The apartment was very cozy. Aimee was a great hostess. She introduced herself the first night. It was really nice to have all of the amenities we had. Her instructions were easy to follow on how everything worked.
We stayed at Aimee's property on a Mother's Day visit to NY to see our son who also lives in Astoria. The apartment is very clean and well maintained. There was a good memory foam mattress. It has a very well equipped kitchen for those who wish to cook. It was a basement apartment but still had a lot of natural light. I think there were 6 windows for the apartment. The area is full of restaurants within a few blocks. It is also very convenient to both the Broadway and the Steinway subway stops. In 10 minutes you're in Manhattan. It's in a safe, residential neighborhood. No issues coming home late at night. The entrance to the apartment was hidden down some steps. The TV was a little quirky as it was Hulu based but we finally kinda figured it out. All in all a very nice stay.
Could not have been happier with the place. Came down for a few concerts at MSG and did not feel like doing the whole manhattan hotel thing. This was a perfect alternative. Quiet comfy and lots within walking distance. Will try to use this place every time I come back.
The apartment was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was delightful - fully stocked with absolutely every piece of equipment needed to cook meals. The heated towel rack was a fantastic touch. The apartment was surprisingly quiet for such a busy city. We were extremely comfortable there hanging out, playing games, watching TV and it was super convenient to subways for sight seeing. This is always my first choice property when I'm visiting NYC.

I am the owner of this quaint house in the lovely and vibrant neighborhood of Astoria, Queens. I renovated and decorated this apartment myself with the family traveler in mind. I am an amateur actress and I love to travel. I've rented apartments on my travels so I have a good feel for what is needed.
Besides its closeness to Manhattan, Astoria has everything you need. You can find just about any cuisine within easy walking distance. And great shopping on Broadway, 30th Avenue and Steinway Street, all within walking distance. A five minute walk will get you to the train that will have you at Bloomingdale's in 5 minutes, Times Square in 15 minutes.
