It was very clean and nice. Loved that their was a fenced in yard for our dogs to run around without the concern of them running to the lake to swim without us.

The cabin was extremely cozy and we really appreciated the hot tub! If you’re looking for your perfect retreat in the woods for peace & quiet - this is it. Like the listing mentions, it is in a pretty remote location so do be prepared for that, but it’s why it’s the perfect location for your peaceful get away!

My family and I absolutely loved staying in this cabin. The best part was drinking our morning coffee outside and taking in the scenery. We also took the short walk down to the water and spent a few hours going on an adventure and snapping gorgeous pictures. They have already asked if we were going to book this cabin again.

Me, my wife, and son along with our two dogs had a great time…location and house was awesome …close to eureka springs & Bentonville and lots of hiking and mountain biking close by…super short walk to lake from house…my Golden enjoyed swimming in The lake and we loved the paddle boards !

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The house was very nice, with comfortable beds and seating. My son and I enjoyed ping pong battles each night. The host was always prompt with communication. The lake itself was calm and the temp was perfect! The reasons I docked it a star have to do with the location, and not the property itself or the host. It’s a dodgy drive in on a very rough, damaged road. Anyone in a car could be in trouble, and it takes a good 20 minutes just to get to the main road. The lake access from the house is also the public access road, so we were constantly navigating cars and people to get to the lake. I got into one argument with someone who was blocking the house access despite the No Parking signs. That access road was also very poorly kept, and we had to be very careful not to twist an ankle. Everybody slipped at least once. This may seem like nit picking, and it sort of is, buts it’s info I would have appreciated before we booked our stay. Hope it helps the next person. Beautiful home, helpful hosts, but for us, just a tick below 5 stars.

Perfect getaway!

Comfortable spaces and recreation activities galore! We had a lovely time at The Dawg House. They covered any amenity we could want or need to get out of the city and enjoy the beautiful surroundings while also keeping teenagers entertained. We absolutely loved it!

Dog Friendly!!

The view was amazing. The house is more beautiful than the pictures even show. And the best part was that we were able to bring our puppy that we just rescued from Kentucky, and he was made to feel at home. I was really uncertain about bringing him, but we could not have chosen a better place. Definitely recommend!!

Hidden Gem

It’s a little off the beaten path but it’s worth it. The house was very clean and well stocked. It’s probably the most comfortable bed that I have had at the many rentals we have stayed at over the years. Thanks for sharing your lovely home with us!

My husband and I celebrated our 48th wedding anniversary in this property. We brought our dog of course! This was a most pleasant experience. When first there I noticed it had a generator. That gave me assurance that if storms took out power we wouldn't be in the dark. Being our age it took away some worry.The first thing our ball obsessed dog smelled was a ball under the couch. He was so happy! There was also a toy for him there. The deck was great for throwing the ball and he could get great exercise running down to get it. We can only play ball for so long, so we would put the ball up for awhile. Over the next several days when we put the ball up, he would go explore the fenced yard and came up with four more balls. He was in seventh heaven! The other thing I truly loved was the black out curtains. It helped me sleep a little later. Not to mention the mini split in the bedroom helped me stay cool.Lastly, the location. I worried a bit about the gravel roads but, we had no problems. It was such a scenic drive! I wouldn't want to drive it the first time in the dark. But, totally cool after you get use to it. The other great thing about the location was access to the water. We had a short walk to the lake. Got to spend time there swimming and playing ball with the dog of course.I highly recommend this dawg house! Thanks for sharing your lovely lake house with us!
