À True North Cabin Rentals, nous avons plusieurs cabines ainsi que de belles vues sur le lac depuis la propriété. La cabine 1 est une cabine de bain de deux chambres à coucher à louer au magnifique lac Higgins pouvant accueillir 6 personnes. Inclus, vous trouverez un lit double, un canapé-lit, TV / DVD, cafetière, grille-pain, vaisselle, verrerie, couverts, casseroles et poêles, serviettes et tout ce dont vous aurez besoin pour vos vacances d'été remplies de plaisir. foyer, barbecue, hamac et chaussures pour chevaux. Une belle plage de sable peu profonde et un quai public à quelques pas de la cabine. Épicerie et le bar du dollar en argent à un pâté de maisons de la rue. La cabine est située au 2302 Treasure Blvd. Higgins Lake MI. Des pontons, des bateaux de pêche et de ski, des jet-skis, des planches à pagaie, des kayaks, des VTT, des scooters et des UTV sont disponibles à un prix réduit pour tous les locataires via GO FAST Rentals.

Great place to stay

The cabins were very clean, bug free and had everything we needed to have a great family vacation. I will definitely be booking here again! The owners were very prompt if we needed something and we all had a great stay!

winter weekend away

My husband and I wanted to have a weekend away for ice fishing. Cabin is in a great location close to the lake. Beds are very comfortable and there's a nice wood stove (gas) to keep the cabin warm. We weren't able to fish on Higgins due to ice not as thick as we'd hoped but we were able to fish on Houghton Lake. Fish we caught too small to keep. We had lunch/dinner at the Cut River Grille at Higgins Lake and the Beechwood Cafe in Roscommon. Highly recommend! Also went to Fred's in Roscommon for bowling and to the Silver Dollar Inn in Higgins Lake. Hope to stay again!

Great family vacation!

We had a great time! Cabin was close to the lake and easy to walk to even with little kids. Host was easy to communicate with and responded quickly. Cabin had everything we needed. We are looking to book again next summer.

Perfect for a Small Family Trip

The cabin was very cozy and just what we needed. The hot and cold in the kitchen were switched but the owner gave us a heads up and was very attentive to anything we needed. Definitely loved this stay and will come back in the future.

Great place, phenomenal location.

We stayed at cottage 1 and had other family members stay at cottage 2. Both places are amazingly clean, very close to the water and Jeremey was always so responsive. We loved the location so much, we are already looking to book next year.

Nice location with easy waterfront access.

Perfect size for a small group of friends to ice fish Higgins. Ended up leaving a day early, not because the cabin wasn’t terrific, but the fishing on Higgins was really slow. So we went to a different lake. Might look to renting this location in the summer with the family.

The perfect place for a family gathering

We used 5 of Jeremey’s Higgins Lake cabins and They exceeded our expectations! They are clean, updated and had everything we needed for our family weekend stay. The short stroll to the lake was such a bonus. We watched a gorgeous sunrise. All together the communication with him was prompt and he was happy to answer any & all questions through the process. Thanks for an amazing stay Jeremey! We are excited to come back for sure!!!

Simple cabin close to the lake

Four adults (two couples) stayed here for three nights during our larger family reunion. Proximity to Higgins Lake (one block away) and the overall quiet nature and walkability of this neighborhood was a huge plus. The cabin itself is simple but mostly sufficient with a pretty solid array of kitchen tools, pans, and pots. The furniture, including beds, is comfortable. Loved having access to a grill, hammock, and outdoor seating. One of the downsides was that the doors to the bedrooms were sliding doors that aren’t well installed. One is crooked and doesn’t even fully cover the door opening. This made it challenging to keep our dogs contained at times, but wasn’t a big deal otherwise.

Weekend with Mom

Spent 3 nights at Cabin 1 with my mom, sister, and cousin for a girls trip and we had a total blast!! I loved the neighborhood, mostly everyone was friendly and quick to say hello as they walked/rode by. The beach at the state park was awesome, we went Friday and Saturday. The property owner/manager is on site a lot, which I haven’t experienced before so it was a bit of a surprise to have someone outside the bathroom windows planting flowers while I was on the toilet… lol! But still a great trip nonetheless!

