The Gumball Bungalow Est. 1886 is the original carriage house to The Woodbridge Manor (Est. 1876).
Today it is a lovingly restored two-bedroom home where history and creativity meet. The Bungalow carries the character of another era while embracing inspiring modern design and comforts.
Located in Woodbridge Proper, just 20 miles away from NYC and the Jersey Shore. The Gumball Bungalow offers accessibility while maintaining a sense of historic neighborhood charm. History never felt better!
Your space spans approximately 1,800sqft allowing you to spread out and settle in comfortability. It features two bedrooms, a living room, full kitchen, bathroom, sun room, mud room, and dedicated reading and gaming nooks. The kitchen features full-size appliances and dining service for eight, making it easy to cook, gather, and settle into everyday living.
Throughout the home youâll find playful details that reflect the spirit of The Gumball Bungalow, including a Pac-Man arcade, ring toss, and darts. A private gaming nook offers access to over 5,000 games ranging from Atari to PlayStation, while the nearby reading nook overlooks the staircase for a quiet place to unwind.
At the end of the day, retreat to the calming bedrooms and rest on a Green Tea memory foam mattress meant to drift you off to REM sleep.

What can I say? This really isnât about me. Iâm simply the person holding the keys to these magnificent pieces of history. The Woodbridge Manor and The Gumball Bungalow have proven their character and charm long before I arrived and will continue to do so long after Iâm gone.
I am merely the current custodian, restoring it, preserving it, and sharing it with others. My hope is that every guest feels welcome and leaves feeling like they've discovered something special.

Secluded in the city! Come enjoy a small slice of the country in the middle of the hustle. Our land is often visited by gophers, flying squirrels, cottontail rabbits, cardinals, blue jays, and the carrot loving "Daisy the deer" during winter months.

This is one of New Jerseyâs most historic towns. There's a lot to explore locally when time allows. The first anti-slavery talks were held up the block at the âOld White Churchâ and George Washington himself galloped down these roads on horseback. Explore local bike trails, historical sites, and nearby shops and restaurants. Grocery stores, transit hubs, hospitals and essential services are all conveniently accessible, making the area ideal for longer stays.
