Great place in a beautiful little mountain town.
Not as much privacy as we would have preferred, but everything else was perfect. And for the price, it was unbeatable.
Staying with Wendy & Tim is a delight - the suite adjoining their house is quaint and comfy and exactly the right amount of space for folks looking for a home base for mountain adventures. The space is private, but your hosts are so wonderful youâre gonna want to meet them and chat a bit. They were very gracious and welcoming and provided a host of little amenities that saved us time grabbing coffee/cream etc. looking forward to visiting again!
We had a wonderful stay at this VRBO property in Jamestown, Colorado. The home was beautiful, clean, and incredibly quietâperfect for a relaxing getaway. Wendy and Tim, the hosts, were very friendly and welcoming. They even left us some delightful treats, which were a fantastic snack after our hiking adventures. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to unwind in a peaceful setting!
Highly recommended - Wendy is an amazing host and the bedroom was clean and well setup. Wendy left us treats everyday and gave us many tips and recommendations around the area.
Nice people with beautiful souls. Warm, comfy house in a quaint town with views for days. You can hike out of the driveway, catch live music on Fridays, or just soak in the hot tub. Highly recommend and hope to return, one day!
Tim and Wendy are among the most thoughtful and caring hosts we have ever known. Not only is this charming little suite (with a bedroom, full bath, washer/dryer, and kitchette) spotlessly clean, they equip it daily with homebaked cookies, banana bread, and snacks as well as yogurt, juice, and sparkling water. Their home is a peaceful haven, filled with the spirit of authentic kindness. We will gladly stay here again.
We had fun at your beautiful mountain home. Some highlights were: lunch in the park 5 minutes from your house with a panoramic view of the mountains, hiking starting right from the backyard, and watching the blue moon rising over the mountains.

We had such a great stay here! My husband and I were in the area for a wedding and Wendy and Tim were awesome hosts. The rooms were clean and comfortable with every amenity we could want. Wendy even baked tasty treats for us and surprised us with them! The area is beautiful for hiking and the town is really cute. We went to the Merc as recommended by our hosts and had a great meal there with a cozy atmosphere. This is definitely a place I would recommend to anyone wanting to be in the area but not necessarily in Denver/Boulder proper. You'll love it!
There is beautiful walking and hiking in any direction. Restaurant is in walking distance. Just an incredibly peaceful area. Wendy was amazing! She was personable, left notes daily, and additional breakfast treats each day! There is a private entrance, but Wendy was open to as much or little interaction as I wanted to have. Hands down...I would absolutely stay here again!
Wendy and her husband were wonderful hosts. The location was beautiful. A variety of hiking options just steps away from the door. They had a nice binder with information about food, the area, and hiking. The hot tub was the perfect way to end the evening. Everyone in the area was very friendly. My only suggestion is that they include something about not having locks between their place and the apartment we stayed in or a lock on the bedroom door. That could make a difference for some. We are from a small town so it didnât bother us at all. If and when we come back to the area we definitely will see if they have an open spot for us to stay again. It was a great get away to reconnect with each other and nature.
Thank you again for such an amazing stay.
Perfect, scenic, quiet, comfy space for a visit to the Boulder area!
Three weeks after coming home and I still feel like a hero for finding the Stokes' home for our all too short visit to the Boulder, CO area! The Jamestown location perfectly fit with our needs to be close to Boulder Reservoir, have a quiet, relaxing, beautiful place to stay and be within a short drive (or walk) of great hiking & sightseeing. We enjoyed the cozy room, time in the hot tub, dinner in Jamestown at 'The Merc', hanging with the hummingbirds, and the gracious and welcoming treatment we received from our hosts- Wendy, Tim and Richard. Our thanks to each of you for sharing your home and for your kind attention to our comfort!
P.S.
Best wishes on your upcoming trek in Italy!

