Getting Around Marlinton

Marlinton is a small mountain town, so most attractions, restaurants, and shops are within walking distance from the suite — especially downtown locations like the Old Mountain Tavern, Alfredo’s, and Rivertown Café.

For outdoor excursions such as Snowshoe Mountain, Watoga State Park, or Cranberry Glades, guests will need a car or motorcycle. Roads are well-maintained, and traffic is light, but note that cell service can be limited in certain mountain areas — it’s best to download directions ahead of time.

Parking:
Free parking is available directly near the property and throughout downtown Marlinton.

Public Transit:
There is no public transportation or ride-share service (Uber/Lyft) currently operating in Marlinton. However, guests can find local taxi or shuttle options in nearby towns such as Lewisburg or Snowshoe if needed.

Local Tip:
If you’re traveling in winter, check weather conditions before heading up to Snowshoe Mountain — four-wheel drive or all-season tires are recommended due to occasional snow and ice.

We’re pet-friendly! Well-behaved dogs are welcome with prior approval. Please clean up after your pet, keep them leashed in shared areas, and do not leave them unattended in the suite. A small pet fee applies to ensure extra cleaning and comfort for all guests.
