3 day holiday getaway, my husband and our 2 pups. A hike in nearby trails in the woods, enjoyed Lee downtown eateries and shops. Beautiful winter wonderland in the Berkshires. The guest rental was perfect!!! Warm, spacious, comfortable, perfect location.
The property was fine for our purposes of visiting family. If we needed to cook, it would have been quite difficult, though not totally impossible. The furniture was comfortable and the rooms, except the kitchen, had plenty of space.
We loved the apartment. The decoration is quite comfortable and full of personality, not like a neutral hotel room! I always loved being there!Even though it is on Main Street the nights were very quiet. An easy walk to nice restaurants and shops. All in all a very good experience!
The âDollyâ unit is a charming apartment with a private front porch looking out on the Main Street in Lee. The location could not have been any better. Plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance on Main Street. A very short drive to Tanglewood, downtown Lenox, and many other area attractions. The apartment itself is comfortable with plenty of room for two. It does not have a full kitchen (bar sink, small fridge and toaster oven) but is well equipped. Parking was convenient, right behind the house. Great place to stay.
Liked the 3 room suite, and 100 year old oak interior and the front porch, esp. as time went on. Walk to many restaurants, some only open in Fall after Wednesday. Some of the old doors fit like old doors, not unexpected, and felt like home away from home as time went on. Liked Fridge, coffee maker and small kitchen that we hardly used, but would have used more if longer stay.
This property is an excellent location for a visit to the Berkshires. Only minutes from Tanglewood and other local attractions, it's located in the town center within walking distance of a number of good restaurants. The unit itself is very clean and comfortable, and perfect for a quick getaway. It's also pet friendly, and our two pups enjoyed their stay as well. The owner, Jeff, was very responsive and the entire process was very smooth. We would definitely stay again when we return to the area.
Property was well-located, within easy walking distance of multiple restaurants and cafes! Very short drive to multiple hikes and to Tanglewood, in Lenox! Property was clean, lots of amenities like coffee, tea, etc provided. Guestbook was packed full of useful information. Would highly recommend to anyone!
It was a perfect location for us as we were out visiting our daughter who was working between Pittsfield and Stockbridge for the Berkshire Theater Group. The space was great. Bed super comfy. And the outside gardens around the yard were beautiful. We would definitely stay again. Cheers!
We loved!!! this place! Adorable and quaint in the perfect location in Lee, right on Main street, walkable to all. The place was appointed with rustic and charming decor, with beautiful hardwood floors and everything you could need for a weekend! The owners made the check-in simple and we just loved every minute here. We also had our pup with us and she was very comfortable! love the Garden in the back. Our most favorite part was sitting on the front porch with a glass of wine and enjoying the view! We will be back!
Host allowed for easy access. Small conveniently located apartment for 2-3 people. Quirky layout, but all necessities taken care of. A bit dated in decor, but comfortable. Good value.
Property is as advertised. Apartment opens to bedroom, with living room, small kitchenette and bathroom. further into the apartment. It was fine for a short stay. Apartment is in front of building so there is a traffic sound which starts early a.m.
I would happily rent again from this owner. The weekend started off with a horrific trip from our home on Cape Cod due to turnover day traffic and people evacuating in anticipation of Hurricane Henri. The owner was kind enough to find us a vacancy because I had booked the next weekend by mistake. Our Tanglewood concert was canceled because of the potential storm and Joeâs Diner was closed. The only pluses weâre a wonderful meal at the Peruvian restaurant up the street. breakfast at the deli and a very comfortable stay in a clean, quality accommodation.
The layout of the apartment is a bit unusual in that that you enter through the bedroom, but we have stayed here on multiple occasions and found it quite comfortable. The location is great. Lee is near both Jacob's Pillow and Tanglewood, with a number of good restaurants within walking distance.
As nice or even nicer than advertised. We were very pleased with everything, from cleanliness, ambience, furniture, decoration, good winter heating, to location, parking, and little things like stocked coffee, books to read, and a nice shower.
A note to future guests: there are childsafe outlets, of a newer style we had not encountered before. (Tamper Resistant Receptacles (TRRs), designed with spring-loaded receptacle cover plates that close off the receptacle openings. So: you must really apply pressure to force plugs into outlets!
I was born in Lee and have been involved with this family owned business for the last 40 years. Managing and restoring this beautiful 19th Century New England home has been my passion.
This beautiful 19th century home has been a family project for the last 40 years and the place where I was born and lived the early part of my life and now returning to carry on the family business in my retirement.
