Welcome to The Hideaway! Relax with the whole family at this peaceful, gorgeously appointed luxury farmhouse.
At more than 4,000’ above sea level, this is the perfect place to escape the summer heat or enjoy a cozy, idyllic winter wonderland. Located in a quiet & picturesque area between Banner Elk & Valle Crucis, this high elevation pastureland will make you feel like you’re a world away while being a short drive to both downtown Banner Elk & the original Mast General Store in Valle Crucis.
The Hideaway is a 4 bedroom, 3.5 bath luxury farmhouse situated on gorgeous high elevation pastureland with everything you need for a peaceful, relaxing getaway.
This property is perfect in all four seasons: come to ski or cozy up in a winter wonderland, experience the magic of a mountain spring, enjoy the High Country's cooler summer weather and abundant outdoor adventures, or take in the unbelievable beauty of the fall foliage. This is the perfect place for families, friends, couples, wedding parties, girls' weekends, and anyone looking for a relaxing and luxurious getaway.
Please note that this property is NOT pet friendly, and no smoking or vaping is allowed on property.
⭐️ LAYOUT ⭐️
The first floor includes a peaceful and cozy open concept living/kitchen/dining area, a large gas fireplace, primary suite, laundry room, powder room, mudroom, and 10' ceilings that make the entire space feel light and bright.
The expansive primary suite includes a King bed and large bathroom with double vanity, soaking tub, huge shower, and separate WC.
Outdoor space includes a wide front porch with ample seating, side porch with sectional & fire table, adjacent open deck with grill and outdoor dining for 8, and fire pit with 8 Adirondack chairs. All porches have pasture and long range mountain views.
The second floor holds the movie room/den, secondary primary suite, bunk room , and a fourth cozy Queen bedroom. The bunk room and Queen room are connected via a Jack & Jill bath with a separate tub shower/WC room.

This house sleeps a maximum of 12 guests when all beds + Queen sleeper sofa are used.

The best part of The Hideaway is the beauty of the property itself - with 800 sqft of covered porch space to enjoy the gorgeous views, and open, bright interiors with 10' ceilings, the property is flat-out gorgeous.
FAMILY FRIENDLY - Our bunk room closet is stocked with games and books for your little ones to enjoy! A high chair, pack & play, baby gate, and child plates/utensils are also provided.
LAUNDRY ROOM - Guests are welcome to use our high efficiency washer & dryer during their stay. A starter kit of laundry pods is provided.
DEN/MOVIE ROOM - Located on the second floor, this room is equipped with a large sectional couch, 65" Smart TV, and cabinet filled with board games.
COVERED PORCHES - The front porch has pasture & long range views with a sectional and day bed swing. The side covered porch has a sectional couch, fire table, Smart TV, and outdoor dining table for 8.
FIRE PIT - The fire pit is located down a stone walkway, surrounded by 8 Adirondack chairs.
PARKING - There is ample flat parking for 4-5 cars at the top of the driveway.

HIGH QUALITY TOILETRIES - Each bathroom is stocked with a travel toiletry kit from Signature Amenities. Each product is 100% cruelty-free, gluten-free, paraben-free, vegan, and biodegradable. All products are formulated with essential and olive oils with no added coloring, and are naturally scented with notes of bergamot, sandalwood, cedar, and orange rind for an invigorating and refreshing experience.
FULLY STOCKED KITCHEN - The kitchen has everything you need to cook whatever your heart desires. Enjoy the luxury appliances, gas range, walk-in pantry, built-in refrigerator & dishwasher, stocked coffee & tea bar, many pots/pans/tools, basic spices, and plenty of counter space.
SUPPLY STARTER KIT - We're happy to provide our guests with a starter kit of toilet paper, paper towels, laundry pods, dishwasher pods, trash bags, dish soap, & a sponge.

1. Can you accommodate an early check-in? What about a late check-out?
Our standard check-in time is 4:00 PM on your day of arrival, and the standard check-out time is 10:00 AM on your day of your departure. Early check-ins or late check-outs must be approved in advance, and are entirely dependent on the needs of our cleaning team. Thank you for helping us respect their time!
When there is no same-day turnover, we are happy to offer early check-in starting at 1:00 PM at no additional cost. For earlier arrivals, a $150 fee applies.
Late check-out may also be available if there is no same-day turnover and our cleaning team has the flexibility to accommodate this request. Any check-outs later than 12:00 PM will incur a $150 fee.
2. Do I need 4WD or snow chains in the winter?
If winter weather is possible during your trip, we recommend a 4WD vehicle and/or snow chains. While our road/driveway is not especially steep, we're at a high elevation and can accumulate a good bit of snow and ice!
