à propos de cet hébergement
Casita Jungle Nest, 5 minutes drive to Playa Linda, 15 to Dominical, Wifi Starlink
Modern yet cozy, the Casita Jungle Nest is an ideal retreat for couples or intimate friends looking to reconnect with nature and tranquility. Sitting along a unique stretch of coastline where the tropical mountains come the closest to the ocean, and adjacent to the countryâs largest green belt of national parks, Casita Jungle Nest is strategically positioned in one of the most visited destinations in Costa Rica.
! We are close to the ocean but up on a hill, a 4x4 car is mandatory!
Spanning 35 sqm + 15 sqm deck, it features:
âą A thoughtfully designed bedroom for restful nights, supplied with ceiling fan and air-conditioning (if necessary)
âą The bedroom features a walk-in closet, which doubles as a changing room and is equipped with a 24/7 dehumidifier to ensure your belongings stay fresh and dry
âą One bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen for your convenience.
âą Custom, handmade furniture crafted from Costa Rican cedar.
âą modern amenities like a washer and dryer
âą A private terrace where you can unwind, savor the jungleâs sounds and sights, and enjoy the fresh Costa Rican breeze
âą Large windows that invite natural light and ventilation
âą The house was completed in December 2024, so the plants in our garden are still growing: very soon they will be blossoming in their full beauty!
âą Although surrounded by the lush jungle, youâll never feel isolated. The main house is just 50 meters away from the Casita, ensuring youâre always connected and supported whenever needed.
âą Our place is immersed in the jungle, 90 meters above sea level on a breezy hill: to reach the property you'll have to drive a steep dirt road, a 4X4 car is compulsory! Having a 4X4 car will also allow you to safely visit amazing places in Costa Rica that are impossible to see with a 2 wheel drive, due to lack of paved roads beside the main ones: waterfalls, mountains, valleys, secluded magical places, other amazing hosts!
Experience comfort in harmony with the serene beauty of the jungle.
Casita Jungle Nest sits in AmartiRica, a 4-hectare paradise nestled in the lush tropical forest of the Matapalo Savegre Hills, within a secure gated community.
The property is uphill, a 4x4 vehicle is mandatory!
While enjoying the place you are welcome to roam around the jungle, reach down, deep in the earth, to the creek.
The name AmartiRica holds a special meaning for us, blending the Italian word Amarti (Loving Yourself) with the Spanish Rica (Rich, as in Costa Ricaâthe Rich Coast*). It reflects our journey of creating a haven of love, connection, and natural beauty. Our story began in Tuscany, Italy, where we created our first home, Podere Amarti. Finding this slice of paradise in Costa Rica felt like fateâa "Rich Love" indeed!
*A note on the name "Costa Rica". When Christopher Columbus landed in Costa Rica in 1502, he believed the land was rich in gold and precious metals, dubbing it the "Rich Coast." While gold may not have abounded, Costa Rica's true treasure lies in its lush biodiversity and natural beauty.
Please feel free to connect with us. We will keep you updated if we are in AmartiRica or back in Italy. If we are in, do not hesitate, if you wish so, to connect with us. Otherwise our property manager will always be ready to support you for any special need. We are happy to help you create your experience in Costa Rica.
Nestled in the magical hills of Matapalo Savegre, AmartiRica offers an unparalleled experience, less than 5 minutes driving to the pristine Playa Linda Beach and just 15 minutes north of the rustic surf town of Dominicalâthe gateway to Costa Ricaâs breathtaking Southern Zone.
âą Stunning Location: A unique coastline where tropical mountains meet the ocean, surrounded by the countryâs largest green belt of national parks.
âą Ecovillages & Holistic Retreats: The region between AmartiRica and Uvita is home to an inspiring network of ecovillage projects and holistic retreat centers with which we actively collaborate, such as Awake Uvita and the renowned Imiloa Institute, offering transformational workshops, retreats, and experiences.
⹠Effortless Access: Only 3 hours by car or 25 minutes by air from San José International Airport (SJO).
âą Convenience: Proximity to essential services and provisions in one of Costa Ricaâs most ecologically rich valleys.
Traveling to AmartiRica is a breeze.
Centrally located, AmartiRica has easy access of supplies and equipment, and provisions from one of the most ecologically-rich valleys in the country. Simple access to the area from San José international airport is via a 20-minute regional flight or via the most modern highway in the country.
âą By Air: 25-minute flight from SJO to Quepos (Sansa or Costa Rica Green Air), then 15 minutes by car.
âą By Car: 3 hours (120 miles) along Costa Ricaâs modern highway.
Major flight times to San José (SJO):

..... to be continued....
Welcome, dear guest! You are about to experience the wonders of a vibrant tropical forest. A tropical forest is a hot, humid biome where it rains often (hopefully not too much during your stay!). The following rules and suggestions are intended for you to have a beautiful and mindful experience.
1. Bioclimatic Design:
Our home is designed to blend harmoniously with the environment, which means there are many windowsâsome high up, others near the floor. Please remember to close any windows you open before heading out for exploration.
2. Fans:
While the natural airflow is usually sufficient, the humidity can sometimes be high. To maintain comfort and reduce dampness, please keep the fans on, especially in the bathrooms. If the fans bother you during the day or night, feel free to turn them off, but remember to switch them back on when you leave the house.
3. Dehumidifier:
Your closet also serves as a "dry-room." Please keep the dehumidifier running at all times to protect your belongings from excess moisture.
4. Air Conditioning:
Typically, the ocean breeze and ceiling fan are sufficient, but if youâre feeling uncomfortable, feel free to use the air conditioning. However, please ensure itâs turned off when youâre not in the house.
5. Food:
Living in the jungle means sharing space with fast and active insects. To minimize their interest in your accommodations, please:
âą Keep all surfaces clean and free of food crumbs.
âą Store open bags or cans of food in the fridge or sealed bags.
âą Use the provided plastic containers for food storage.
6. Lights:
Once night falls, lights can attract insects. To keep them at bay, use lighting mindfully and ensure mosquito screens are closed.
7. Washer and Dryer:
We provide organic and biodegradable soap, as all wastewater is dispersed directly into the forest. Please do not wash or dry shoes, rigid bags, or items with buckles. During the dry season, water is especially precious, so please use it responsibly.
8. Smoking:
Our house is a smoke-free zone. Smoking is allowed only in the garden, and we kindly ask that you dispose of cigarette butts properly.
9. Shoes:
Please, if possible, keep your shoes for outdoor use only and, inside, stay barefoot or wear flip-flops or slippers.
10. Waste Disposal:
At the entrance of our white road, near the main gate, our community has created a locked area for waste disposal. A key to this lock will be included with your set of keys.
Before checking out, we kindly ask you to bring all your waste to this area (including bathroom waste) if possible, and do so before returning your keys. If youâre unable to take it there, please place all waste in the outside bin.
Important: No waste, especially organic, should be left in the house. Wildlife in the area is very curious, and we want to avoid any unwanted visitors.
Suggestions:
1. Water Conservation:
Although this is a rainforest, the dry season can cause our creeks, or quebradas, to run dry. Water is vital for all living beings, so let us do our part to conserve it whenever possible.
2. Wildlife:
Our jungle is alive with amazing wildlife. Please do not feed the animals. Respect their space, their habits, and their homeâjust as they respect yours.
We hope these guidelines help you have an unforgettable and harmonious experience in this beautiful natural setting. Thank you for your mindfulness and care!
