We stayed for 4 days for the ACDC concert. It was a cute little place. People all around were friendly. A big suggestion when you arrive. Go to the side door not the front door. We had a very friendly maintenance man named Berto! Only a few issues to note. The pillows were terrible! Not alot around to walk to but there was a few grocery stores.
The address of this listing is just plain wrong. The host was very helpful, guiding us to the correct address via telephone. The listing states that thereâs a code to the lockbox the keys will be in, and that guests will have that code 48 hours before arrival. Neither of these is true.Iâve been using Vrbo since it was HomeAway, and Iâve never been disappointed. The apartment itself was fineâprobably the best-equipped kitchen Iâve seen in a Vrboâbut the house rules are absurd in a couple of respects: given thereâs a not-inconsiderable cleaning fee, why does this place demand that guests collect the towels and linens, and take out the trash? Itâs also worth noting that, in taking the trash down three floors to the dumpster, we had to step over a great deal more trash to get to the dumpster than we were taking out.
Stayed here with my spouse, son, father and his partner to visit my brother who lives in Chicago. We wanted someplace close to Shed Aquarium. This location checked that box (shed was about 17 minutes from this spot)! The co-host was friendly and responsive when we had some issues with finding the correct entrance. Area is decent, lots of sirens and near the L train but you can mostly only hear that when you are outside on the back deck (also I feel like this is normal Chicago noise). My son loved watching the L train go by and watching planes from the back deck, it is a cool little spot to drink coffee and hang at night. It was a bit noisy the second night we were there, someone had music playing late (past midnight) and even with a noise machine it woke up my son (1.5 year old). The first night the CO host was open about having a birthday party and it was minimal noise and very respectful! Not sure where the noise was coming from the second night but it was noticeable from the back room but not the front bedroom. Place was fairly clean, we did find empty pizza boxes in the oven left over from someone (thank goodness we didn't pre heat the oven before finding them!!) and the fan intermittently worked in the front bedroom. It was very hot when we got there (80 degrees in the house) and AC didn't seem to work (I did not reach out to host about this because we just opened the windows and doors and the place cooled off). Overall comfortable stay.
