Cette cabane privée fermée située sur un terrain boisé sur les traces de la forêt nationale de Ouachita (à 5 km de la montagne Habor sur le lac Ouachita - un paradis pour la navigation de plaisance (à 25 minutes du camp Ozark!) cette nouvelle cabine est le lieu idéal pour une escapade en famille, un week-end paisible ou le rêve d'un pêcheur de basse devenu réalité! Chaque saison est un moment idéal pour profiter de tout ce que cet endroit a à offrir.

Des marches descendent du pont arrière de la cabine jusqu'au bord de la montagne, où vous pourrez explorer et trouver des cristaux intacts. Le recordman du monde a été attrapé à moins de 5 miles de la cabine et un service de location de bateaux et de guides de pêche est disponible. Le guide de pêche Wayne Compton au 5016274283 fait partie de nos préférés. Excellent lac et possibilités de plein air abondent. De nombreux sentiers de randonnée et pistes cyclables se trouvent à moins de 5 minutes de la cabine. Plusieurs sentiers suivent le rivage du lac. Nous avons des cartes pour montrer tous les différents sentiers.

L'intérieur de la cabine est extrêmement confortable et comprend deux suites principales: une chambre principale avec un nouveau lit king size et une chambre à l'étage avec un lit queen size et une salle de bains privée. Le premier étage dispose également d'un grenier qui pourrait être transformé en une troisième chambre, parfait pour les enfants! La chambre du bas a des portes-fenêtres ouvrant sur le porche arrière avec une vue magnifique sur les montagnes, tandis que la suite à l'étage a son propre balcon privé. Alors soyez prêt à vous déconnecter totalement, cependant, ne vous inquiétez pas, nous avons le WIFI et la télévision directe. FYI: notre réseau Internet est rural et n’est utilisé que pour consulter les e-mails et les réseaux sociaux. PAS pour les jeux en streaming, les vidéos et les films,!

Very well equipped and comfortable

Spacious, comfortable and well equipped. The owner was very helpful about everything and always quick to response. A perfect place for a family to enjoy the beautiful nature in Arkansans! You may hear the sound of the car traffic much in the daytime because it is located right next to the area's main road. It did not bother us at all since we were away exploring the places in the daytime and it was totally quiet at night. Highly recommended for a family fun!

great base to explore the area

This was a great place to stay while we explored the area and dug for crystals. The house was perfect for our family of four. It was somewhat secluded but still easy to find. You can occasionally hear a loud car pass on the road below, but it was not loud. We had everything we needed and were very comfortable.

Beautiful cabin!

The cabin was very beautiful and nice. The location is between Hot Springs and Mount Ida. It was a bit of a drive each way. Only complaint would be that the cabin is right next to the highway which I didn’t realize until we got there.

This was a perfect little out of the way cabin. It is a well equipped spacious rental. If you have kids that like to explore and dig this is the place for them! Crystal mining is close and a fun experience. Plenty of nature to enjoy! Great experience all around!

This property was amazing! Plenty of room for the whole family. Great deck and fire pit area for fun conversations and s’mores. Crystal hunting in back woods was a highlight. Close enough to everything we needed and remote enough for peace and quiet. 10/10 recommend!

The perfect spot

The property is heavily wooded and private, very beautiful, and well taken care of. The owner was quick to reply to my questions throughout the stay and made sure we had what we needed. We did some crystal hunting while there and this location is in the perfect spot if that is in your plans. I’d easily stay here again if I’m ever back in the area.

Comfortable and well-furnished / stocked

My husband and I had a wonderful 10 night stay in this home. The space was perfect for the 2 of us, and would have also been great for another couple to stay upstairs. The king bed that we used was extremely comfortable. The bathroom and large walk-in closet were very nice. The kitchen had everything we needed, although we are spoiled so a Keurig would have been nice for our K-cups. Coffee grounds were supplied to use with the traditional coffee maker, so it wasn't a problem for us. We were able to watch Netflix on the smart TV, which was good because we didn't want to be limited to cable. The deck overlooked the highway, which was noisy with all of the cars and trucks driving by. But we got used to it. The back side of the house was surrounded by woods and a creek. That was beautiful. We felt secure with the gated entrance to the driveway. We enjoyed evenings sitting by the firepit, with a nicely stocked woodpile, sipping a glass of wine. Husband went fishing everyday on Ouachita, which was only about 10 minutes away. The interior of the house was clean and cozy, with nice decorating touches. It is clear that the owners take pride in the property and care deeply about the comfort and happiness of their guests.

