Merci de vous être arrêté! Peut-être cela est ce que vous cherchez: un endroit abordable pour votre petite famille pour échapper à la chaleur et profiter d'un lac de montagne vierge, automne escapade d'un couple calme et magnifique, un endroit pour pêcher, nager, explorer. Vous nous avez trouvé!

Notre chalet est pas de fantaisie ou énorme. Il est confortable, propre et juste sur le lac Nantahala, un des lacs les plus hauts et les plus propres aux États-Unis de l'Est Nous avons acheté il ya des années comme un chalet idéal pour échapper à l'agitation de Atlanta. Maintenant, nous voulons partager avec vous.

Nous avons pas de tables de billard ou des bacs ou wii chauds de. Nous avons un grand quai privé, des livres, des vidéos, et un endroit pour tout simplement vous détendre sans toutes les distractions habituelles de la maison. Nager de notre quai privé. (Apportez votre matériel renverser ... je vois généralement du poisson quand je Snorkle autour de notre station d'accueil ... l'eau est limpide) Apportez votre bateau (rampe est à 2 minutes) ou en louer un à partir Lacs End Marina (ou utilisez notre canot) . Les enfants adorent notre quai, les nombreux cours d'eau à patauger dans et lieux de randonnée et d'explorer (nous sommes pratiquement entourés par la forêt nationale de Nantahala). Les parents aiment le calme, notre collection de livres et de films, et le fait que votre téléphone cellulaire ne fonctionne pas ici! Il ya d'excellents restaurants à 20 minutes en voiture (ou monter votre bateau sur l'eau pour End Grill du lac), un Super Walmart Murphy (35 minutes) pour les fournitures, des sentiers de randonnée tout autour de (l'Appalachian Trail est à 20 minutes), en eau vive rafting à proximité, et beaucoup d'endroits pour se promener. Nous ne sommes pas Disney World. Nous sommes très heureux d'être «tout naturel».

Quiet and cozy

Overall stay was good, but there were some things that could have been better described in the listing. The parking was very tight for two SUV’s, no cable (but a remote with cable cords in tv), the cottage could have been a.little cleaner around the outside. Overall we had a nice time, and the bed was very comfortable.

A great getaway

The cabin is situated on a beautiful section of the lake. We enjoyed the views and the quiet. Unfortunately my wife has recently had knee surgery so she was unable to walk down the stairs to the dock. We should have checked prior to us going. Curt is a wonderful host and we appreciate his hospitality. I highly recommend this cabin for a quiet and relaxing weekend.

Great stay

We enjoyed our time at this little piece of paradise on the mountain lake. From sitting on the porch staring at the lake, taking a paddle out in the canoe, or grilling some dinner on the porch....relaxation was easy here and it was nice to get away from the hectic city life. We appreciate it Curt and hope to be back in the future! hectic life of the city

Time away from heat

The house was remodeled and the bed was very comfortable. The stairs to lake was quite overwhelming but great dock when you get there. Had all that we needed, the owner has great artist on display. Loved our stay.

Great mountain retreat

Cottage was perfect,lake was refreshing and curt was super easy to deal with. We had everything we needed at the cottage for our stay games, puzzles, movies! Would definitely recommend this cottage!!

We had a great stay at Grace Cottage. The owner, Curt gave us great directions, instructions for the house and suggestions for our trip. The home was comfortable for our family of four and two dogs. It had everything we needed for our long weekend and we would definitely come back. Thanks!

Quiet and relaxing!

It all that I needed. Great outdoor activities if you’re looking to fish,swim,kayak or canoe or just sit on the dock and enjoy the scenery. The cabin has an amazing back deck to enjoy a meal or just recharge after a day on the lake. Top it off with a fire situated in the trees half way between the lake and cabin.

Great owner, well stocked.

Property was as advertised and well stocked. Property was gorgeous. The only minor negative would be the steep path down to the lake as my son took a bit of a tumble down trying to get to the lake too fast. Overall the cottage was a great spot for some relaxation and family time.

First Family Lakeside Cabin Experience

Our family stay at the cabin was a breath of fresh air for the Thanksgiving holiday. A much needed break from the city. Even though the weather was cold, the cabin was warm and comfortable. Bonus of no wifi allowed us to reconnect as a family with dvd movie nights and exploring the area. We are thankful for this wonderful experience.

An awesome and comfortable cabin on an absolutely stunning lake!