We stayed with Wendy and Tim for the first few days of our honeymoon. It was wonderful! They have great suggestions of things to do and places to go. The check in process was simple and straightforward. We felt so welcomed by them while still having our privacy. They provided us with more than we imagined.... breakfast, coffee, juice, snacks! Their property is beautiful and the drive up to Jamestown is just as gorgeous. Overall they made our first trip to Colorado together a great experience! We hope to come back next summer. Thank you Wendy and Tim!
What a hidden gem! This guest suite is quite the find for the person looking for serenity, peace, and reconnecting to mother nature. I am so hesitant to say how wonderful my stay was because I want to keep it all to myself! The owners are the kindest folks and very accommodating. Wendy's fresh breads in the mornings were such a treat to enjoy. The town of Jamestown is rich with history and wonderfully friendly folks. I loved my foot soaks in the river, exploring the Blue Jay mine, the old cemetery, and nearby mtn bike trails. I will absolutely stay here again if possible. Great energy & good vibes all around!! Save me a spot for next time, Wendy! :)
We came to CO to hike in the mountains all day and so really just needed a place to sleep. The room was wonderful, the bathroom clean and perfect for our needs, and the little kitchenette was an added bonus. Wendy checked on us every day to ensure we didnât need anything, and stocked our kitchenette with fresh fruit and little homemade treats every day as well! I would have appreciate a lock on the door to the main house to lock while sleeping at night, and the mattress was a little hard but we were so exhausted we didnât notice much. Other than those very small details it was wonderful! The hot tub was amazing after hiking all day as well!
The personal touch provided by Wendy & Tim was what struck us as the most positive point of the trip
We enjoyed the stay, but would like to politely suggest the specific amenities be revisited. There were several things that we didnât find to be in place (e.g. toaster, stove, etc.). As mentioned, the host was accommodating. However, accuracy of advertised amenities would be a plus. Having the washer & dryer, dirty clothes, in the eating area (not the kitchen mentioned) was also a bit of a concern. With that said, I want to add the fact that we did enjoy our stay.
Beginning with the approach to the property, the little touches of personality you will find, provided by the hosts Tim and Wendy shined throughout our stay here.
Nestled in a canyon along James Creek, lies land once occupied by Indians, miners... and now you!
Less than an hour drive (that's very scenic) and you're smack dab in Estes Park. The neighbors in Jamestown are some of the friendliest folks I have met. Tim and Wendy are ridiculously genuine, caring, and hospitable!
One night after making it back from museums in Boulder, we headed out on a hike. We were gone a little bit too long and made it back just in time to see Wendy with a flashlight and her dog getting a search-and-rescue party ready! LOL I'm sorry, Wendy! The miles and miles of beautiful trails accessible from your front door where like a Siren's call. Roosevelt National Forest is literally at the doorstep.
I can't recommend this place enough but then again if I recommend this place too much, I won't be able to ever stay there! :P
I want to move to Jimtown. =D
At the time we booked the listing of this property the description was advertised slightly inaccurate where we thought we had booked the whole house. Upon arrival, we were greeted by our hosts and quickly learned we had actually rented the guest suite attached. After a little adjustment we realized this guest suite was actually accommodated perfectly to meet our needs. They offer a full bath and queen bed and the host was very generous in providing coffee, tea, snacks and even home made breakfast bread. When we first arrived and checked the listing we saw the ad had been changed to Guest suite, well the experience is more of a bed and breakfast and quite enjoyable. Our towels were changed, snacks provided and dishes cleaned all while we were out. Despite our confusion this stay was fantastic. Secluded, and private even in a shared home. We enjoyed the hot tub and received great recommendations of places and restaurants.
We would definitely come back.
Wendy was very sweet. When we would leave for the day to go hike, she would come in the guest suite and leave little treats for us to snack on and always took out the trash and washed the small amount of dishes we used each morning. There was some miscommunication on the date we were supposed to check in, but humans make mistakes.. This is a beautiful area ! Great for sipping on coffee in the morning admiring the mountains and star gazing at night with a glass of wine. The only things that I would suggest is more sound proofing, as we were able to hear them every morning making breakfast. Also a new filter for the hot tub and give it a good cleaning.
