Sur le 3ème trou du club de la romana dans la station de la casa de campo, cette belle maison dispose de 4 chambres chacune avec sa propre salle de bain complète. Il y a 2 chambres supplémentaires pour le personnel de service. La maison comprend une salle de cinéma privée et un chariot de golf de 6 passagers.

Casa de campo, avec 90 trous de jeu, tous créés par le célèbre designer de cours Pete Dye, est la destination de golf inégalée de la République dominicaine et en fait toute la Caraïbe. Très bons restaurants à proximité et des boutiques très exclusives.

Consistamment classé [par la revue de golf] comme le parcours de golf n ° 1 dans les Caraïbes et l'un des 50 meilleurs parcours de golf du monde, le Dente de Perro classique de Pete Dye, avec 7 trous bordant la mer des Caraïbes, attire le Meilleurs golfeurs professionnels et amateurs au monde.

Ouvert en 1971 en tant que refuge rural en bord de mer, Casa de Campo est aujourd'hui une destination de golf de classe mondiale, a couronné la première station de golf au monde pour les 5 dernières années consécutives aux prix mondiaux du monde!

Le Resort Casa de Campo dispose d'un total de 4 cours Rete Dye conçus; Les Teeth of the Dog, le Dye Fore (avec 27 trous), Links, et le parcours La Romana Country Club (avec 27 trous).

Altos de Chavon, à 15 minutes de la maison, est une merveille architecturale, une réplique du 16ème siècle d'un village méditerranéen perché au-dessus de la rivière Chavón. Le village a été conçu par l'architecte dominicain José Antonio Caro et créé par le maître designer et cinéaste italien Roberto Coppa. Les artisans dominicains fabriquaient à la main les chemins de pierre, les ferronneries décoratives, les meubles et les bâtiments enchanteresses, relançant les métiers méconnus et la sculpture sur pierre. Sous la direction de Coppa, chaque pierre a été découpée à la main, chaque cadre de porte en bois a été fabriqué à la main et chaque détail en fer forgé a forgé à la main. Le village a été inauguré en 1982 avec le concert de Frank Sinatra à l'amphithéâtre.

Aujourd'hui, ce village étonnant est le site de nombreux restaurants raffinés, boutiques, musées et l'école de design Altos de Chavon affiliée à Parson's School of Design à New York.

The weather was ideal and the staff is lovely. Carolina was very accommodating and her food was very good. They only speak Spanish but we communicated well using google translate. We bought groceries at the store close to the marina and ate several meals at home. The communication with the house manager Julio was also great prior to arriving and he was super helpful. We enjoyed the outdoor space and pool the most and the view of the 3rd green was fabulous. Be aware that the jacuzzi is not a hot tub but still nice to hop into when it is warm out. The only complaint we had is that the theatre room has a musty smell but we spent most of our time outdoors, so it wasn't a problem for us.

Family Vacation

The villa and the resort was amazing and beautiful. It had 8 beds which was much more than we neended so we felt like we were in luxury the entire time. The staff was more than amazing and did everything they could to keep the luxury feeling going. They made us the most amazing Dominican breakfast's and lunch's you could imagine. We will be back for sure!

From the get-go, Ray and his staff did everything to put me at ease. Excellent at responding the emails from a "newbie" in the rental property market, I just cannot say enough of how positive the whole experience was. Edward, his right hand man in the DR, sent me detailed explanations with pictures for my check in process!!!!! Then the place! and the staff!!! Even more beautiful than the pictures if that is possible. An amazing experience that I highly recommend to everyone. We truly felt like royalty!

We had a good time, the house has everything you need for a weekend but there are few things that’s the owner has to work on. Some of the rooms has a damp smell including the cinema that was a very strong smell. The staff is not very kind, you have to guide them all the time and one of them doesn’t have a happy face 😣, you have requested basic things and they don’t show you how to operate basic stuff like adjusting air conditioning, bbq gas, the heater of the Jacuzzi when you check in. Also the golf cart on the picture is not available.

