Nothing really good to say other than views were great.
So where to start, the day we checked into the room it smelled so bad of sewage. Immediately we called the front desk asking for someone to come check it out and were told they would send someone right up. After several hours and no one showing up I called a second time, this time I was told that the maintenance crew was gone for the day and it would be taken care of first thing in the morning. (9:00am). We slept in some of our friends room who were there at the same hotel. I asked for batteries as all of the remotes for tv, fan were all dead. Again was told I had to wait till 9:00 am. Well that time came and went the next day and still nothing. After contacting the owner and several calls to the front desk, I finally went down to the desk and told them it was unacceptable, they said go wait in the room and someone will be right up. AWSOME now I’m spending my vacation waiting in the room for someone I show up, they never showed. By this point the other roommates all complained at the desk, finally someone came up and fixed the drains by spraying glade downy them.(you can imagine how long that lasted) Although it still smelled it was better than nothing. The lamps in the small room didn’t work, one was completely broken and the other wouldn’t turn on, dead bulb maybe? I asked for that to get fixed as well, took two days. The patio with the bbq (the main reason we rented this unit) was completely filthy, being proactive I asked the first day we got here to have someone or for them to let me hose it off and clean it. Several calls to the office and the owner of the unit and finally it was cleaned at 4pm on the last night we were here. There are no beach towels in the unit so regardless of what you are told, there are none in the room or at the hotel, So bring your own!!! There are no screens on any of the doors so in order to hear the ocean and get the fresh air without letting flies in your room you have to sit on the patio. I could go on and on about the issues we had in the room and the lack of anyone caring or fixing anything in a timely manor but I doubt it would do any good. We paid a pretty penny to have this room for the long weekend and it was a shame everything we had to deal with. There seems to be a conflict between owner and hotel as every time we asked for something to get done it was a two day process to have it happen.
The owner says contact the desk and the desk blows you off entirely. Ridiculous.
The views are priceless, however.......
We came here for a girls weekend getaway and we were super excited when we booked this unit! The pictures on vrbo are better than what you get in person. The only thing we all agreed on was that the views from both balconies were AMAZING! As for the actual unit.... the bedding needs replaced in both rooms, the cushions outside on the massive patio all needs to replaced (all of the cushions have rips/tears in the fabric) we did NOT even use them. We did NOT use the grill because there was so much bird poop droppings on the counter tops and the grill itself-(as if no one cleaned them before we rented the unit). The furniture in all of the rooms needs to be updated and the kitchen remodeled. Knobs were missing from some of the cabinets and they were OLD, the fridge door did NOT shut well and the freezer did NOT stay cold. The knob to control the fridge temperature was missing and the fridge was just cool not cold so you could just imagine how our food/drinks were. The master bathroom did NOT have any HOT water- just warm. It was very disappointing but we made the best of it.
Not The Best Experience
We booked this condominium for two couples for 4 nights. Upon getting in the unit, it was discovered that this unit was not a two queen bedroom unit (as stated in the VRBO/Home Away overview), but a queen and a full bedroom. Basically ruined the trip for the other couple we were with. I contacted the owner and he indicated he was " sorry for the miscommunication and that there was a queen air mattress to use". Then the microwave did not work, leaking shower pipes, no/little hot water in master bathroom shower, etc.
The owner seemed like a nice enough person via email, but maybe did not understand what expectations people should have. This could be an outstanding unit, if these issues are addressed.
You may want to verify the bedrooms and these other items are fixed and best of luck.
