Perfect cabin for our family of 4 with everything we needed for a comfy stay. Super clean and nice. A cool mixture of the old and the new! We enjoyed exploring the woods and hiking around the lake as well. Hosts were super responsive and friendly.
Beautiful cabin near DeGray lake. Perfect location for lake or park activities as well as being close to town if needed. Home was perfect for our family event. The host Tim was exceptional with both communication and having the home well equipped. Safe and comfortable setting. Highly recommend, would certainly choose again. Love the wrap around porch.
We found this gem of a cabin while searching for a place to stay in order to break up our road trip home. The property is beautiful along with it being very tranquil and relaxing. We even saw deer from the porch one morning. The cabin had all new appliances including a gas grill. It was spacious enough for two couples and the hosts are very quick with their responses. I would highly recommend this beautiful cabin.
My wife and I enjoy traveling and reading. Betty especially enjoys her dogs(Gus and Jax at the moment) and I enjoy birding, history and duplicate bridge. The love of history is a big part of why we live in a log home from four salvaged 1830-1850 log buildings that were in disrepair. We also saved Rosedale Barn(1860) and relocated it on our property. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
We purchased our 35 acre property 28 years ago and started working on it. First we built a 9 acre lake, then built our log house. We now have 5 building on our property from old log structures that were not wanted or in disrepair. We have added hiking trails around the lake. While living in the country, we are 10 minutes from town. We think we have the best of both worlds.
We saved this 1850 log house and built what we are now starting to rent with the idea that we might move into it when we get older. So the ramp, attached carport, single story, walk-in showers, and other features are meant to make our life easier when we get older. We hope people can enjoy it until we need to use it some day.
