Wow!

The home is warm, welcoming, spacious and we enjoyed our stay tremendously. The neighborhood is eminently walkable with great restaurants, coffee shops and live music venues.

Great spacious house with amazing host!

We stayed here with a group of girls during Mardi Gras and I couldn't have better things to say. The house is in a great location, near many restaurants/shops/bars and is even more spacious than it looks in the photos. The host was great from the moment we booked it until after we left. He was communicative, helpful, and very knowledgable about New Orleans. We highly recommend this rental!

What a Wonderful House!

The house is great, with plenty of space for family and friends. Don't be fooled by the picture on VRBO - the inside is big and well equipped. The neighborhood is fun, accessible, and offers great food, fun shops, and a variety of activities. The owners were very helpful and available. The location allows you to go to the French Quarters, hop on the trolly, go to the river, the Zoo, and other places to enjoy. Olivia

Amazing place!

Very nice host, quiet neighborhood but extremely close to the streetcar and cute shops, great spacious place that fits a large group comfortably. Would definitely stay here again!

Awesome house in a great location

House is nicely redone inside. Plenty of room for everyone. The owner is very nice and replies quickly to any questions or concerns you may have. Comfortable beds, and was well cleaned when we arrived. The house is located within walking distance of some bars, as well as some good restaurants. If you are looking for a place to stay away from the craziness of Bourbon Street, this is it. Only 2 blocks from a streetcar stop that can take you down to the French Quarter. Would surely stay here again.

Excellent host and house

Our family of nine stayed at the Dante Street house in great comfort. The house is much bigger than you expect. The interior design is perfect for privacy even with a large group. It is convenient to most everything, walkable to Oak Street restaurants, music, the Plum Street snowball stand and the streetcar. Sitting on the front porch in the sun, I enjoyed greeting the people who walked by. The parking space off the street was especially appreciated and there was room for a second vehicle on the street. We would definitely go back next time we are in New Orleans!

Awesome weekend!

Dante's Paradise is fabulous. The location is central to all things New Orleans and Mark is a wonderful host. The house was clean and very spacious. We had everything we needed plus more. Our group of eight was more than pleased. We will absolutely be back!

Wonderful weekend getaway

We came to NOLA for Krewe du Vieux weekend and stayed in Mark's home. Our group consisted of folks that had lived in New Orleans for a few years to first timer's in the city... and folks coming in from at least 5 different states! The purpose of our trip was a bachelorette party, but we were also celebrating two birthdays alongside our bride to be. It was really a great getaway with friends. The house was easy to access for all our folks coming from the airport and slept all ten of us comfortably. The photos of the house do not do it justice! The architecture was amazing and very true to the NOLA vibe. There was plenty of music and good food near the house, but also was close to the streetcar, which we took to the quarter for the parade. Mark was very welcoming and made us feel right at home! He was flexible in working with our check-in time so we could throw up some decorations before the other guests arrived. Would absolutely recommend his place to groups visiting!

Great house and location

Mark was a great host. My wife, as well her family and I stayed at his place. It was the perfect location; the neighborhood was very nice, and quiet, which was great for our needs as we had kids traveling with us. The rooms were great, and the house was more than enough to comfortably fit 8 adults, 2 kids and a toddler. If you are looking for an alternative to the French Quarter scene, his place is the perfect spot!

Beautiful property in a location perfectly suited to our needs.

My family and I cannot say enough good things about this property. We pulled up into our private parking spot and were immediately taken by how large the accommodations are given the relatively small appearance from the street. We enjoyed sitting in the sun on the porch in the morning while having our coffee. The living room is large with an excellent sound system and the kitchen is modern and fully stocked with everything you need. The bedrooms are spacious and very comfortable. The 2 1/2 baths came in very handy for our large group. The master suite is very comfortable and the fully tiled bathroom is absolutely beautiful. There are many personal touches all over this property and it is clear that Mark is very proud of this home and rightfully so. He very quickly responded to all questions and was very helpful with his intimate knowledge of all things New Orleans. This location right off of Oak Street was perfect for us as one of our favorite restaurants was literally right around the corner. We hope to be able to return soon and often.

Home Away From Home: Epic Trip in an Epic Neighborhood

My husband grew up in New Orleans, so we know the city very well. The location of this charming home is in one of our favorite neighborhoods. It's within easy walking distance to so many restaurants, bars, & the streetcar that will take you to the Garden District or French Quarter. Mark was an amazing host. His communication before our trip was stellar, & he was there to meet us at check-in to give us the tour & answer any questions. He even stocked our fridge with cold drinks to welcome us! He educated us on some of the newer eateries in the area & gave us exceptional advice. (Don't leave town without eating at DTB around the corner... They served some of the best food we put into our mouths that week, & that's a huge compliment considering what a fabulous foody town NOLA is! He also recommended Zots, a funky coffee shop around the corner, & seeing Rebirth Brass Band at the Maple Leaf.) We traveled with our 6-year-old & another couple who brought their 6-year-old & two 17-year-old boys, so 8 people total. The house worked very well for our group. The older boys & each couple had private rooms on very comfortable beds, & the little kids slept on the convertible leather sofas in the rear living room. They each had their own bed back there (there are two sofas). Sheets, plenty of extra blankets, & pillows were all provided. There is a privacy door between the back room & the rest of the house so the rest of us were able to hang out & have fun in the front part of the house after the littles were in bed. One couple had to walk through the rear living room to get to the master suite, but that was never an issue. The kids never woke up. The house has been lovingly remodeled (honestly the photos don't do it justice) & Mark paid great attention to detail in stocking it. Coffee, filters, sugar, & a full spice rack was supplied, plus Tupperware & Ziplocks for leftovers, & plenty of pots and pans. I've never had that much provided in a rental. Fantastic! In addition to that, laundry soap, dish/dishwasher soap, shampoo, & bath soap were all supplied. When we asked if he had an iron & more paper towels, he delivered them that morning! We really felt like he went above & beyond for us. In addition to all of that, it was spotlessly clean, & there are several dressers so we could truly unpack and enjoy it as if it were our own. The neighbors we met were all very friendly, & we felt safe in the area. We will definitely be back to rent from him again!

Incredible NOLA experience!! Great host

This was one of the best rental home experiences I have ever had. Mark's house was incredible and perfect for me and my big group of girl friends who came down to NOLA for Mardi Gras. The location is ideal and Mark was very friendly/helpful/and nice. We miss it already! I definitely recommend this home for anyone coming down to NOLA to experience the city and have a great time. I can't believe the trip is over...but we all can't wait to come again! Thanks for everything Mark!!!

Great Location, Wonderful House

Lovely home so close to restaurants, the trolley, wonderful area for walking. Mark was very helpful and responsive. This is a new house to the program and a few things were not quite ready. they did not detract from our stay and Mark has taken care of them. We would definitely stay here again. A very comfortable home, Recommend highly.
