Great property, beautiful beach and water. Everything as described. Only a couple of dinning choices. We ate at the same restaurant almost every night. Small beach, if you like to walk on the beach you will need to travel to another location. We would not return for these reasons.
Our week with family in Treasure Cay was great. Leah, the owner, was a good communicator and gave us lots of helpful information about the area and the house. It was the perfect size for our group, had a lovely and spacious kitchen and living room area and the view from the back of the house was amazing. The beach area out back was just right for our grandkids to explore and play in the water and it was a great place to relax and watch the boats go by. Treasure Cay Beach was a short walk away and we took a golf cart to a few shops and restaurants close by. Great week and a great location!
Our group of 6 had an unforgettable vacation at Jackson's house. The house has expansive views of the ocean, windward beach is beautiful, we saw a turtle almost everyday and also dolphins, the beach can get choppy at times if winds are high but was calmed most of the time. The house has everything you need to cook and to enjoy the water ,we used the paddle board and the snorkel equipment.Jackson's house is very spacious and tastefully decorated, we had no issues during our stay only things that are expected in an island like temporary power outages.Treasure cay beach is close by, it is picture perfect. We rented a boat for a day twice and visited the cays around Abacos,I highly recommend it, I loved meeting the locals and trying their food, my suggestion is to rent a car if you are planning to visit Marsh Harbour , it is about 40 minutes drive and there is no public transportation. I did grocery shopping the first day at Maxwell and did not need to go back. If you want to eat out I recommend Colors and Snappas restaurant in Marsh Harbour ,and if you want a high scale restaurant go to Treasure sands club. For breakfast we went to Cafe La Florence.
If you want to stay right on the beach, watch sunrises everyday, be in safe ,quiet area and have enough space for a big family to share memories, Jackson's house should be your choice.
We enjoyed a beautiful week at the Jackson House in Treasure Cay. The house was large, clean and very well stocked. If you can, check out what's already at the house before you do your shopping. We bought so many duplicates of items already there. Tons of water toys for kids big and small were in the garage. Really nice washer and dryer too It is on the windward side so pretty breezy. Straight down the road is the beautiful crescent beach with soft sand and immaculate turquoise water. There is a nice restaurant at the Beach Club, good food decent prices. Both the owner and property manager were wonderful. Very informative and quick to answer any questions.
Our whole family enjoyed staying in the Jackson House. It is located in a quiet safe area and is right down the street from one of the most beautiful beach we have ever seen. The views from every room are spectacular. The house is comfortable and had everything we needed. We stoppd at Maxwells on the way there and bought groceries. We also rented a golf cart and bikes which we all enjoyed. Restaurants are fairly expensive.
The property has a beautiful view of the ocean, with a beautiful beach that is very usable. There are lots of floats and snorkels in the garage for use. The interior main rooms- kitchen, dining room, and living room are very functional and comfortable to use with a well stocked kitchen. The downsides for us were:Uncomfortable bedsWhile the view is beautiful, the only outdoor furniture is plastic. My 73 year old 200lb father fell through a plastic chair and got a nasty cut on his side from the shards of plastic when it broke. The other houses around us had someone who cleaned the beach in the mornings. The beach very quickly becomes full of algae, It take away from the beauty and functionality of the beach. From 6 years old to 73 years old we spent the second half of our stay extremely sick. The toilet could not be very far away. The house has a double filtration system, and the instructions claim that they drink the water, and I would strongly advise against it. Buy bottled at the store and stick with it. It was the only thing we all ingested in common, so we strongly believe it to be the culprit.
Jackson house was everything and more. We didn't want for a thing during our stay except maybe better weather, but no one can predict that. We still had a few perfect days with sunshine and spent it floating in the calm waters right outside the back door. Stunning view of the beautiful beach through the multiple sliding doors on the entire back of house. We only lost power a couple of times but it came back on in less than an hour. Wifi was great and had no issues with it or the tv.Also, we never had a single problem with bug bites, not even sand fleas which we always get eaten up with on previous visits to other out islands like Cat island and Exuma. Also I'd like to mention, we have been visiting the Out Islands of Bahamas for the past 13 years and never have we had the host be so responsive with questions prior to booking and right before we left for our trip Leah emailed me a packet on not only the ins and outs of the house but plenty of information on things to do and a list of restaurants complete with phone numbers......it was so helpful. We really had a great time and will come back to the beautiful Abaco Island!
We had a wonderful time at Jackson House. The house is exactly as listed. The beach is just steps from the house. The kids played, swam, snorkeled and paddle boarded while the adults relaxed in the sun. We found having a rental car to be very useful. Thanks Leah!
This was a great house for us. Best kitchen we have had in all our trips. Absolutely beautiful view. Just wish there was more specific information about reefs especially off the shore of property. The neighbor shared information the morning we were leaving. It was a super relaxing stay. Thank you.
This property and beach were gorgeous. The owner was incredibly responsive and attentive. She answered my many questions up front and helped with planning. The property was clean and comfortable, and the beach was unreal. We spent most of our time on the beach or porch. I would highly recommend staying here!
Great place to stay with all of our adult kids! We all had our own space at the end of the night, and a fantastic common area to eat, play games, and spend time with one another. The beach is fantastic, the outdoor space is an added bonus for hanging out on those hot days. Our host was amazing at communicating and gave us all the added information about the local islands. Highly recommended!
We walked in the hoise and all 8 of has said"wow'. The house is beautiful and view outstanding. My husband and I stay at VRBO's anytime we travel and this house was the most fully equipped house we have ever stayed. Anything you would need for your stay is at the house! Ms. Leah was great to deal with. Very quick to answer any questions we may have had. This was a first time entire family vacation and it was a success! Thank you Ms. Leah! Memories we will never forget
We stayed at this property before Dorian and if was fantastic, but after the devastation the house was rebuilt even better. A wonderful open floor plan allows everyone to be engaged with from the kitchen to the living room. In addition a tiki shelter was built in the backyard for you to enjoy the magnificent view and pleasant sea breezes in the afternoon.
You will not be disappointed with the house or location for your trip to TC.
Second time staying at the Jackson House. Feels like home! The private beach is amazing. Super comfortable home perfect for a family vacation. Leah is such an awesome property manager! Thank you once again for lending my family your home! We definitely will be back!
We had an amazing time! Renting the golf carts was the way to go, no car was needed. We had everything we needed and more! Beautiful place and location!! Thank you!
This is a beautiful location for a quiet family vacation. We snorkeled right in front of the house and were not disappointed! The beach is beautiful and so fun to explore. We saw and found sand dollars, conch shells, small friendly fish, a sea star, hermit crabs, a crab and a couple of dolphins! It was a delight waking to the sound of the waves in the morning. It is a quick trip to rent a boat or get staples from a small market. The house is gorgeous, well laid out and had everything we needed for a family of 5. We did not experience any issues with the property during our stay. The host and her team are very responsive. Highly recommend this gem!
My sister and I had the house rebuilt, which my parents lived in for 30 years, after Dorian hit the Abacos. But we built it back stronger and better, and want to share this little piece of paradise with guests who appreciate staying in a cool house right on the beach in the Bahamas!đ§đž
Why this property..? It is on the beach! There is enough room to accommodate 8 people, and there's an extra dining room chair if someone shows up for dinner. It has all convenient updates, including impact windows, electrical updates, cabinetry and appliances. Each bedroom has a separate bathroom, so no need to share bathrooms with anyone, plus there's an outdoor shower to rinse the salt and sand off. The house is on Windward Beach Drive so no mosquitoes or no-see-ums to bother anyone.
