Wonderful Mid Century Modern! Very spacious 2 story with plenty of room to retreat to your own space. There is a workout room downstairs. lovely place to stay!
It was very clean in a quiet neighborhood. We had a little trouble starting the gas stove (instructions would have been nice). Overall, it was a nice place to stay. Plenty of room for a group to visit in the living room. We loved the panel of windows that looked out into the wooded back yard! Retro house and decor. The owner was quick with responses to questions. We enjoyed our time. It was close to K-State and very easy to get around to main streets.
Very clean! Beds were very comfortable! Hostess was quick to respond to questions. Only drawback was the bathrooms. The one in the basement was in one of the bedrooms. We all get along great, so it was fine. The upstairs bathroom shower had a unique showerhead that was cool but made it very difficult to not get your hair wet unless you used the handheld attachment. We had plenty of hot water for all of us to shower. We didn't have time to play the arcade games but would be a huge hit for kids. Kitchen was very well stocked and an awesome coffee bar.
This home worked well for our stay. We were a group of 5 women, and each had our own space for sleeping. The home was charming and well equipped. We were confused by the emails from VRBO indicating that we should have heard from the host and been given access instructions. After contacting the host, we were told the instructions would be sent the night before or the morning of. This could have been very inconvenient had we been traveling and trying to get instructions. We had read the previous reviews and were warned that the oven might be an issue, and it was. The gas oven was very difficult to start even after finding the detailed instructions on the cabinet door. We never did get it lit and had to heat our dinner one at a time in the microwave. When we checked in right at the appointed time, the home was VERY warm. One of our group had her husband send 2 fans over from the local Walmart. We were not able to control the temperature at all. It finally did cool down, and by the morning it was so cold in the home that many of us had extra layers on trying to stay warm. The next morning it was like they knew we were leaving and turned off/up the A/C again, and it began to get warm. Overall, this home worked great, and I think the group would consider it again in the future.
