Lovely historic home in a great location except for some traffic/street noise. Some of the kitchen appliances were not working (ice maker, water in fridge door, oven wouldn't bake or broil - just convection), and there is no toaster. Bathmats are missing, and some of the towels need to be retired.
We stayed here for a graduation at UK and had a wonderful time. Perfect location, walking distance to tons of restaurants and bars, and campus. Beautiful house, perfect for our group of 4 adults.
We (four adult females) booked this home for a surprise 60th birthday trip for our friend. We had a blast! The beds were so comfy and the sheets were wonderful. Location was perfect. No ghosts seen/heard. :)
overall good stay. traffic noise a little loud at night by upstairs bedroom. Living room furniture could use some updating. House was clean beds comfortable. Great communication with the owner
Great location and property. The living room and dining room furniture are antique looking and very uncomfortable. The kitchen supplies are older and need replaced. Overall liv d the property, but needs updates to make it more comfortable.
College roomates and i had a great reunion trip. This place is classic and full of history. Host is very responsive and helpful. Everything is in walking distance! Love this place, i definitely recommend.
Awesome old home. I kept staring at the old beams in the living room wondering what stories they could tell. This house is well maintained and you can tell it is loved. We walked to downtown every night and even walked to the football stadium, but we can easily trek many miles per day. Might be hard with elderly or kids.
There is street noise and sirens from a station close by. Didnât phase me, but bring your earplugs if you arenât accustomed to city life.
Tip: if you want to do bourbon or horse farm tours, book now. The more popular ones book out months in advance. Nicer restaurants also need to be booked. Corto Lima is a few blocks away and was my favorite dining experience of the trip. The bars closest to campus have more college aged patrons and rowdy. Bars closer to the house are older and laid back.
109 Constitution St. go into the book store (wink wink)
We had a great girls trip to see JT! The location to Rupp Arena was PERFECT! We were able to walk to our event in under 10 minutes, slightly downhill. You pass lots of places to eat and shop too! The cabin/house was perfect for our group. There was a bed upstairs that was a little squeaky but we survived. The notes in the review book made us laugh and made the whole night even better! If we ever see anyone else at Rupp Arena we will totally reach out to stay here! Thanks for helping add to our memories!
We three meet every year to explore a city and Lexington was it this year. This place was the perfect place. It's right downtown next to a university and park in a lovely neighborhood. Parking was right there! The house is one of the original homes in Lexington and filled with history and decorated perfectly. Lots of comfy beds. A small kitchen so don't plan on doing any gourmet meals but great for breakfast and charcuterie boards. Very close to distilleries and horses and gardens. What more do you need?
