La Villa Anansi est une "tranche de paradis" récemment rénovée située sur le 16e green de Jewels Golf Course, anciennement connu sous le nom de Runaway Bay Golf Course. La propriété dispose d'une cuisine à aire ouverte avec des appareils modernes et un vaste salon. Le grand patio couvert offre un répit ombragé du soleil ainsi qu'une terrasse d'observation pour le parcours de golf à proximité et la piscine sur place. Toutes les chambres sont climatisées et disposent de leur propre salle de bain.

Si vous souhaitez sortir au-delà de la piscine de la villa, votre séjour comprend l'accès à la plage privée, qui se trouve à cinq minutes en voiture ou à 10 minutes à pied. Nice and relaxing

The Villa hit the spot. Best relaxing stay I had in a long time. The staff was wonderful and attentive, they made you feel at home. Food cooked by the chef was great took direction with ease. The grounds of the villa was well kept and it own entertainment with birds in and out of the bird bath.

The property is really lovely. The staff were extremely kind and helpful and the chef was fantastic. Each meal was so tasty and nicely seasoned. It kept us in a good mood all weekend. The quiet and lush surroundings helped us to enjoy long restful sleep. Perfect when you need to unwind.

Excellent stay at Runaway Bay!

First of all, I would like to highlight the amazing staff at the villa, Ms. Olive (the housekeeper) and Austin (the chef). Both made us feel at home and took amazing care of us. Ms. Olive was extremely attentive and kind and made sure we had everything we wanted included taking care of some of our laundry. Additionally, Ms. Olive went out of her way to make sure we were safe during our day trips away from the villa. Austin is an amazing chef who made sure we got to taste the local dishes. The property is beautiful and allowed us to relax and unwind from the real world. Jean, the property owner, was extremely attentive and kind and even came by the villa to say bye to us on our final morning before we headed for the airport. If I am ever in Runaway Bay again I will be sure to stay here! I was just at the villa with one of my girlfriends, but would highly recommend it for family trips with young children.

Just Awesome

From the moment we booked, we had a good feeling about this place. The owner stayed in touch throughout the process and kept us informed of all the services that could be arranged ahead of time to ensure our stay was pleasant. Upon arrival, we were greeted by this amazing, well-mannered gentleman (Godson), who has been re-named "Godspeed." He brought our luggage inside and then gave us all delicious, freshly-picked coconuts. Later, he accompanied us to the local grocery store, helped us select fresh vegetables and other produce which he used to prepare finger-licking, mouth-watering dishes (fresh juices, jerk chicken, ackee and saltfish, festival, porridge) throughout our stay. Ms. Olive is the housekeeper and is such a wonderful lady. She made sure everything was clean and neat at all times and we had everything we needed to feel comfortable. Together, Ms. Olive and Godspeed delivered the kind of service that rivaled any 5-star hotel on the Island. We will be staying here again. This was truly a great experience. Thank you Ms. Jean, Godspeed and Ms. Olive. We appreciate you!

You will not be alone

The groundskeeper lives in the main house, in a room right off the kitchen. The main house has four rooms: his room, the kitchen, a living area with a TV, and the master bedroom. There were 2 other bedrooms not attached to the main house. Unfortunately, his presence single-handedly ruined our anniversary. When our friends visited, we all looked at the pool and were mortified by how cloudy and filthy it was. The groundskeeper came into our room daily to check if we had turned off the AC. We would return to a brutally hot room that took hours to cool down. Because there was no safes in the rooms and we were not given a key we were forced to carry our valuables with us whenever we left the property. Thankfully, our car was not broken into, and nothing was stolen.There is a small bathroom between the tv room and the bedroom. This bathroom was used by company and us because of convenience, we found a small roll of toilet paper placed on top of the toilet. There was no soap or hand towel. Wondering out loud where something might be the groundskeeper appeared from his room and showed me exactly what I was looking for, indicating he was listening to our conversations and watching us. One evening while watching TV he just walked into the room.We were given no keys to the property. We could not lock our room, the front door, or the gate. They did have internet access, but the signal did not reach our bedroom which was very unfortunate.Recommendation run!!!

