La Villa Andromeda est une conception semi-circulaire unique reflétant le patrimoine maritime de la Crète. Conçue par une famille bien voyagée comme résidence privée, la villa se trouve en hauteur sur son propre terrain privé de 4000 mètres avec vue à 180 degrés sur la mer. Le luxe, l'espace, l'isolement et la relaxation étaient au premier plan dans nos esprits pour la conception. Cependant, nous voulions également un environnement réfléchi et sûr pour les familles où chacun peut se détendre et trouver sa propre paix et sa vie privée en toute sécurité.

La villa est située à l'extérieur du village de Kokkino Horio rendu célèbre par "Zorba le Grec" et à quelques minutes du charmant village de Plaka et juste en bas de la route des plages et des restaurants d'Almirida. La région est facilement accessible depuis l'aéroport international de La Canée à 20 minutes ou Héraklion.

L'extrémité ouest de la Crète est plus luxuriante et verte que l'extrémité est et l'azur infini de la mer cède rapidement la place aux montagnes et aux intérieurs intacts remplis d'oliveraies et de sites historiques. La Canée vaut une journée, chargée de l'histoire et de l'atmosphère d'une ancienne forteresse vénitienne.

La chambre principale 1 a une terrasse privée, une salle de bain privée et sa propre baignoire en pierre luxueuse.
Plongez dans une intimité totale tout en admirant la vue.

La chambre principale 2 dispose d'une terrasse privée et d'une salle de bains privative.

La chambre 3 est une chambre double confortable

La chambre 4 dispose d'un beau grand lit superposé et d'un bureau pour enfants.

La chambre 5 est un confortable double en bas

La cuisine est aménagée avec un bar pour le petit-déjeuner afin que le chef ne soit pas exclu, et dispose d'appareils haut de gamme et de tout le nécessaire pour préparer des repas simples ou fantaisistes.

Une salle à manger séparée se prolonge dans un salon complet. Toute la pièce peut être ouverte sur la terrasse pour donner une sensation d'espace infini et de chaleur.

La villa a une magnifique terrasse sur le toit qui est sans danger pour toute la famille mais offre une vue imprenable sur la baie.

Immédiatement à l'extérieur de la cuisine se trouve une belle salle à manger ombragée et un barbecue extérieur.

Devant la villa se trouve une superbe piscine à débordement avec une "piscine à débordement" dédiée aux enfants d'un côté, peu profonde et idéale pour les tout-petits.

La villa, totalement fermée par de hautes clôtures et des murs, dispose de plusieurs niveaux de jardins et à la toute fin a son propre "coucher du soleil" perché comme par magie au-dessus de la mer et à l'extérieur des murs.

La Villa Andromeda comprend naturellement la télévision par satellite complète, Internet WifI, la climatisation, l'énergie solaire, la sécurité vidéo, le système d'alarme et à peu près toutes les nécessités pour des vacances en douceur.

Un gérant de maison habite à quelques minutes et est de garde. Le nettoyage quotidien de la maison peut être organisé pour une somme modique. De nombreux autres services sont disponibles sur demande.

Faites de la Villa Andromeda votre maison pendant une semaine ou plus et revenez rafraîchi et détendu. C'est notre maison de rêve et nous espérons qu'elle sera temporairement la vôtre également.

Villa Andromeda is exactly how it looks in the pictures and how the other reviewers have described. The road to and from the property is fine apart from a twenty metre section where you have to be especially careful - we managed fine in two normal front wheel drive manual hire cars for a party of eight. Robert has found a great team of hosts - led by Angelina who look after everything for you. They even went as far as improving that small part of the road leading to the villa for us! The location and the villa are truly amazing with the most beautiful sunset we’ve ever seen. There are plenty of lovely tavernas and restaurants nearby with lots of local supermarkets that are reasonably priced and stock so many options. So you can get the best of both worlds - complete solitude in the most beautiful setting or sample typical Greek traditional offerings. The old town in Chania is a must visit and we’d also recommend hiring a boat for half a day - we did both self drive and a captained private catamaran which were both awesome.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this beautiful villa. Everything was even better than we expected — the villa is spacious, immaculate and equipped with absolutely everything you could possibly need.The infinity pool is simply magnificent, and the views and privacy make the whole place feel truly special. We were a family of three generations, and the villa gave us the perfect setting to spend precious time together and create wonderful memories.The location is also excellent for exploring western Crete. During our stay, we visited Elafonissi, about 1h30 by car, Kissamos, from where we took the boat to visit Balos and Gramvousa, and Falassarna, another spectacular beach about 1h30 away. We also visited Lake Kournas, only about 25 minutes from the villa, and the beautiful village of Vamos.We actually enjoyed Rethymno even more than Chania, and we completely fell in love with Kera Beach, which became our favourite nearby beach.A very special thank you to Robert and Angelina for their kindness, communication and hospitality. We felt very comfortable throughout our stay.We only wish we had booked 15 days instead of 10! We would happily return and highly recommend this villa to anyone looking for a beautiful, peaceful and truly memorable stay in Crete.

