Tackle Box features a massaive lagoon style private pool and a private Tiki bar, it’s like having your own private resort! The home sits on a private gated road (glorified sidewalk) just across the street from private beach access. The road dead ends just one home past Tackle Box so you will not have to deal with traffic at all! Enjoy stunning gulf views from every level of the home (the higher you go, the better the view!) Tackle Box has a seven bedroom main house and a two bedroom guest house. The guest house is fully self sufficient with a full kitchen, full living room, full bathroom and laundry area.

Wonderful!

We stayed at Tackle Box for a week with a very large group of all ages. The location is excellent! Just steps from the beach. The space was generous and didn't feel cramped, and the property seemed clean overall. We had a great time and would stay again.Only negatives were some minor maintenance issues (slightly dirty pool, clogged drain, non-operable window and door to balcony, broken fridge drawer, and outdated filter). Any that we reported were addressed promptly by the property manager. The upper floors could also get a bit warm at times.Overall we had a great time and would recommend this property.

Family vacation

We had a great time at the tackle box property! Plenty of space for a large group of all ages. Kids loved the pool and the beach. The property is very nice…it is a lot of stairs if you’re on the 3rd floor so be prepared 😀

Great stay for big families

This home is a great stay for family, location is amazing ( right on the beach, and stores just a 2 minutes drive). The amenities were great. It just needed a deep cleaning ,and maybe a walk through for items not working around the house. Honestly just minor things. The home is very spacious, but it needs a little TLC. I would definitely stay again.

Great home !!!

This was a great home cleanliness location well stocked but the only downfall was small roaches maybe home was empty for a while . Other then that the house was perfect. Beach was not what expected do to bad weather and lots of jellyfish but pool was great kids enjoyed a lot !!!

House is outdated

I really wish they would update this home. The whole house is old and furniture is all beat up and smells bad. The ac on the bottom floor does not work. I let the manager know the condition of the house and all they said was sorry it is still livable. I will not recommend to no one.

We have stayed here since this home first got finished. We found it before it was even complete and have had the priviledge of meeting the owners several times. The home is absolutely beautiful, very comfortable, and has gorgeous views for being 1 row back from the beach. It is like being right on the beach.The owners shared that soon after t the home being finished they had a group that did a good bit of damage that had to be repaired, so I know they do thorough checks before and after your stay. We have rented from Ocan Reef for years and never encountered any problems. Anyrhing we had to call about was promptly and satisfactorily addressed. We are looking forward to being there in a little over a week for our 3rd year at Tacklebox. We appreciate knowing that the property is clean and well kept at all times. We usually even roll up smaller rugs while we are there and put them baxk when we leave because we tey to treat rentals better than we do our own properties!

Expected more for the price

The house is gorgeous in a beautiful location, but several small annoyances could made it way better. Upon on arrival, the pool was dirty and you couldn’t even see through the water. There was a huge grease spill outside near the grill that stunk and the company stated nothing could be done about it. “Beach service” as included in the description is 2 chairs and 1 umbrella.. for 20 people. It’s hard to believe there were no other chairs, sand toys, beach towels, or pool floats provided. We left some so hopefully other guests will get to enjoy. Gas for the grill was empty which you have to fill yourself and submit for a refund. Just a pain. One roll of toilet paper in each bathroom and minimal trash bags provided. Bedside tables were dirty and there was a dirty fork under the bed. No hangers in the walk in closet. The rental company could have done a far better job and made this vacation a little easier.

Not what it used to be

This was our third year in a row to stay at this house. The first year it was new and we fell in love with it and met the owners and they were super nice. This year all we can think is how we can find a new favorite place to stay. This house has become so filthy inside. There was urine running down the baseboard in the bathroom. Stuff smeared on the walls. Mold is growing everywhere. Ants are taking over the pool area. Cockroaches are infesting the apartment house and tiki bar. The game room is so full of crap people have just left there. The ping pong table is ruined. The pool table couldn't be used bc there weren't any good pool sticks left anymore. I understand some of these things are bc people don't respect it when they stay but it's like the house just isn't cared for anymore. There so much crap in the garage that people have left but nobody goes over and cleans it out so its just piled up. As far as the mold it's really simple to spray some tilex in the showers and sinks to get rid of it. I guess I just feel like I'm paying a huge cleaning fee but it isn't clean. The ladies in my group that I travel with shouldn't have to pack their house cleaning supplies every year to clean the room they are staying in. In my opinion that house needs a deep cleaning every other month. The hour the cleaning crew spends after 20+ people have just isn't cutting it! I will say the management company ocean reef is fabulous! They just need to get the house clean and all the broken and random crap out of there.