An amazing vacation!

This amazing villa has it all- beautiful, spacious rooms with modern amenities - pictures don’t do it justice. The home has a lovely outdoor lanai and pool area with very comfortable chairs and a beautiful view of the golf course. The home is great for a large family or for a group of friends because everyone has space to spread indoors and out. The master bedroom and bath, complete with a private jacuzzi area and outdoor shower, is amazing. Our family loved relaxing in the movie theater, which is well appointed with reclining theater chairs. We enjoyed being in the house as much as we enjoyed the gorgeous areas surrounding us. The house is equal distance to the marina for restaurants and grocery shopping, from the beautiful Mintas Beach, and from the gorgeous views at Altos de Chavon. The La Romana Country Club is a short walk from the house and we used the fitness center and took classes for a modest daily fee. We can not say enough, however, about the warm, accomplished, and accommodating staff members at the house. Edward, Isolina, Iris, and M. Prepared delicious meals, kept the home immaculate during our stay, and anticipated our needs extremely well. Despite our lack of Spanish we were able to communicate without problem. Edward, the house manager, keeps the house in working order, and the home owner was exceptionally responsive during our stay. When there was a small glitch with our golf cart, they worked quickly to replace it during a very busy week on the island. We are hooked on the DR, Casa de Campo, and 16 Almendros, and we can’t wait to return!

Lovely property but a couple of issues

This home is lovely and the resort is pristine. The private beach is outstanding, with lounge chairs, towels, food trucks, and a small shopping area. The resort has world class golf courses, tennis, pickleball, a marina, a grocery store, and a number of excellent restaurants. However, you should know that you must pay a resort fee of $25 per person per day over and above your VRBO fee. We were told that we would not have to pay this fee, but when we gave our confirmation number to registration, we were still required to pay it (over $1200 for 7 adults). It was a very bad beginning to our stay, especially when the property manager would do nothing to make it right, and complained that we told registration we had rented the unit on VRBO since apparently the way he was avoiding the resort fee was to tell them we were "friends or family." The next day the owner did take care of reimbursing us. We picked this unit because when we booked, the listing said it had a hot tub. The rental has two jacuzzis, but the heater does not work and my understanding is that they do not plan on fixing it. I would recommend that the owner create a manual that tells the renter what is available in the resort. As it was, we were discovering things that were available in the resort the last two days we were there, and our experience would have been much better with a detailed manual. I did not think the Casa de Campo website was well laid out for learning what was available through it.

Beautiful house, great location

This house has everything you need right off the La Romana Country Club golf course. A nice pool with a heated jacuzzi, all the rooms have everything you need including a private bathroom, a movie theater in the basement for the kids. And the house staff are wonderful!

Our return to Almendros 16

Our family of five recently returned from our second stayed at Almendros 16. We did not think it was possible to improve our first vacation there from two years ago, but the staff at Almendros 16, proved us wrong & our second vacation was simply amazing. The villa is meticulously cared for & maintained by the staff of Isolina, Jaime & Margarita. As last time, Isolina’s cooking was superb every single time. Jaime is a caring & competent Manager who will do all necessary to ensure a wonderful vacation. Margarita is Isolina’s right hand & her dedication & joyful smile brighten our days. Our communication with the owner, Ray, has always been top notch. We appreciated & noticed many improvements to the villa since our last vacation. We returned three days ago, but the process of planning our third vacation at Almendros has already begun.

Wonderful all around

Can't really say enough nice things about the visit. Had family of six with four young children, and there was more room and beds than we could possibly use. The kids put the pool through its paces daily, so I additionally appreciate that it was cleaned each morning of our stay. Casa de Campo is a fantastic property, the beach, marina, and restaurants are all top notch, the market super convenient. Lastly and most importantly Jaime and his staff were unbelievably friendly and helpful. Jaime coordinated events that were significantly better and less expensive than booking through the resort, and his friend Marcelo, who drove us for every event including the airport, was safe, friendly, and always waiting for us on the other side of whatever. First time to DR, could not imagine staying anywhere else considering the high caliber of all elements. Special thanks mi amigo Jaime!