Nice stay!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay. Convenient location to the public lake access, at the end of the street. The north side of the lake is much quieter than the south side. We enjoyed both north and south Higgins lake state park. The South Park was much nicer with better beaches. I recommend taking a drive to grayling and check out dead bear brewery and paddle hard brewery if you’re looking for a night out. The cabin was very clean. The bed and pillows weren’t extremely comfortable but we made due. Nice yard, equipped with horse shoes, bonfire pit, picnic table and a hammock! Jeremy was very responsive when we needed to contact him.

Higgins lake property

The cabin was just right for two people. It had two nice bedrooms but only one bathroom with a very small shower. There was no broom with which to sweep the floor and at a lake property, that is important. Some of the electrical outlets (behind the couch) were not secure to the wall. This could be a fire hazard. A shelf in the small bathroom would be very useful for placing glasses or rings, etc when washing up. Otherwise, very, very nice.

North Higgins Lake

We liked the area. It was easy to find and check in. We were not happy with the rental. It smelled like air fresheners, and I felt like they were trying to cover something up. The air fresheners are also not agreeable with allergies. Walking through the cabin was a little difficult because of the angle of the floor. It went up and down. The window screens did not fit the windows so we were afraid to open the windows to let in cool air. The water smelled like sulfur. The shower hot and cold faucets were on opposite sides i.e.: Hot was cold. Cold was hot. It would have been nice to have curtains on the side entry door, the bathroom, and bedrooms. I couldn’t wait to get out of there mainly because of the air freshener smells. We would not stay there again.

Borderline rustic

Not exactly what we were looking for. Thought there was a sandy beach steps from the cabin. Drove 1.5 miles to find a sandy beach to relax with the dogs. (Not bad) but had to walk a long path with two dogs with arms full! Was not prepared for this! :) Cabin was pretty clean but shower extremely small barely enough room for a skinny guy! The bedroom near the bathroom had a horrible musty moldie smell. No way would I sleep in that room. Air condition unit horribly loud! So there you are! Complete honesty. Mother of owner sweet lady. Had a good time regardless, description of title , borderline rustic applies. Thank you!

Okay, has some things you should know

Pros: close to lake, decent outdoor space with grill, fire pit etc. House was clean. Cons/Things you should know before booking: 1. Nasty Smell: it has a very musty smell. This is especially bad if windows are closed and air conditioning is on. They are attempting to address this with a lot of air fresheners, which really only add to the problem. 2.The shower: Tiny, micro, mini shower. Is virtually impossible to shave your legs. The water, hot and cold are mixed up and do not work well in the shower. It took forever to figure out how to get the water the right temperature and it’s hard not to either freeze yourself or burn yourself when you’re getting out and trying to turn the water off. 3. Uncomfortable furniture: The chair couch and the beds are not comfortable. Everything is very basic and bare minimum. 4. Bedroom Doors: Both bedrooms have barn doors that don’t close all the way, so if you’re a light sleeper, want kids to go to bed earlier then the adults it’s not ideal. Overall, not terrible, but these are the things that would keep us from booking again.

Good…but you should know a few things

Stayed In cottage 1… start with the good: it was quant, clean and close to the lake! The cottage had everything you needed to cook. Bad: When you read it has AC you typically think that means the entire house has AC, unfortunately this house had a single stand alone small ac unit that was in the living room. If you were staying in the back room there was no way you were going to feel the ac. To make matters worse the house has legitimate only 5 outlets so good luck plugging a fan to help cool the house down. Speaking of outlets we had to use a barstool to sit the toaster on to get it to reach one of the 5 outlets. The shower is the tightest shower you’ll ever stand in. To make matters worse it’s like a puzzle trying to figure out which is hot and cold, and how to turn the shower off without burning yourself. Being in Roscommon the cell phone service was spotty at best. Which made having internet that much more important. Unfortunately this cottage advertises internet, but it does not work at all! You may get a bar of WiFi for 30 seconds, but it disappears. Fairly confident the owner is trying to Piggy back of another cottage, but it is not working! The cottage was extremely clean, just unfortunately that the listing did not match at all what you walk into.
