Very cozy cabin. Very responsive and friendly host. The front porch a great place to enjoy sunrises. Enough room behind it to exercise our dog. Beautiful setting.
I stayed for an entire month at this cabin, and it was honestly a really great experience. Nancy was a wonderful host, and even helped me with a delivery at the address. I only slept in the master bed, and that mattress was very comfortable. The bathroom was very, very clean and I appreciated having well functioning washer and dryers in there. Hint: if you need to dry laundry, do it 30 minutes before youâre going to shower and it will warm up the bathroom nicely. The kitchen was great and had everything I needed for baking or stove top cooking. Plenty of dishes, too. All appliances worked excellently. Extra linens and towels if needed for both the bathroom in the kitchen. There are so many great things to do around the area, including hiking and horseback riding. thereâs also a bowling alley open on Saturday nights, and a tiny movie theater downtown. Everything is five minutes away to drive. Check out the local grocery stores! Thereâs a neighborhood walking distance from the cabin that was really enjoyable to use for evening walks as well when the weather is nice. I also enjoyed watching the two donkeys out the front in the neighborâs pasture. They were cute.
The cottage was perfect place for us to stay. Close to Public Hunting Land with all the comforts of home. Will definitely stay here when we plan our next hunt.
Husband, son, and DIL stayed here for several days while antelope hunting. Hubby is very picky and when I asked how he liked the cabin, his succinct reply was "Excellent".
We had a nice stay at the crazy woman cottage. It was a perfect location. The cabin had everything we needed for the weekend. We were able to cook and grill there. Thanks for the nice place to stay.
We had a great time. The cabin was a perfect base camp for our day hikes. My son loved the property and Nancy was very accommodating and knowledgeable about the area.
We absolutely loved the cabin. It was spotless and tastefully decorated. It was very close to town and lots of really good hiking. Fun restaurants and just enough shopping for us. Never been to this area. Love it and we will be back.
Crazy woman cottage was right on the edge of Buffalo so close to everything but yet very peaceful. Had everything needed to prepare a meal including a nice gas grill. Everything was clean and well maintained. Would definitely stay here again.
It was so nice to come back to Buffalo after leaving 41 years ago. This house made it all the better! Perfect little cabin on the edge of town with a little creek right down the road! Love this place and will stay again when we return.
The moment we saw the cottage we knew it was perfect. The location is ideal for trips into Buffalo or Sheridan. We loved returning to this clean, comfortable charming cabin after a day hiking or exploring. Nancy was delightful, always responding promptly to any questions and had great suggestions
The cottage was spotless and had every possible amenity. Cute little Abby, always ready to play, was a bonus! We hope to return!
We loved staying in these cottages and wished we could have stayed longer. The location was perfect. Very clean. Layout was perfect for our family. We hated to leave even during the day to do activities, it was fun just hanging out and enjoying the cottages. Nice area outside. Owner was so nice. Thanks for providing a great place to stay in Buffalo, we hope to return!
We stayed in Cabin #2 and it was overall a nice place to call âhomeâ for a few days. It is furnished nicely with new furniture and was clean. Itâs just outside of town â less than 5 minute drive to downtown Buffalo. I really enjoyed the porch out front (only wished it was on the back side to view the mountains).
A few things Iâd like to mention because these items dropped my star rating and I would have appreciated knowing before I booked. 1. The air conditioner runs VERY LOUD. Not only the unit but in the duct work. 2. Water pressure in the shower is very low and water temperature is lukewarm, at best. 3. The queen bed is a very firm bed. The futons in the other room at not quite so firm and worked for us (who like relaxed/semi soft beds). 4. There is no table or desk in the unit ~ only dining seating is at the breakfast bar with stools.
Again, itâs a nice place but I wanted to inform potential renters of a few things we discovered.
Crazy Women Cottages are absolutely wonderful. Very quiet location with views of the Big Horn Mountains. People on the property are friendly and a great source of information for the area. And the city of Buffalo is fun.
This was a wonderful cabin (home) for our family to stay in over the Thanksgiving holiday. I was able to cook my side dishes (could have cooked the turkey too!) to take to our family that live in town, extremely well stocked kitchen. Very comfortable for our group, including our dog which we were very grateful to be able to bring. Weâd love to stay there again.
We are Diane Memmer and Nancy Wold. We are sisters and grew up on a cattle ranch up the creek from where our cottages now sit. Our parents and brother still own and operate the ranch. We decided to put in the cottages when Nancy moved back to Buffalo two years ago and purchased 5 1/2 acres. We both have been business owners for many years and decided to have vacation rentals to finance our vacations!!
This property has wonderful mountain views and French creek access. It is very close to Buffalo and the Fair Grounds. Nancy lives on the property and has room to indulge in her passion for flower gardening. Come sit in the garden with your morning coffee, or go down by the creek and and listen to the birds. We are close enough to town to walk in to see the western museum, and shop for art and antiques. (about a mile). You may also want to visit Buffalo's huge free park and swimming pool.
These are new cottages in 2016 and we chose the layout because we loved the porch and front windows. We have all the advantages of the country but are still close enough to town to take advantage of local restaurants and other small community activities.
