This was the first time that we used a VRBO site. We were very pleased with the results. Mark was an excellent host. He responded to our inquiries very rapidly. Very clean and well equipped lodging. If we ever came back to the Tallagada area, we would certainly stay here again.

Beautiful cottage, very clean, the host was readily available and communicated often to ensure we had everything we needed! The property was great, very peaceful and relaxing. Highly recommend!

I was pleasantly surprised with our stay. The house was very clean. The area was peaceful and quiet which was welcome after being at the race track all day.

Everything on this property was so clean and fresh. The beds we comfortable and there was plenty of room to leave your things. The host was so friendly and everything was properly stocked. I would highly recommend this cabin it could not have been more quiet and lovely. Thanks for letting our stay feel so pleasant. Would stay again if in the area.

We run a camp at shocco springs nearby and needed some additional housing for our band. This was the perfect location and was great for our group. Everything was very clean and had everything you could need. Will definitely be back next year.

Shady Oaks was wonderful. It was such a cute place! It was very welcoming, clean and comfortable. The fresh flowers on the breakfast table were a beautiful touch. The hosts gave us the perfect “southern hospitality” treatment. Always gave a quick response to any email or text. After long noisy days in the heat and humidity it was a peaceful place to return to and unwind. We were treated to freshly picked blueberries by our hosts, such an unexpected bonus! We viewed a pair of cardinals each morning as we enjoyed breakfast and enjoyed the dance of fireflies each evening. We definitely will be returning!!

Talladega Race Weekend

We had a wonderful weekend at Shady Oaks! The house was exactly as described and has all the conveniences of home. The owners live close by and are lovely, even going above and beyond and bringing us delicious homemade baked goods. The house was extremely comfortable for our family of 4 and we will definitely stay again if we find ourselves in the Talladega area!

Peaceful and Tranquil

If you are looking for a place to clear your mind and be one with nature. This is your place. No busy streets, no loud noises, no city buses and no pollution. Sit outside and enjoy ample sunshine, listening to nature. I enjoyed my stay. The cottage was absolutely beautiful, plenty of natural light.

Unexpected gem

We were in town for a family reunion and were really, pleasantly surprised by this quaint little cottage. Its probably the cleanest rental we've ever stayed in across 5 states, super charming, and overall a quiet property. The property managers made themselves readily available to use and had an adorable welcoming committee made up of 2 poochies that our kids loved. Will definitely look them up again if needed!

The place was so clean and neatly organized!! The host Mark was so nice and helpful to our needs. It was perfect for our stay for the 8u baseball World Series games. We highly recommend staying here and we will stay again if we are ever in the area and need a place to stay.
