house was one of the cleanest we have ever stayed at. We have been taking our children and grandchildren on a family vacation for 8 years now and have never been greeted with such an amazing gift basket! We used the lake every day for fishing and tubing and the had camp fires every night. The two bunkrooms and loft were perfect for our family. There are games and books galore. Never a dull moment at this cabin. David was very attentive as our host - communicating often to make sure we had the best time possible. We would definately return to this beautiful retreat!

Beautiful, clean, and spacious home with so many amenities and extra small details including an outdoor sauna, fire pit, game room, homemade goods, board game collection, and more! I also saw kayaks for those who stay during the summer. There was plenty of space for parking for all of us. The host, Bruce, was very proactive with his communication and accomodating. Highly recommend!

The stars are in the details! What a wonderful property and getaway! We were absolutely treated like royalty from the check in process to check out. These owners have thought about absolutely everything! We spent a glorious 7 days and 7 nights at this beautiful place and had a hard time leaving. The lakeside of the property is beautifully set back. We were able to use a canoe and the two kayaks available, which were perfect. Fires at night and great fishing from dawn to dusk! We would HIGHLY recommend this location and the owners!

David’s cabin was a good stay for our family vacation! There are a few things that I wish I would have paid more attention to including the amount of stairs in the cabin, the approach to the dock, the dock itself, and the lack of yard space to play. Dave was very open about the approach to the dock and not being able to wade in or swim off the dock due to a soft lake bottom. However, we had a pontoon rented for a few days of our stay and were unable to utilize the dock to due shallow water at the dock and had to load it every night. The stairs in the cabin were okay for us but was inconvenient hauling in luggage, groceries, coolers, etc. as you walk into the basement and the kitchen is on the main level which is up one flight of stairs. During our stay, there was an issue with the air conditioning which Dave was very good about addressing as the cabin was extremely warm. He communicated well with me regarding updates on this matter, but unfortunately this happened later in the evening and was unable to be resolved until the next day. This resulted in the cabin being roughly 80 degrees overnight, in which we were compensated a very small amount for.You can tell they have put a lot of work into the cabin and are passionate about making sure their guests are welcomed! Overall, we had a great time and made lots of great memories!

Thanks for your feedback, Darby. I will definitely work to make my listing more clear on the setup of the cabin and access to the lake. I do try and have these conversations when people inquire, but I agree that more info in the listing will be beneficial. I do regret that the AC blower went out during your stay and it made for an uncomfortable night, but I hope that getting a repair person there the next morning helped to address the issue as quickly as possible, since the issue occurred on a Sunday evening. Thank you for your understanding.

We stayed at Blue Spruce Lodge for our son’s wedding weekend and absolutely loved it! We had several generations of our family with us, and the house worked perfectly for everyone. My parents have difficulty with steps, so having two bedrooms on the ground floor was a huge plus and made things so much easier for them.There was something for everyone to enjoy. We used the kayaks and canoe, and had a lot of fun in the game room with the electronic dartboard and foosball table. It was such a great setup for spending time together as a family.From the moment we arrived, we could tell this was a special place. The welcome basket was such a thoughtful touch, and the communication with our host throughout our stay was fantastic. You can tell they genuinely care about their guests and take pride in making sure everything is just right.Beautiful property, great amenities, thoughtful host, and a wonderful place for our family to stay during such a special weekend. We would definitely stay here again!P.S. The homemade bread and all the other goodies were AMAZING!! That welcome basket did not last long in our family!

This was the best VRBO experience we have had. Everything was very clean and set up for us to enjoy the place with two other families. The beds are nice and the rooms are spacious. We’ll be back again!

We spent the 4th of July weekend with our adult children. Property was great!! Plenty of space for everyone. The house is beautiful and was very clean, everything we needed in the kitchen for making meals. We enjoyed morning coffee on the deck - it was so peaceful. We would definitely stay here again.
