Wind Drift 501E presents an inviting Gulf-front retreat in Orange Beach, Alabama, offering the perfect setting for your well-deserved vacation. This beautiful 3-bedroom, 3-bath condo promises stunning views and comfortable accommodations for you and your guests to enjoy.

Located on the 5th floor of the East Tower, this condo showcases picturesque views of the Gulf from its open floor plan living area. The Primary suite includes a private bath, flat-screen TV, and balcony access where you can savor the fresh breeze and panoramic coastal views. The second bedroom also features a Queen bed with its own private bath, while the third bedroom offers two Twin beds, ideal for additional guests or family members. Flat-screen TVs in the living room and bedrooms provide entertainment for all, while free wireless internet keeps you connected.

The fully equipped kitchen makes it easy to prepare meals and includes a wet bar for mixing up refreshing beverages. A full-sized washer and dryer add convenience to your stay, keeping your beachwear clean and ready for the next day’s adventures.

Wind Drift is the perfect destination for both relaxation and recreation. The property offers two outdoor pools, three tennis courts, a boat dock for easy water access, and a fishing pier for those who enjoy casting a line. With deeded beach access just across the street, you can enjoy the best of both the Gulf and Old River Bay.

Parking
Each unit is permitted (2) vehicles maximum per stay. Guest registration is (1) per vehicle at $62.50 each. Unregistered vehicles will be towed at the owner's expense. Guest registration is valid for a maximum of (7) days. Longer stays will require re-registration. Once you register you will be sent a gate code for the complex.

Communication was great. The condo location was perfect but the condo itself needs some attention. I would not stay again. It looks like some DIY work has been started but never finished
 Very much original to when it was built. Kitchen has been updated, but the bathrooms have not. The kitchen is a great size and has what you need. The furniture in the bedrooms are all very dated so the drawers don’t work properly and the beds weren’t made for two people. Oh, and the building next door is closed for remodel so scaffolding blocks half the view. They are also jackhammering Monday- Friday. So the peaceful ocean isn’t what you on the balcony. We still had a great week but wouldn’t book this condo again until it was updated.

Beach Trip 2025

We loved the location and distance to get to the beach. We liked the set up of the condo and the view from the balcony. The breaker blowing every night around 10:56 and off and on during the day was a slight problem. Not being able to wash clothes and towels was an inconvenience. The staff was very good about getting issues looked at and bringing us clean towels to use. We did appreciate that. Looking forward to coming back next summer. Thanks for everything!

Great location right on the beach. The condo is large and comfortable for a family of 6. Close to restaurants and shopping, but on a quieter part of the beach which makes it nice. We will return.

Choose the wrong week

Love the location and the 3 bathrooms, but couches are dirty, unit needs some repainting and repair of doors, baseboards, and dryer could stand to be replaced. Worst was that construction was going on and our view was of plastic wrapped balcony railings. Had to stand up to see the ocean! For that I put the blame on the listing company not the owners. The company should know what is going on with the properties they handle. Availability should have been blocked. We did receive a two night refund, but would have been happier with the offer of another condo that was not being worked on.

Great Stay

The property was as described, good location, quiet, beach was not overly busy. The space was good and clean, bathrooms are a little dated and could be updated. View from the balcony was great for watching the ocean and beach.

4 of us gathered for a college reunion. Windrift 501 is in a great location right on the water. It could use a little updating but everything was functional. We would rent this condo again.

Love WindDrift

Our 5th year back and another memorable vacation at Orange Beach. The Wind Drift condos are great and this one didn’t disappoint. Highly recommend for anyone.

Great view and location needs work

The condo was OK. The layout was nice the view and location was great. However, the place really needs some work. Faucets leaked, and didn’t work well. Especially in the master bath. Main bath tub doesn’t drain well. You’re ankle deep in water by the time the shower is over. Kitchen sink faucet need work. It’s hard to turn off. It’s mostly old and tired looking and needs to reinvestment. Also having to go buy my own toilet paper is really a turn off. One spare roll in each bathroom would be nice.

The Master bath sink and bathtub is so old it looked like rust and the commode was horrible . The door going into the bathtub and commode room looked like a ten year old painted it . We paid $1,825.00 for 5 nights . As old as it is and horrible as it was , we shouldn’t have been charged over $1,200.00 .We should be refunded some . Mimi Hand

I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were moved to this condo after being told the condo that we rented at another complex was “not up to their standards and would not be ready”. We were told this on the day of our arrival while traveling. We expected this condo to be at least the same quality or better than the one we rented. It was poor quality from the minute we walked in. The door barely latched shut and was very loose making us not feel very safe or secure in this location!! The furniture and decor looked like it came from a garage sale. We were able to move to our original condo after 2 nights but we will never rent from Liquid Life again!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I would not stay in this unit again. First, our condo was ready for us to check in 2 hours late. Its needs a major renovation. When we first arrived their was an overwhelming smell of mildew that took my breathe away. We had to run the AC, open the door, and light a candle to air it out. There is what looks like to be mold on some areas of the ceilings. Items were left in the fridge. Their was a lot of dirt built up on the hall bathroom floor. The door in that bath was frayed at the bottom from water damage. The master bath had mold on the inside of the shower curtain. I found hairs on the third bathrooms toilet. I went to go wash clothes on our last night and couldn’t because there was so much sand in the machine. The only lighting in the living room and bedrooms was table lamps. I know other units in that building are updated and very well kept. There is already limited parking at this property and there were about 10 parking spots blocked off for construction,forcing some people to park across the street. When you walk into the building, to get on the elevator, the walls were gutted with the metals beams exposed. We were overall very disappointed in this stay, considering we spent almost $1500 on 2 nights. The lady that I booked the condo with over the phone was extremely nice though.

Pros: good location, nice size dining table, well stocked kitchen, great water pressure, nice living room furniture, fast elevators. Cons: musty smelling, poor dated small bathrooms, mattresses not great, no tv in one bedroom, no instructions on how to operate tv’s. Overall it was only ok. I expected more for the amount of money we paid. We would not go back there unless some of these things are addressed.

First time Condo rental in Orange Beach

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful time for most of our stay. Loved the view and sounds of the ocean waves and wildlife. The condo was very pleasant and comfy. The only setback was the building upgrades that were done with no notification. New electrical wiring throughout, and new cable wiring. Holes in the walls, mudding and sanding. We came home after dinner out, to find a mess and things moved.... and the refrigerator not working. Maintenance was very helpful with an extension cord and plugging into another outlet that did work. These could have been done on days the unit was not rented ?? It took 4 days of mess and inconvenience from our vacation. We focused on the good days and enjoyed the majority of our stay.

Great location

Great location! We love staying at Winddrift. This condo definitely needs upgrades. The shower in the master is still leaking, you can hear the water pipes all night long from people flushing or running water. A paint job would do this condo wonders. We were able to look past the cosmetic flaws though and enjoyed our stay. The condo is very convenient to surrounding restaurants and entertainment. We had no trouble with parking. I would recommend this condo if you can look past a few cosmetic flaws and get past the sound of dripping water in the master.

Rough around the edges

This property was clean. The beds were moderately comfortable. The couches were comfortable. However, there was mold on the shower curtain, mold growing on the ceiling, missing baseboards, peeling paint, poor paint jobs, and shoddy work all around-closet doors off the rails, upside down drawers and missing stick pulls on the door blinds. Not a horrible place to stay, but if you’re looking for “super nice” keep looking.
