In some ways, the property exceeded our expectations. "Qaint" as the first word in the property description led us to fear that it was very small. The living room was actually quite spacious and the bedrooms more than adequate. The main complaint we had were the mattresses, which were incredibly unsupportive and, in the case of the main bedroom, noisy. This was odd, in that the two queens were major brand name (BeautyRest) and appeared reasonably new. Additionally, the kitchen was designed so that the refrigerator door was blocked by a counter and only partially opened, making it impossible to get a pizza box in. The decks were nice, but had no furniture. The host said they had a tendency to "run off." We've stayed in the area six years in a row, including two blocks away last summer, and all the properties had deck chairs. The previous tenants apparently did not take the garbage out, so we were greeted with an overflowing can and nowhere to put our own trash for three days. A second can was delivered halfway through the week, so hopefully that's mitigated for future guests. We also had to unload the dishwasher and rewash some dirty glasses. Again, almost certainly the fault of previous guests rather than the host. We'll keep the place in mind for future stays. The mattresses would be the main reason we'd pass.