Clean, Spacious, Beautiful Setting

My son-in-law and myself took my 3 grand children for 3 days of spring break to dig for crystals in the Mt Ida area. We hiked around parts of Lake Ouachita ate at several local restaurants. The kids loved the cabin and wooded surroundings to explore. Beds were comfortable and so nice to come back to this place to rest up for our next outing.

We had a wonderful stay at this cabin. Much better in person then in pictures! Very clean and well stocked. We enjoyed hiking & crystal hunting around the property. Convenient location to town. Would definitely stay here again.

Avoid VRBO

To be honest, I cannot rate the actual house due to the fact we never made it in. We left our home in IL at 4am with 3 kids in tow (ages 11, 9, and 2) hoping to arrive by dinner. At around 7:30, we arrive at the house which has a gated entrance at the end of the driveway. I checked the email info for a gate code. Nothing. We contact the help line for vrbo. It’s now after 8pm and vrbo states the owner isn’t required to answer between 8pm and 8am. But before they attempt to look for a gate code, we need to send a pic of the gate to them because we sound suspicious. ?!? Sending pic. After confirming we are not criminals, they stated they couldn’t find any code and they would set us up in a motel for the night. At this time, hubby says no, I will walk all our luggage up the hill to the house before I go to a motel. (FYI it’s pouring rain) Vrbo didn’t want to hold and stated for us to call back if we needed further help. Hubby comes back down the hill (drenched) and says, key is not in the location stated in email. Call back vrbo and now told, they can’t find hotel so we will just reimburse you for anything you can find. And now the kids are screaming mad tired. Driving for an hour and finally get into a “hotel.” It had beds. I didn’t notice bugs. That’s about all I can say. Nothing open and now we’re hungry. Let salvage what we can from the groceries we bought BEFORE realizing we couldn’t get into the house. Then pitch the rest because we have no place to put it. “Sleep” in queen bed with toddler. Wake up at 8am exhausted. Call vrbo help. Since we can’t reach the owner, we’ll be happy to pay for 2 nights in a hotel…..WTH! (This is the time I flipped out) I explained to them the child situation and they said they would absolutely make sure we get 2 adjoining suites with full kitchens for our groceries (little late for that) and contact us as soon as the owner is reached. Drive to the hotel. None of their rooms join. Exterior entrance only. That’s a BIG no. Used other web site…Found a 4 bedroom 2 bath house ready by 4pm. No issues. Got settled. Started our vacation. Never called vrbo to tell them we went somewhere else. Figured they would check on us. Nope. 2 days later, the homeowner calls me direct. She’s pretty angry with vrbo. Says she was never told about our stay. Her son and co-owner was never contacted. Very apologetic. Gave personal cell # and offered 20% discount on another visit. I’m sure the house is great. Just don’t book through VRBO.

2nd time and again a pleasure!

This is our return visit for our 1 year wedding anniversary after I proposed here 2 years ago. We thought it would be a nice way of coming full circle. The property is gorgeous and very comfy. The cabin was exactly as advertised and perfect for our family to get to Mt. Ida or Hot Springs easily. Beds were all comfy and the scenery was beautiful. Would definitely return to this property.

We're all from Mt. Ida, and grew up spending family time on Lake Ouachita. We built this Cabin to be the family's private retreat closer to the lake, however some of our famly have moved away and the property isn't being used as often as we'd planned, so we'd like to share our little piece of paradise with others. We are open to suggestions to making it the best we can make it. We can't wait to hear what traditions and memories your family created!

This house is secluded enough to be serene but is conveniently located close to the lake. It doesn't get much better than this log cabin!

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

I love how this Cabin has all the comforts of home, yet is placed on top of a mountain with a great view, which the huge wrap around decks really take advantage of. I could (and often have) sit outside all day and night.
