A very pleasant stay!
First I want to say that the property manager was great. There was a glitch with the VRBO process, and I was no longer able to see my reservation or respond to prior confirmatory emails. The night before we were due to check in, I went to email him what time we would come, and I was not able to. This was New Year's Eve, and he was still very prompt and responsive to my worries. He was also very accommodating to our schedule.
The place itself is very pleasant. Just right for 2 or 3 people, would be tight with 4. Very clean and the kitchen has everything you could want in terms of both pots/pans, and condiments/spices. It's a 5 min walk to the nearest 24 hour supermarket, so a great place to stay, if, like me, you prefer your own inexpensive cooking to overpriced restaurants for most meals.
It's great to be so close to the tube (Make sure to exit on the Warwick side, not the Earl's court side, or you'll go way out of your way). However, it is about 20 min tube ride to most of the stuff average tourists will want to see.
Only down side is this is not the best place if someone in your group is a light sleeper. The floor boards in the place are quite loud, so you may wake others if you get up in the night. Also, the upstairs neighbors on their floor boards are loud as well, so if you're a light sleeper, you will certainly wake up. This wasn't a problem for me since I sleep with earplugs, but my daughter doesn't, and she had some difficulty.
Overall, a lovely week!
We’d love to see stay here again!
Three of us stayed in the flat for over a week in December. It was a wonderful place to stay, so warm and welcoming. It’s decorated in a very thoughtful manner. Everything you could possibly need for cooking is in the kitchen. The couch is indeed very comfortable both as a couch and a bed.
Great home base
When we arrived we were greeted by a scaffold, dust and the sounds of demolition from a floor above :(. But once we were in the ground floor flat we heard little. The kid up stairs made more noise and even that was minor. The space is cozy and compact. The small galley kitchen was well stocked with cooking tools, coupled with a nearby Tesco's it let us stock up for our own meals giving us flexibility to be "out on the town" or in to unwind from the day. The ready access to Earl's Court station gave us access to all of London via the Underground. For the price, convenience and amenities we'd recommend this to our friends AND stay here again.
Clean Comfortable and Convenient
Good sleeps in the comfortable quiet bedroom. Great morning Nespresso coffee on the patio. 5 minute walk to the tube or grocery store. Nice hot showers. Reliable fast Wifi and electric converter supplied. We did not cook but the kitchen is well stocked and you could BBQ on the patio. 30 minutes to Heathrow on the tube. Super spot to stay!
Great location and has everything you need
This was a great one bedroom apartment in the heart of Earl's Court. You are minutes away from the buses and the Earl's Court Tube station. You cannot ask for a better location for a base to explore London. There are lots of restaurants and grocery stores close by within walking distance.
The host is very accommodating and communicative and helped us out with our stay.
The unit is well appointed, maintained and clean. You had a full kitchen with dishwasher, gas stove and oven. You also had a bbq on your own private patio. There is also a washer and dryer in the unit - a bonus! We loved the space this flat had. We could not ask for anything more. We stayed for a week at the end of July 2017. It made our stay in London memorable.
