The stay/location was great. Centrally located to many NC mountain attractions. Approx 35 mins to Beech Mountain. 15ish to Sugar. And 20mins to downtown Boone. Did not make it to Blowing Rock this trip but definitely recommend! The road to the house is definitely a mountain road. We got a ton of snow/ice while we were there and 4 wheel drive is a MUST in the winter. I was impressed at how well plowed and salted the road was the next day. The wood burning fireplace and the fact that wood is supplied by the owner was amazing!I would stay here again!
We were there to Ski at Sugar Mountain - Very relaxing cabin tucked away in the mountains but still located close to everything we needed. Entertaiment Groceries/Restaurants and Coffee. Everything within 10-20 minutes away.
Parking is not so great, need to trim the free back so you can park close. Had to park below and hike our stuff up. Nice place, loved the fireplace and thank you the wood!!! Would say itâs a mater of choice however itâs a bit cluttered vs relaxing and amount of knickknacks everywhere. The rooms are great, kitchen is solid. Deck could use some work and light cleaning. Good place for the price!
We had a very nice stay here. Lots of Amenities and close to activities. Our only issue was the cleanliness of the property. There were several beer/soda cans left outside all over the property. Also, inside there were lots of cobwebs and dust around. Otherwise we had a great stay!
My wife and I wanted a true private getaway for a week. We are care takers for my wifeâs mom at 91. It is very tiring and we canât get away very often. Over the years we have rented a lot of cabins for vacations. This one is the best we have rented. Everything was perfect especially the decorations. We will be renting again next year.
Our group of 9(ages 2-74) spent a week at this property. The 5 bedrooms accommodated all of us comfortably, and each of the beds was very comfortable. Each room also had itsâ own air conditioner allowing for varying comfort levels. All 5 bathrooms were spacious, updated, and had stall showers. Mayra and John were very responsive throughout the process, meeting us 3hours earlier than checkin time, and promptly replacing a non functioning cable box. We felt very safe and appreciated the gated yard, which also held our 15 passenger rental van. There was plenty of seating in the kitchen/dining room, but all of the seating is barstool height-not easy for toddlers to handle. The cabana family room is the only indoor gathering space, other than the dining room. This space held a 3 seat sofa which apparently had been broken by a previous group (as told to us by Mayra). It was very uncomfortable. There were 2 additional chairs in that room- not sufficient for a large group. The pool was lovely and very refreshing. Be aware that the decking became quite slippery when wet. There were plenty of Tommy Bahama sand chairs, beach towels, and some beach toys. Restaurants, grocery store and beach were all within easy walking distance. Overall, our stay at Villa Ibiza was wonderful. If you are traveling with toddlers, however, this might not be the best house for you.
Mont Bloc os a great place and pocation. We loved the family room, deck, and firepit. The kitchen and appointments are great and its git every thing we need.
Seven Devils is the place to be. Itâs our second trip to this site. Mega top shelf.
It was a grand pleasure to spend our family Christmas at Mont Blanc. This home away from home was the best cabin we have stayed in. The decor was so inviting with samples from all over the Mediterranean. The gourmet kitchen had everything you needed to cook for a large family. Enjoyed playing pool and board games that were all furnished. It was just a short drive to Boone with plenty of shopping. We will definitely book this cabin again.
We had a great time enjoying the fall foliage and gathering with extended family and friends for a reunion. The area is lovely. The cabin was excellent. We were charmed by the fun red appliances and the fire pit. Everything was clean. Check in and check out process was easy.
Weâve stayed in many cabins in the mountains and this was our favorite! Beautiful location with everything you could possibly need. Love the character and charm! Enjoyed the pool table, fire pit and sipping coffee in the mornings on the porch. Definitely would love to come back again!! Thank you for a wonderful stay!
We were really impressed with the property and all was great. Unfortunately we had to leave early due to bad weather but would gladly rent the property again.
Excellent property and very convenient to every food shops and grocery store.. The cabin is clean and has a fantastic charm. It has a breathtaking views and good amneties...we enjoyed cooking in their fully equipped gourmet kitchen...the place is very relaxing rooms are in decent sizes, clean and very comfortable to sleep in. They have access to cables and wifi...its agood place to unwind and chill..its so naturistic...overall we had a wonderful experience...highly recommended!..
Our family of 5 spent spring break at Mont Blanc in Seven Devils last week. It was just the right size for us and we loved the porches as well as the fire pit. The road to get up there from 105 is quite a climb w/ lots of switchbacks, so itâs not for the squeamish. We enjoyed our week together there!
Heres the Bad and Good:
When we arrived the cabin had a terrible smell. I guess someone left a cup of fresh cut cilantro in water on the counter and in molded and smelled rank. So first impression wasn't great. The fridge water dispenser doesn't work so we bought bottled water, ice does work though. Also on day two we used the microwave and it started sparking and going crazy (no we didn't have metal in it). Reported it to them and a couple days later they brought a temporary microwave to just sit on the counter. There were dead lady bugs on all window sills (didn't really bother me). The bed down stairs is memory foam which was a new experience. You lay there and it sucks you in and you can't move haha. Also, if clutter and stuff everywhere bothers you this isn't your cabin. The walls and every surface have signs, art and stuff everywhere. Took me a little to get used to that but just so you know.
However the location is amazing. The views out the window are great. Saw deer one morning and there is a woodchuck that comes out to eat breakfast on the lawn every day that was adorable. The view of the lake perfect. Super close to otter falls, snow skiing, tubing, iceskating, and hikes. Kitchen is well stocked to cook in every night and some complimentary spices available to use.
Even with the bad I would still recommend this place.
