We had so much fun staying at the Juliette Mill. It was such a neat place to stay; the views are amazing, and we absolutely loved the goats. It was awesome being able to stay across from the Whistle Stop Cafe. It was very nice, clean, and the host was great.
We absolutely loved staying at the Juliette Mill. The description was just as described. If you are a fan of the movie Fried Green Tomatoes this is a slice of heaven. We felt like we were back in time staying here and seeing the resturant across the way and loved watching the trains come by all day and night. They provided most anything you would need for a quick get-away. Owners were quick to communicate with any questions and offered lots of ideas and suggestions for the areas. Make sure to eat at the cafe and also visit Robins Air Force Base Museum ,Hay House and Cannonball House not far away. But if you are looking for a quick romantic get-away or little family vacation this it. We will definitely be back soon and cant wait to see what else they do with this piece of history and so glad they've chosen to keep it up .
The owners were thoughtful in their prep of the unique space. They went out of their way to provide a cot for our child. Everything was very well organized and labeled. The river spins was soothing at night and the little goats were precious. To stay in an old mill is unusual and made it fun!Laundry would be a great addition
We are hustlers. We are a family owned business who thrive in unique experiences and adventures. We are a family of four plus our fur baby Cane Corso Tom and his miniature goat friends. We enjoy pursuing different interests which combined range from writing childrenâs books/stories to arts and crafts and especially building and creating, taking things apart and rebuilding using a variety of materials, including wood and metal.
Thank you so much for choosing us and we hope you enjoy your stay!
The Juliette Mill is a 6 story concrete structure, grist mill, that was rebuilt in 1926 after the original structure burned down. At the time, this mill was the largest hydro-powered grist mill in the world with a total of 25 stones to grind corn into grits. The Juliette Mill was featured in the movie Fried Green Tomatoes and it is located across from the internationally famous Whistle Stop Cafe. âThe building was also home of a Motorcycle museum showcasing antiques and vintage Harley Davidson motorcycles. The Juliette Mill is under new ownership and we are in the process of planning staged renovations to accommodate guests as a short term rental AIRBNB and VRBO style respite and hopefully a Wedding/ Event Venue and Film/ TV ad location in the near future.