This was an incredible way to experience Crete! The villa is amazing and the pictures don’t do it justice, it is so much better in person. Everything was as described. The villa manager was an excellent source of information and helped us book additional services during our stay that made this a once in a lifetime vacation. I will for sure book this villa again. It is close enough to all the things you need but still remote enough to feel like you have a space all to yourself. Thank you and can’t wait to come back.

We have just spent a very relaxing week at Villa Andromeda. Yes the villa is off the beaten track, very much so.... however the view is absolutely stunning and well worth it. You will need a car as there are no local shops or amenities. Ants and wasps are a slight problem that need addressing, however this is just a small thing. We really did have a wonderful stay. Any issues were handled immediately by the wonderful housekeeper and it was a lovely touch to have a mid-week clean and change of all linen, etc.On arrival there was groceries to welcome us in. The infinity pool is a superb addition to the view, and we thoroughly enjoyed tracking all the marine and flight activities. We especially enjoyed the Cretan goats with the shepherd on the mountainsides - very authentic!Communication with the host is 2nd to none, and Robert was great at taking on feedback and addressing things.Beautiful home, would definitely recommend. Thank you for having us.

Luxury villa with gorgeous views

Beautiful property overlooking the bay. The amenities were great, very comfortable rooms and great pool and outdoor space. This location is a bit of a trek from the road but worthwhile once you get there.

Wonderful view

Enjoyed the stay. Lots of interesting things to watch from the house. From ships and boats entering and exiting the harbor, planes arriving and the goats were alway entertaining.

Best wake-up views imagineable

Spectacular views. Spacious villa - super clean. Angelina was super-helpful - was there to meet us in the dead of night when our flights had been delayed - there's a great BBQ - the kitchen's great - you'll enjoy yourselves - but you do need a car!

Peaceful and Spectacular. Brand new house.

Great spot with breathtaking view. Villa has all mod cons. Both families very happy. Pool had separate kid's section too for toddlers which was great. Loved it.

Fantastic!

We had a wonderful holiday at this great villa. All the facilities really were as good as all the other reviewers have said. The owner was very helpful and responsive pre-trip. The house manager was very friendly, knowledgeable about the house and surrounding area, and ensured our stay went smoothly. We all want to return as soon as possible!

Heavenly Views

The house is very spacious and clean. It overlooks the ocean and mountains with great sunsets. Pick a suitable car for some clearance for the road leading up to the house and best to arrive during daylight. Nearby villages have great tavernas with short drives. Would recommend.

Well equipped villa with amazing panorama views

The owner responds quick at any questions. During the stay property manager Andreas took really good care of us. The Villa is very nice situated, in a private surrounding. The pool area is the best with a lovely infinity pool with panoramic sea views and perfect with a connecting kids pool or relaxing pool during sunsets. We highly recommend this Villa, the owner and the manager.

The most spectacular place!

Villa Andromeda was truly amazing - the house and the views could not be beat!! It was the perfect location for our family trip and we hope to return as soon as possible! I can’t express in words how stunning the location is, and the house is built to capitalize on the view and a sense of outdoor living. Angelina and Dimitrious were so helpful, and even met us on the road when our gps failed on our first arrival and we took some wrong turns in the dark of night. Everything about this house was perfect for us and we loved Plaka, Almaryda, and Chania as well. Best vacation ever.

Absolutely stunning 5 star Villa

We have stayed in properties all around the world and this one is right at the top of the list. From our initial contact with the owner, to seeing the property ourselves first hand and to meeting the very professional and most helpful property manager Andreas, it was an excellent experience in every respect. No corners have been cut whatsoever with the standard of the property or facilities, and even the welcome pack was extensive. The view is amazing as well with the property facing a gorgeous setting sun. It doesn't get any better than this!!

The place to be

We spent 2 lovely weeks in august 2017 in this marvelous villa. The location and the view are amazing. On the top of a rock, 200mt over the sea and the Souda bay in front of you. Best moments during the day: waking up in that place and dreaming during sunset. It is baby friendly and the swimming pool is the place to be. 10 minutes driving from nice beach, shopping, restaurants. The manager of the villa, a very nice and friendly person, took care of us everyday. We are all missing Creta and the villa!! Daniela

Wonderful experience at Villa Andromeda

Villa Andromeda was everything we expected and more. Robert was a wonderful host with quick responses to any questions. Andreas, the property manager, met us at the property and provided us with a quick overview of the property and a few tips to make our stay even more enjoyable. He even checked in with us after a few days stay with warm croissants! The property has amazing views!! A little off the beaten path but exactly what we were looking for.....peace and quiet. Thank you Robert for sharing your property with us....very much appreciated. We would highly recommend this property.

Amazing place for great vacation !

We loved everything about our stay! The view is stunning, the home is lovely, clean and very well equipped with great design. Robert, the owner was very helpful and responsive at any time. Andreas, the house manager was very nice and helpful with recommendations about the house and surrounding area. The welcome pack was extensive, which was very appreciable as we arrived at night, after a long trip! The path to get down to the villa can be intimidating at first but we got used quickly. Close distance to very charming villages (mini market, fishmonger, tourist shops). 40 minutes to Chania, 60 minutes to Rethymno. We already miss the gorgeous setting sun!