A lovely place for wonderful memories and a view!!!

This property was the perfect gathering place for our family vacation. We met with family from both Minnesota and Georgia and had an amazing time!! The kids never once complained the whole stay (except about sunburn - don’t forget sunscreen and rash guards 😉). Going back and forth to the beach was a breeze considering it was just across the street (private- no traffic). We could see the ocean and beach on every floor on two sides of the house. The other side of the three story home had the view of the nice sized heated pool and guest house/cabana (grill, TV, wet bar, and frig). Balconies galore with seating on every level. So many windows - plenty of light!! Plenty of seating by the lighted pool. Kids (and dogs) loved swimming in it when we weren't at the beach. Main kitchen and dining had anything and everything you could need to feed a large family. The main living room had a giant sectional that easily seated the 10 of us (both homes together could sleep 30 -also has a portable crib). The first floor also has a nice sized kitchenette with full size sink, dishwasher, and frig. Each of the 3 bedrooms on the 1st floor had their own 3/4 bathroom and TV. Also another smaller living area with queen pull out sofa. Water and outdoor shower by both entrances to clean off sand, etc before entering home (all tiled). Second floor with another large bedroom with bathroom, main kitchen, dining, and living. Third floor has amazing master suite with beautiful view of the ocean, large air jet soaking tub, large shower, and cute little toddler room with 2 toddler beds. Third floor Bunk room for four and four tvs!!! Another room has a hangout area with mini bar, TV and queen pull out sofa as well as a twin over full bunk bed!! So much room!! AND don't forget the 2br 2bath upstairs guest house over the garage (with pool/ping pong tables below - games too) with full living, dining, and kitchen. Modern kitchens and bathrooms, tasteful furnishings, and right next to the beach. We had so much fun!! Groceries (Winn Dixie) nearby, delivery options, and great clothing/gift shop (Alvins) at the end of the street. Outlet mall next to groceries. You won’t be disappointed.

Really nice location to stay

Nice place to stay , good location . But management of property or owner need do own inspection , so many thinks not working , balcony door looks not working on every door and every level ,so I had to get strap and tite them together over night , looks for master bedroom not working to , some door handle come off at soon as I pull to close door , so many scratches all over , some hair around the rug … nice play room -kids enjoy it !, . For condition of house I think it’s overpriced , I paid over 6k for 4 night . Room above play room was locked and not say on listing as it not included , no propane in grill so had to skip my bbq!!! .

All in all it was a good trip. Our arrival wasn’t what we expected. Our park area was taken up by the wedding party that was next door. Two of the toilets didn’t work. TVs were messed up. A few of the bathrooms weren’t supplied with toilet paper. The floors hadn’t been mopped. I walked around bare foot and my feet were completely black after a morning cooking and cleaning in the kitchen. This house didn’t supply seasoning or oil for cooking. The cook wear was in a disorganized mess. The next day was much better and everything seem to be going good and the rest of the stay was very nice. This is our second time to rent a house for a trip. I definitely had higher expectations for the price considering the last house we rented was $700 a night and was way cleaner and supplied everything we needed. We brought our clothes, toiletries, and groceries and everything else was supplied there at the house and very organized.

Wonderful vacation

What a wonderful place for a family reunion! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay; beautiful house, beautiful beach, beautiful pool. We had no problems, and any issues were taken care of in a timely manner; even having the pool heater repaired on Sunday. We’ve already started planning our next trip.

Loved the size and location of the house and guest house.

Was great for our family and friends for our daughters wedding. Perfect location. Enjoyed the tiki bar area and the game room. Not to mention the pool. Which the bride and groom took a unexpected plunge during the reception. Thank you.

Dream House

We rented this house and Snowdrift in front of it for our family reunion for about 35 people. It was freakin' awesome! Fantastic views and awesome, never too hot, white sand beach. We had the time of our lives. Our family coming from Ohio and Arizona all said it was the best ever! The views from each floor were a hit. The place was clean and Ocean Reef realty helped us any time we called. We highly recommend!

Amazing home!

We rented this house for an impromptu family reunion and absolutely loved it! Despite the cooler weather we were able to use the pool. the heater did cut off at night but the pool guy would come by just about everyday to make sure it was working properly. we had way more space than we needed and the view was ridiculous despite the little road between the home and the beach. I will def. rent this home again next time we need a larger place to stay. Thanks for everything!
