We stayed for 4 nights, and this house worked great for us! The host was very responsive and helpful when I asked for recommendations and had questions. The location is close enough to downtown that we didn't have to worry about driving far to sightsee but far away enough that traffic wasn't an issue. The driveway is pretty steep, but that's almost to be expected in this town! I just made my husband start out driving so he had to worry about pulling out of it haha! The kids loved the pool table and the downstairs area. The kitchen table was large enough for us (6 people) to enjoy dinner and play games without feeling cramped. We cooked dinner on 3 of our nights and it was easy to do with their kitchen supplies. My family would definitely stay here again!
This is an excellent property for business and leisure. We have stayed here several times and have not had a problem. The host is very nice and professional. She saved some items for us that were left. Great experience.
I loved the property. I liked everything from the advertisement. I was truly excited about staying at this location and had high expectations. I paid all requested fees in a timely manner. I assured the owner that I would take good care of the property. There was no electricity in the property upon my arrival at 6 pm although I had been texted at 5 pm that it may not be on when I got there. I was not given a reasonable time period as to when I could expect the power to be on. There were no updates. I made a phone call at 8:00 p.m. and got voicemail. I decided to go to a hotel overnight at a cost of 147.40. I was not reimbursed nor was I offered a conciliatory gesture for my time and trouble. I talked to the owners around 9:00 p.m. and I expressed my displeasure about having to get a hotel. I didn't go to the property again until the next day when the power was on at 7:00 a.m. I had other issues with the house, and I sent pictures and videos of the problems. Though the house is beautiful I wouldn't stay there again because of poor owner response. I would need more than 1500 characters to accurately describe the issues I had with this property. There was no local support, as the owners lived out of state. I left the property on time on July 6th and made every effort to leave the property presentable. The owners did not want to compromise and said there was nothing to talk about. I was very disappointed.
Great house minutes from downtown Vicksburg. Plenty of great amenities: pool table, kitchen, quiet setting. We just wished we could have used the deck. (the owners will replace it in the near future).
