Charming 3-bedroom cabin with WiFi, AC ten mins from downtown Blue Ridge
Escape to the serene beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains at our family-friendly mountain getaway! Unwind in the private outdoor hot tub as you take in the mountain air, challenge friends and family to a game of pool in the cozy game room featuring a full-size pool table, or get cozy by the fireplace or outdoor fire pit.
Just 10 minutes from downtown Blue Ridge and 5 minutes from beautiful Blue Ridge Lake, with hiking trails, waterfalls, and local wineries all close by. This cabin is in the mountains and it has a natural incline of a gravel driveway leading to it. Guests should consider putting their vehicle in AWD when coming up the driveway!
We found the cabin to be very nice. Everything was clean and hot tub was ready. My family enjoyed alot and the 5 year old did not want to leave. It's private and the rocking chair deck looks out into the woods. Very peaceful. Also convenient to Blue Ridge and local walking trails. Much fun!
Excellent 5 star hostsâŠeffective communicators and gracious. The cabin is cozy and comfortable. We especially loved evenings watching TV by the fireplace. Playing pool etc ⊠the bedrooms are very comfortable with ample space for personal items⊠clothing etc My nephew especially loved the open loft bedroom. The cabin is close to the downtown area and great hiking options. We went on a 13 mile horse ride thru the National forest âŠ. Beautiful. A great little cabin for sure!
Our stay was a perfect weekend getaway! The cabin was nice, the hot tub was relaxing, the location was great for exploring the town. I was more impressed by the way the owners handled an issue after our stay. My husband left his medication in the cabin after checkout and they reached out immediately. They were kind and very accommodating to resolve the issue! They are dedicated to customer satisfaction and I am grateful!
I appreciated that the host was very communicative and understanding, but sadly there were a fair few issues with the stay. Our largest issue was that the description says it is a "3 bedroom", even though one of the "bedrooms" is an open loft and not an actual room. The pictures of the listing also made it seem like it was an actual room, and it was an inconvenience for my group. However, the host did give me a partial refund for the inaccuracy.Another issue we had was the overall upkeep of the place. There were some grill tools, but they were completely covered in mold and disgusting. In the same vein, the downstairs bathroom also had mold growing in the corners. The kitchen had dry goods in the cupboards that were well past expired, one of them even being from 2019! We tried to use the hot tub, but despite there being a cover on it, there was a very strong urine smell coming from it. Additionally, we could not find sheets/blankets for the sofa beds. The last problem is that the driveway up to the house is steep and comprised of loose gravel. Even cars with AWD had trouble making it up the hill, and I'm sure all the gravel being kicked around scratched up the bottom of the cars. I have stayed in other mountain cabins before, and they had paved driveways.Overall, I wouldn't say it was a terrible experience, but all these issues really added up to be seriously annoying for us. I appreciated the host's communication, and the fact that all necessary amenities were present
