Our stay felt like we were staying with family. Host is super nice. Property feels like we were living in the 1920s with modern amenities! 12 minutes to HITS. It was perfect. Thank you!!
We were a small group of horse riders from Canada spending 3 weeks in Williston as a home base for Winter training and showing.
The house is very spacious and can comfortably accommodate fairly large groups. Perfectly located in the center of Williston which is equal distance from Gainesville and Ocala, very convenient. The owner and host, Lee, was a delight to interact with. She is a caring host that wants her guests to have the best possible stay. She is very responsive and accommodating.
I highly recommend staying at this property, we will surely return in the future!
My family and I so enjoyed this wonderful Victorian home in Williston, Florida. Li, our hostess, had decorated the house beautifully for the Christmas season and it was warm and inviting!
When the coffee maker went on the blink, we had a replacement by the next morning!
I would highly recommend this home to anyone wanting a lovely home for a family gathering just 30 minutes away from Gainesville:)
Leeâs house was super cute! My family and I loved the old timey feeling of the town as well as the house. The house was clean and stocked with a few extra goodies. Loved being able to walk to dinner at the Ivy House Restaurant and explore a little piece of Williston.
Though, I enjoy the water immensely on the ocean or my lake home, my passion is horses. Whether itâs racing, trail rides or being at the equine therapeutic center my daughter has for helping children and adults emotionally and/or physically. I enjoy being a mother of 3 and grandmother of 8 children, ranging from the ages of 14 years old to 27 years old. Just became a great grandmother as of August 7. We all love to ride our horses and go fishing. I grew up in Boca Raton and moved to Gainesville to go to college. I am a massage therapist working in Gainesville & Williston. I am blessed to have the opportunity to go a Spirit Filled Church at the United Pentecostal Church of Gainesville and when in Williston, I attend the church of God, not too far from my Williston home.
I chose this neighborhood because my best friend and I got wonderful jobs when we were younger in our late 20âs, exercising race horses on the track, cleaning stalls and laughing all the time with the wonderful people in Williston. As we got older, we both decided we want to live in the Williston area mostly because of the people and small hometown feel. I have a primary home in Hawthorne on a lake and I like to share so I thought the Williston House would be good as it allows a person to feel like they are in a quaint bed and breakfast but allows you to have the freedom of having the home all to yourself for have a holiday event, graduation or wedding/reception. This home has so much history since being built in 1901. Also, within walking distance to most anywhere you need to go.
Large fenced in yard, peaceful neighborhood, nice neighbors and next to Library. Perfect location to walk to stores, restaurants, gym, hair salon, grocery store, medical, Dentist, Antiques & gift shops. Easy drive to Devil's Den Springs, Blue Grotto, Elephant Farm, 100-acre rock quarry. A little longer drive to Cedar Key water sports, Ocala Horse sports and Gainesville Gator Sports.
