We were visiting Cincinnati over the Labor Day weekend. This house is close to downtown Cincinnati. It was clean and had plenty of room for our large family. Would stay again. Great visit!

Amazing Stay

Our group absolutely loved the house. Plenty of room and had more cots and air mattresses if needed. Great stay. And close (walking distance) to a cute neighborhood with restaurants and coffee shops

Ladies weekend

We had a great stay for a ladies weekend to explore Cincinnati and attend the Kentucky derby! Plenty of space and a bed for everyone. Would definitely return. Cutest coffee shop around the corner!

The Gray Whale, Dayton KY. July 7-14, 2026. 16 Guests.The property was easy to find and the location was excellent. It was just a short drive to the activities and places we wanted to visit in northern Kentucky and in Cincinnati.The extra kitchen with the extra refrigerator was extremely useful in keeping our beverages cold and meal prep for 16 people! The outside sitting area was a peaceful and restful area where the kids and grandkids enjoyed some cornhole games.Although we never met the hosts in person, they communicated everything we needed to know. So much so, we never had to contact them for additional information!We would definitely stay there again when visiting the Cincinnati area.Norm

We had 12 people in our group, the house is very spacious. We loved that it had 2 kitchens and plenty of beds. The host was available whenever I had questions.

Family celebration

This is a great property to host a large group. Multiple gathering spaces on two floors, two fully equipped kitchens, ample bedrooms and bathrooms. Hosts very responsive and accommodating to special requests. The location is great, easy access to interstate and 10 minutes or less from locations in Cinncinnati or Northern Kentucky

family get together

Great for multi family groups, we were able to spread out and have some quiet spaces. The house is well equipped with bath and kitchen items and suggestions from the hosts. Only minus--the grill is pretty rusted out , probably needs to be replaced.

The house is big. Plenty of room for 6 adults and 7 kids. Although it is an older house, it was clean. Although we saw some reviews questioning the location, it seems like a nice established neighborhood. We would definitely consider rebooking this house if we're ever in the Cincinnati area again.

Celebration of the life of our brother

Even though the reason for being together was not the happiest, the host made it brighter. They allowed more than the reserved amount a little time to gather, share stories and just be together after attending services for our brother. I appreciated that so much. I would definitely stay there again. First time in that particular location but it was perfect.

Thanksgiving Family Reunion

This property worked great for our side of my family (15 of us) to be near my brother’s family(19). We were able to celebrate Thanksgiving dinner together in their homes and host a few get togethers at the Grey Whale. The house was spacious, well equipped and clean. We enjoyed the local shopping and restaurants plus the nearby ferry ride to a Steelers/Bengals game!

Great for Groups

A group of us were in town for NCECA, the annual ceramic conference. The Gray Whale was perfect for our group. We used the downstairs for our communal space and the upstairs for quieter conversations. The location was only three miles from the convention center and has several restaurants and businesses nearby. We all agreed we would definitely book this accommodation again if we were to find ourselves back in Cincinnati in the future.

We loved the arrangement of living quarters and the room for plenty to choose where to sleep. However, for older groups, you may want to consider adding more lighting at the stairs. We had two instances where a couple of people almost fell because they couldn't see where the steps met the landing. The house was VERY clean, and the managers were quick to respond when we had a problem. We would stay at the Gray Whale again if the opportunity arises!

Perfect for Family Gathering

My family and I rented this house last month to gather family from around the country for my Dad's funeral. It was truly perfect. It was clean and cheerful. During a sad time for our family it enabled us to spend real time together. I know my Dad would have loved it. Loads of dishware and extra beds in every closet. Games for Kids and Adults. Even a backyard for them to play in. Thank you for making our weekend as pleasant as possible.

We rented house for a college reunion with our families. We had 10 adults and 3 children and we had plenty of space and beds. House is very convenient to shopping and restaurants. We had a slight problem with the door code at check in, that the host took care of immediately when contacted. It was a great stay and we are grateful that we were able to use this house to reconnect with old friends.

We selected the Gray Whale for our Girls Week house this year. It was a great choice for us! The house was spacious, clean, and well supplied. We had enough beds for the 7 of us. There were 2 living areas so one could get away to read or relax when needed. We spent a large amount of time in the evening utilizing the first-floor dining area for playing games. It suited our needs. The location is fantastic. It was close to everything we wanted to see and do in Bellevue, Covington, Florence, and the Cincinnati area. Who knew there were so many things to do in Cincinnati! Communication with the hosts was wonderful. Check-in and Check-out were both easy. We would highly recommend the Gray Whale when you are in the Cincinnati area.

Fantastic stay for large group

We used this location as one of two properties for bringing a large group down to northern Kentucky for 2-3 days of activities and couldn't have been happier. The home lived up to our expectations and our communications with the host were by far the best I've experienced with VRBO. I can't say enough what a help the hosts were and would recommend them and their properties to anyone! If you're in the Cincy/N Kentucky area and need a space for a group or large family gathering, you'll find this will fit the bill!
