Timeless Elegance in Historic Fairhope: A Century-Old Masterpiece Step into a living piece of Alabama history, where luxury meets legacy in this extraordinary 1910 estate. On over an acre of majestic live oaks in prestigious Montrose, this rare historic gem offers an unparalleled stay that modern accommodations simply cannot match. Built by William D. Randall and cherished by only a handful of distinguished families (including a Venezuelan consul), this architectural masterpiece preserves the elegance of a bygone era while providing all modern comforts. Imagine sipping morning coffee beneath century-old oak trees in your expansive private yard, or unwinding in spaces once graced by diplomats and distinguished Alabamians. This isn't just accommodationâit's an opportunity to become part of Fairhope history.
The sidewalk in front of our home is a part of the Eastern Shore Trail, which runs 22 miles from Interstate 10 down the eastern shore of Mobile Bay all the way down to Weeks Bay. Youâll encounter walkers (and their pups!), runners, and casual cyclists on the trail and you can walk for miles in either directions. In some parts of the trail youâre walking right beside the bay, and in other parts youâll be a bit inland from the water. Youâll see lots of public access areas along the way that will put you on sandy beaches and bulkheaded areas with great views.

This house is in a very convenient location for visiting Fairhope, Daphne, and even Foley and Gulf Shores. It is a very nice house that is well-appointed. The hosts were very accommodating and helpful. We enjoyed our 9 day stay very much and will consider again for future trips.
Absolutely loved our stay at this awesome house! Dave was an incredible host and very attentive, and the location is ideal for enjoying the Fairhope/Daphne area. Weâll be back!
We loved our stay in this charming historic home right in the heart of downtown Fairhope. It was clean, cozy, and full of character â close to shops, restaurants, and the pier. The perfect mix of comfort and charm. Weâll definitely be back!
We came to Fairhope for a wedding and stayed for a long weekend (Thursday-Sunday). This house itself and the location was perfect for what we needed. Dave was great at communication and made sure that we had everything we needed before we even arrived and checked in with us daily as well. Would definitely recommend this property to anyone else looking for a good and safe place to stay.
We really enjoyed our stay. The home was beautiful and it was refreshing to stay in a home and neighborhood with so much history and beautiful architecture. We did wish there was a little blurb with history of the house and neighborhood. It would just add to the experience.Hosts were attentive to any needs we might have, although all was provided. The home was clean, beds were comfortable, plenty of high end linens. Our favorite place was the back porch. We spent morning and evening hours enjoying the PORCH!Thank you and we hope to be back soon!
Jenny has lived in Fairhope since she was a child, and Dave âgot here as fast as he couldâ. Weâve got lots of great suggestions about where to eat and what to see. When you book, weâll send a list of local dining recommendations and weâre happy to give even more specific recommendations tailed to your likes and situation.
This is the most unique home in Fairhope. The tin ceilings and walls take you back in time, while the rocking chairs on the front porch and the giant back porch with the grand entrance are made for relaxing under the centuries old live oaks.