Amazing Villa

This villa by far has been the most amazing villa ive stayed in, the view that you get is eye watering! It sets the mood and its just such a good vibe, you also have absolute privacy. It feels safe. The only very small inconvenience was the road to getting to the villa, but if you go with caution and slow. You can make it to the villa with any car small or big, just be cautious of the rocks. Other than that... i will be coming back with the family next year. Looking foward to it! Special thanks to Angelina and the repair men for the quick response when needed!

The Best View in the World

We stayed very recently at Villa Adromeda and absolutely loved every minute of it! The views are unparalleled - we have stayed at some amazing places all over the world but I don't think we have ever had a view like this. And the sun sets right in the middle of the whole thing - you can't get much better than that. The villa is like a brand new house with every gadget and feature you would expect in a new build. Andreas, the manager, looked after us superbly, we have never had such service and such a welcome when we have rented. I would recommend this villa to anyone who loves total privacy but not too far away from life! It soothed our souls and regenerated us every time we looked out of the window or walked on to the patio. It was truly magical. Many thanks

Beautiful Stunning Villa

This is a very well equipped, clean villa with absolutely stunning views. Robert - the owner answered our groups emails in a very timely and honest way. Andrea's the property manager was there when we arrived, he is very professional, friendly and helpful with recommendations for restaurants and places to visit. He stressed he was on call 24/7 for us - fortunately we never needed to test this out! He came a couple of times during our stay with warm croissants for breakfast and extra tea bags just to check we were OK and if we had any questions. The final road leading to the Villa is step and curved and the first time we drove down felt like a leap of faith - but our drivers soon became experts in navigating it without problem. We found the local people to be very friendly. A car is essential. We hope to return one day. Thank you.

Fab-u-lous

We have been holidaying in this area for 20 years. This villa is by far the best one we have ever stayed in . Its spotless. The view well you cant describe you just have to stare and stare - and take lots of photos!! As other reviews said hire a 4x4 for the road and better you arrive whilst it’s light for the first journey. The villa itself is immaculate, well looked after , well maintained, good air con, good water pressure and hot water for showering, tip top sheets and towels, beds really comfortable slept like logs as its so quiet with the electric blinds down, windows open to the sound of the sea crashing on the rocks below, the mid week clean was immaculate and the staff looking after it cant do enough if you need to sort anything out. As we know the area well it was easy for us to know nothing was very far away even thought it feels isolated it is not. Thats the joy of this villa. Tranquility and awesome views.

Incredible veiw

Perfect veiw, lovely home, friendly helpful host. I could go on and on and on. My first trip to Greece and this was a perfect way to start it. I've never had such a beautiful veiw to wake up to every morning, or such a beautiful sunset to watch, to close the day. The villa gives you a feeling of isolation but still within close distance to very charming and fun villages. 1 of the best days we had was lunch in the nearby village of Plaka followed by just strolling the area streets to admire the cute homes. The biggest problem with the home? Not wanting to leave it to explore the area. We did though, 40 minutes to Chania, 60 minutes to Rethymno. Andrea's, the property manager was really cool and helpful. He even had some great suggestions. I can't recommend it enough. Derek

Wonderful home away from it all

This home is just as described modern and feels like ship with beautiful views and a pool. It was easy to enjoy evenings outside watching the sunset, swimming, grilling, eating dinner outside. Each bedroom includes a bathroom which was great for our group. Beds were comfortable. The main floor had plenty of space to relax and cook. The pool deck had many loungers and the house provided shade for much of the day. This house was perfect for us, but be realistic about how you spend your days. If you want to head out to explore parts of crete each day, it is 20 mins to the main road. The road in requires slow careful driving as parts are not paved. We rented a toyota yaris and it was fine as long as we watched where we drove. We really enjoyed spending beach time and eating lunch in Almyrida which is about 10 mins from the house. The town of Plaka about 7 mins away had nice village tavernas and grocery stores. The kitchen had nice amenities inc large fridge, dishwasher, coffee pot, kettle, panini press and the host left welcome snacks that we enjoyed. I would happily spend another visit here!

We are a fun loving, and quite global family and have lived in Australia, Asia, Eastern Europe, and America. We have enjoyed renting many types of homes for our vacations and always made a list of things we would like to see in a dream home.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

Crete was love at first sight. Villa Andromeda was love at first site ! The setting is simply unbelievable, above the bay on its' own private promontory. The site combines all the elements and appeals to all the senses. It captures the sun all day, there is a constant sea breeze and the sound of the ocean is softly ever-present. We purchased the land and then built a home that is unique in design and thoughtfully laid out for families and groups.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

We designed the benefits. A safe house and garden. An abundance of private separated spaces to sunbathe, read or snooze. A perfect infinity pool to cool off, coupled with a lovely mini pool so the little ones can splash around and with moveable shade so they can take a dip anytime. A villa that completely opens up to the patio and the views beyond. A well equipped kitchen to cook and socialize from. A great basement area and media room, and space for teenagers to hang out. We think we have put it all into our place and hope you will call it yours for a week or two.