Lake Nantahala is absolutely stunning and this cabin was a great base for plenty of outdoor adventures nearby! Curt answered all of our questions quickly, and provided great directions to the cabin and nearby hikes. We hiked to the Wayah bald lookout and took a trip to the GSMNP for an 8 mile hike and still made it back to the cabin with enough sunlight for an evening swim. The cabin was clean and comfy. Definitely hope to make it back sometime!

Great place to retreat to

Cottage is very cute and is the right size for a couple or maybe even two couples or a couple with small children. Absolutely loved the lake. It is so gorgeous. Yes, the steps down to the water are challenging. It’s the mountains. You have to accept that. Had a fantastic time swimming, paddle boarding, and relaxing by the water. Also, really enjoyed the porch on the back of the house, especially sitting out there when it was raining or storming. It was pretty dusty, but it’s a rustic cabin, not an Embassy suites.

Quiet getaway

A beautiful property on the mountain side. Perfect place for family of four and a dog. Enjoyed spending time on the porch, dock and lake. Curt made it easy to find places without using Wii fii. The nights were warm so needed fans and AC. The AC units were not cooling enough. Figuring out how to turnaround our large parked car was a challenge but cautiously learned. Overall a wonderful relaxing vacation!

Great location, peaceful place.

Curt was great with communication, the rental was great. Very peaceful. The no cell service and wifi was awesome to just relax and enjoy the time. Curt provides alot of dvds to watch. The parking is a little tight. But not the end of the world. Had a nice dock to fish from and dock the boat we brought with us. Will be back again. Thanks curt!

My best vacation yet!

Such a great little place. So quiet and relaxing. We are so glad that we picked Grace cottage to spend some family time together. Owners were always helpful and even called to make sure we made it and everything was good with the house. The view is amazing and the lake is so calm. The path to the dock is no joke though. I definitely got my leg workout in but worth every step. All the neighbors wave and the local marina staff were awesome. Hope to get back very soon.

Gorgeous countryside, well maintained house

My wife and I went for a little peace and quiet in a scenic place. It was so pretty and we both enjoyed the place. Dining options are a little limited and make sure you have necessary groceries cause it's a long haul to a grocery store. The house is clean, well equipped and thoughtfully updated throughout, very comfortable for two people. Owner is friendly and involved. Do not underestimate the climb back and forth to the dock, it's very steep and worth it. It's an excellent place to purge your mind of all the unimportant stuff and enjoy simple pleasures.

God's Wonderful Creation

Grace Cottage truly is a warm, cozy welcome. It is just what we needed not only to getaway but also explore the NW N Carolina area. It's safe, quiet, with only the lovely sounds of birds singing and breeze blowing through the trees. We visited at the change of seasons when the mountains were aflame with reds, yellows, and oranges of the trees. The Lake Nantahala waters were clear; you could see the lake bottom along the shoreline. Every morning there was a mystical, romantic mist over the water because of the cool air temperature. So beautiful! Thank you for a lovely stay in God's wonderful creation. The Cummings

No cell service-read description carefully

Owner was easy to work with. However, we somehow missed the info far down in the description that there is NO cell/WiFi service at all in the area or the cabin. Made getting around an unfamiliar area almost impossible. The one restaurant we went to for dinner was good but they don’t serve alcohol, it’s BYOB, but we didn’t know this because we couldn’t get info about anything due to no cell service. We cut our two night stay short and came home. Cabin could use a deep cleaning.

Very peaceful

The climb to the dock is definitely a hike. I'm glad I brought my walking stick since I had back surgery recently. I wish the dock was in the sun too but it may be during other parts of the summer. We went mid/end of August. It was such a beautiful spot! You felt like you were in a tree house! It was very quiet although they were building a house up the road so the traffic was pretty heavy, early in the mornings but that is no one's fault. We loved it and would definitely go back! I loved not having cell service or Wi-Fi!!! A true vacation! Even my dogs were more relaxed and mellow. They seem to love the lake life too. Just a truly beautiful and homey spot. We rented a boat and really enjoyed the gorgeous lake. For sure on our "go to again" list!

Relaxation x 10!

This place was wonderful! We spent half of our day on the deck and the other half on the dock. We were able to relax fully, read and forget all about time. The kitchen was well stocked and there were extra trash bags, TP, etc... if needed. The hike up and down to the dock was a good work out. We left our chairs and cooler down there and refreshed as needed each day. I would recommend bringing your own chairs and umbrella (if you like shade) for the afternoon sun when it hits the dock. The movie selection was good and it was fun to pick one out to watch each evening. The bed was very comfortable and the shower had good water pressure. We enjoyed taking short walks in the neighborhood. The only complaint I have is not having a real glass wine glass to use, otherwise this place was perfect and we hope to return.