I'd like to clarify a few points about our full-service villa experience: Our property operates as a full-service villa with dedicated staff to ensure guests have everything they need. Our house manager responded to assist you in the kitchen after hearing difficulties with the appliances - not from listening to conversations, but because we want to help guests properly operate our brand-new equipment. We currently have a double oven unit that was damaged by improper use from a previous guest, which is why we proactively offer assistance with kitchen appliances to prevent similar issues. Regarding the pool, it's maintained and cleaned daily when guests are present. We noted that you and your party used the pool daily during your stay, so we're surprised by the cleanliness concerns mentioned in your review. Regarding air conditioning, we do request that guests turn off the AC when leaving their rooms, especially when windows are open, as this helps maintain the system's efficiency and keeps utility costs manageable. Our staff monitors this to ensure the AC functions properly for your comfort when you return. All rooms are stocked with initial supplies of toilet paper, soap, and towels. When these run out during your stay, additional supplies are available upon request. Security measures are in place throughout the property, and our staff can provide guidance on securing valuables during your stay. Sorry this stay didn't meet your expectations.

Overall a very fun experience

The property was lovely it was just a bit hard for our driver to find. The place was always kept clean. It had a nice island feel to it but still classy. We got home cooked meals which was very good. The downside is, the staff made us feel a little restricted with what we could do or where we could go. Almost like we she was parenting us. The owner never checked in with us so we weren’t able to tell her. Those were minor issues, so other than that, it was a pleasant stay.

Amazing

Amazing is all I can say the pictures didn’t do the property enough justice. This property exceeded my expectations, the rooms were nicely done and had its own bathroom, the pool was beautiful and made our stay 10 times better. Jackie was such a sweetheart and right after leaving me and my friends were missing her. Jean was a spectacular host she welcomed me and my guests on the first day which so happened to be on a day of lock down and we had no idea we wouldn’t be able to go out and get food but Jean came through with the eats and drinks and she also allowed me to accommodate my cousin who was traveling back with us. The amenities were not for at all and there so happen to be a free open beach right off the main. Definitely a 100 out 10 and when I visit again I definitely plan on staying at this villa again and I’ve already recommended it to a few friends.

Sun and serenity

This was our second time staying here. It is a beautiful location to relax in the sun or on the very large shaded veranda. The wonderful pool, comfortable beds, and outdoor dining all make for a great experience. The staff is great: available for your needs but respectful of your privacy. The owner is quick to respond to inquiries. All in all, a great experience.

Beautiful Villa and then there's Jackie!

The villa is SPECTACULAR, from the beautiful kitchen, the pool and surrounding areas, we felt relaxed and at home. However the pure treasure is Jackie. From the moment we arrived and until the moment we left, Jackie was there providing all the guidance and direction we needed. Jackie will always be a part of my family. I only wish we could've taken her home with us.

We enjoyed our stay at Villa Ananse. The the house is well kept, clean, and great location.

Great property, newly renovated. Rooms are spacious with a well designed kitchen and family room allowing for lots of family time. Great location... with beach close by. We spent a lot of time enjoying the back patio and pool. We had most meals there. The home attendants Jackie and Owen were great. Jackie made us feel at home and offered to prepare whatever we requested. They both ensured our safety at all times. The owner was very professional and maintained communication through out the entire process without being overly intrusive. She accomated all requests and even went as far as ordering a special cake, on very short notice, and had it delivered just in time for my mom's birthday. I would have given 5 stars but we did not have hot water most of the time which made it rather difficult with small children. There is a solar water heater that works very well when there is sun. Midday the water is very hot. The early mornings and evenings the water is cold. Jackie explained that something wasnt working and that it would be fixed in the near future. This was our only issue aside from our stay being too short! We had a great time and would definitely stay again.
