Great location, beautiful pond. Nice house with 2 full baths. House was not very clean although did have fresh towels and sheets. Overall very good rental that just needs a good cleaning

We had an absolute blast at this excellent property! The location is stunning, sitting right on the water with access to kayaks and a paddle boat which made for great daytime activities.A few things that really stood out during our stay:• The Scenic Jetty & Large Deck: Our friend group spent so much time taking pictures on the jetty, the beautiful fall colors in the backdrop were spectacular. In the evenings, we loved hanging out on the large scenic deck around the cozy fire table.• Great Local Walks: The house is perfectly situated near great scenic locales. We highly recommend taking a walk over to Goat Hill and the Orchard while you're here.• Comfortable & Well-Stocked: The home itself was incredibly comfortable and well-stocked with everything we needed.• Fantastic Host: Communication from the host, Jeremy, was excellent and prompt from start to finish.If you are looking for a relaxing, fun, and scenic getaway, this is the place to book. We would absolutely stay here again!

We had eight people taking advantage of our company remote week, and we had a blast! The house is on the smaller size, but fit us comfortably and felt cozy. We took full advantage of the outdoor spaces (the decks may never see that many laptops again) as well as the dock, swimming platform, and of course, the pond. The pots and pans in the kitchen definitely need an upgrade, but otherwise it was pretty well stocked. We also appreciated being able to throw in a load of towels here and there in the washer/dryer. Overall, we loved our time here and want to come back next year!

Relaxing stay on peaceful Lake

Everything was wonderful. We enjoyed sipping coffee and watching the sun rise over the lake in the morning.

Good property located in a small town that’s about 10 min drive away. It’s 1h to Portland and 30 min to NH. Didn’t feel as big or as clean as advertised- bathrooms felt very bare with no shampoo/conditioner/body wash as advertised, no hairdryers, and not as clean. There were lots of little bugs around the place even though no windows or doors were ever left open. Floors also felt dusty and not as well mopped. Some towels had stains and there were no extras provided either. Also didn’t like the Happy Guest AI checkin process- maybe consider using a regular check in process like other properties. Felt more hands off from the host than a normal host checkin process would’ve felt. Lake view, however, was beautiful and great to wake up to. Host has also provided games and TV is a smart TV so our group had fun!Overall not a bad property in terms of price and what you get but definitely felt like it was advertised as a lot better than what we got. Good place for a short stay of 2 days.

Even if the house had been a five star, would knock it down a full star due to requirement to use Happy Guest. Found the AI host to be condescending and frustrating to deal with. Will not do another Vrbo that uses Happy Guest.Regarding house: cleanliness and conditions inside the house were good. Cleanliness of deck and deck furniture needed attention. Although it was not mentioned in anemities, hoped that there was a coffee maker but no.Would like to start at 4.5 stars and drop to 3.5 due to AI host and Happy Guest but can't do half stars so will go with 3 stars.

Fantastic location and has a beautiful view of the lake ( from either inside the home or on the decks). My elderly mom was able to get into the home and move around comfortably because of few steps and main living on one level. Host was very responsive to questions and willing to help if we needed anything. Thank you for sharing you home ! We loved our stay.

Nice getaway

We wanted to have a lake side getaway during April vacation with our 3 kids and boy did we pick the right spot! Everything went great - the house was so clean and well stocked, the owner was very communicable with us before/during our stay, the house had a great location right on the lake, and we used the owners kayaks and explored the lake! We book marked this house to revisit again in the future!

Perfect rest time

We made a trip to be with family and friends. The house was much more than we expected. Clean, with a beautiful view of the Lake. The Neighbors kept us company for a moment and it was the most pleasant moment. If the photos are not convenience, I hope this review is. Because we all deserve a weekend like this.

Some major and some minor problems with this spot.The cookware is garbage, you can not cook on the completely trashed nonstick surfaces. And prep is difficult with dull knives.The cleaning was very bad. We found old socks crusted with lint and hare under an automin, hare in the bed, floors hary, hare on the shelves! Piles of dead bugs on the window cils. The lights were strange with some lamps not plugged in, and nowhere to plug them in? The floaties, tubes, and boards were strewen about the deck.The checkout instructions say to take trash to the shed. It's locked. The dumpster next to the property was extremely rank, and we could smell it if we opened the window.The host, or hostbot, was responsive and would answer quickly when we had questions.

We had a fantastic stay at the cottage! It was the perfect size for our group and had everything we needed. The paddle boat and kayaks were a great bonus—both the kids and adults had a blast on the water. The cottage also has a lovely little beach right off the rear deck, plus a dock where the kids could fish or jump in for a swim.My wife and I stayed in the downstairs bedroom, which opened right onto the deck. Waking up to the sunrise and winding down with the sunset over the water was just incredible.The host was excellent with communication from the very beginning and checked in throughout our stay to make sure everything was going smoothly. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience—highly recommend!

The cottage was more rustic camp than we were expecting for the price. The amenities and view were good. There is a slight septic odor outside on the decks that came off and on, maybe from a neighboring camp. We had a warm weekend and used the water front for kayaking, that was fine. It just seemed like no one had been there for awhile and the grounds and equipment needed some up keep. When we arrived the neighbor was parked in the driveway and had to move, strange as we were expected.

The rental left a bit to be desired. The interior was nice and comfortable and clean. The exterior was not as expected. There was no dock in the water as advertised, the paddle boat was filled with water and dirty, the outdoor furniture was not cleaned and had dead bugs all over it. I communicated the week prior to arrival asking about life jackets to use the boats and was told they should be there but it would be confirmed. I kept following up but no confirmation. There were no lifejackets therefore we could not use any of the boats and since there was no dock as advertised we couldn’t easily fish with the kids. It was disappointing. Also be aware you will be communicating with AI so while it seems they are very responsive, it’s just AI.

There were 8 family members, 6 adults, 2 children and 2 dogs staying at this lakeside home. We found it to be spacious and quite comfortable for everyone. My grandchildren enjoyed the beach area and my son-in-laws took advantage of the paddle boat and kayaks.The one concern we had were the steep stairs going down to the first floor. We were able to manage and work around that but maybe that could be mentioned in the listing or pre check in information.Overall, the home was perfect for our needs as we wanted to be near family for a reunion and wedding. We especially enjoyed the fire pit a couple of nights.Jeremy was a very responsive host!

Loon Pond is clean, pretty, and peaceful.The property manager is cordial and responsive.However, we felt that the property is a lot smaller and more rustic than the pictures and description convey. We also had concerns about the property's suitability for people with mobility issues, or for families with small children. In particular, the interior stairs are very steep, with open treads at non-standard heights, and lack a child-safe railing.In addition, there were some maintenance issues which we have communicated to the property manager.

We enjoyed our stay and loved being on the lake. The registration process was difficult, as the link to the “happy guest” program didn’t work from my iPhone and figuring out how to upload pictures of the front and ack of my license and a picture of me holding my license was time consuming and frustrating. I have never had that kind of trouble before. Also the 1000 damage deposit was not disclosed until after I booked the reservation. Overall the happy guest program felt like it was run by a bot, rather than a person. While I stated my reason for travel as attending a funeral, the “owner” kept writing about having a great and amazing time. Anyway, the house was fine and the location great. The upstairs bedrooms are very small as is the bathroom, and the downstairs bedroom is lovely but getting there involves a steep staircase that can be tricky to navigate.