2 families vacation

We enjoyed our time at this house a lot. It's got everything you need to spend your vacation. It's been 8 of us and we had plenty of space to spread out. Everything is very clean and well maintained. Staff made our vacation excellent and was very helpful. Sometimes we made specific requests for specific dishes like sancocho and a goat stew and both turned out soooo good. We also made more generic requests like some fish or some chicken and all was very yummy too. Actually we liked Isolina’s cooking more that resort’s restaurants. Jaime was able to get us a masseuse in the house which is way better bargain than at the resort. And took care of our taxi and other requests. Ray was very accommodating with our requests as well and we always felt very welcome. The movie room was super cool and was tremendously enjoyed by our kids. Property is surrounded by a bunch of mango trees and we enjoyed fresh mango from those trees every morning for breakfast. The resort itself was super empty which we enjoyed tremendously. It was super clean and huge. The beach was very well maintained and empty again so we never felt crowded. They don’t allow vendors on the beach like in Jamaica or Mexico. We felt very safe with all the security provided by the resort. Very classy. We tried majority of restaurants and they were all average. Like I said above, Isolina’s cooking was superior so I would recommend to stay in and eat at home.

Good stay despite several issues

3 of us stayed at this villa for 3 nights on a golf trip. Overall, we enjoyed our stay despite several issues. The staff was very friendly and attentive. They kept the villa clean, prepared breakfasts and one lunch for us. The food was very good. Unfortunately, we had several issues. The first and most pressing issue was the lack of hot water. Apparently, the hot water heater malfunctioned and could not be repaired. We had cold showers for 3 days. Secondly, we had issues with the home theater. One of the main reasons we booked this villa was to watch the NCAA tournament on the big screen in the home theater. There was a problem with the internet provider which prevented us from watching the basketball games in the home theater. Finally, the hot tub next to the master was full of leaves and had cloudy water on check in. I relayed our issues to the owner. The hot tub was fixed the next day. The issues with the hot water and the home theater were not fixed during our stay. I asked the owner for a refund of one night's stay and he agreed. Given the issues we experienced, I believe that was an amicable resolution. The owner contacted me following our stay and I truly believe that he will do the right thing. The issues with the home theater and hot water heater are being addressed. I understand that things can go wrong. What matters most is how they are handled. Mr Reyes went out of his way to wire me the refund and was genuinely concerned by our issues. Things can go wrong, but what is most important is how they are handled. I believe that Mr. Reyes handled things very well. If not for the issues we had, I would have given the villa a 5 star rating.

Amazing!

Beautiful property! What really made our stay was Jamie. He was thoughtful, attentive and friendly. He was never overbearing but perfectly involved. The meals were fabulous and we couldn't stop eating. Highly recommended!

We had such a wonderful experience! The staff was friendly, caring, and did an excellent job!

The house was spacious, clean, and exactly what we needed. It included the best massage chair, pool with heated jacuzzi, game tables, and movie theatre with a plethora of movies. The staff privided delicious breakfast and lunch daily. Jaime, the butler, and the housekeeper and cook were at our beck and call. Jaime resolved trips from and to the airport, extra golf carts (house comes with a 6 seater), and grocery shopping. He even learned to make Cuban coffe with espumita! Their service was greatly appreciated making us feel like royalty. Thank you for a great experience!

Great property and even better staff

Outstanding stay in Casa de Campo. Space was plentiful and we had an amazing time. Jamie and the staff literally took care of everything we needed. He was attentive and there for us. Highly recommended.

Excelente la casa y el encargado de la misma

Buenos días, los dias que pasamos en la casa fueron muy especiales, Jaime muy servicial y atento en todo momento, las señoras de igual manera. La casa presenta algunos detalles de arreglos, pero en general fue un fin de semana muy bueno y es una casa muy acogedora. Gracias
