Bienvenue au French Leave South Beach !!

Cette villa nouvellement construite est située directement sur la plage la plus recherchée de l'île, une étendue de sable rose d'un kilomètre de long qui a été classée parmi les 20 meilleures plages du monde. French Leave Beach ne compte qu'une demi-douzaine de maisons et est généralement déserte.

La villa "Dogtrot" offre des vues spectaculaires sur la mer depuis chaque chambre. La grande salle donne sur l'océan à travers un mur de fenêtres. La cuisine avec vue sur la mer est entièrement équipée d'appareils électroménagers Bosch en acier inoxydable et de plans de travail en acajou africain.
Le Dogtrot dispose de deux suites parentales, chacune meublée d'un lit king-size et équipée d'une salle de bain complète attenante en acajou africain. Les deux chambres ont vue sur l'océan. Les salles de bains sont dotées de douches complètes et d'appareils Rohl partout. Un lit d'appoint est disponible pour une 5ème personne si nécessaire.

Au-delà des portes privées en acajou africain se trouve l'espace de vie extérieur offrant une vue à 180% sur la plage de French Leave et l'océan Atlantique.

Les équipements comprennent des plafonds voûtés, des ventilateurs de plafond, la climatisation, le WIFI, une télévision par câble à écran plat, une laveuse / sécheuse et un générateur de secours, un grill, des chaises de plage, une glacière et un parapluie.

Le règlement de Governor’s Harbour se trouve à 800 mètres, où vous trouverez des restaurants, des épiceries et des magasins d'alcool, la bibliothèque publique de Haynes (1897), des églises antiques, des boutiques de cadeaux, des cafés et des sandwichs et la Levy Health Clinic.

AMAZING

Dogtrot is the BEST! I can't think of a single thing that it was lacking. Communication was great with everyone involved with this rental. It was perfect and close to town. It is turn-key as a rental. It has everything. Do not let the construction next door, hold you back from renting this home. They were great!! Loved this property!! We also love Eleuthera-the people are what make it the BEST!

Perfect Spot

This property is in a great location on one of the most beautiful beaches we've ever been. House is nicely stocked with everything you could need, and beds are super comfortable (a must for a long vacation).

What a fabulous place on South French Leave Beach

Michelle was our caretaker and she was just perfect. All of our stay was quite wonderful. I hate to even admit it - but if you haven’t been to a pink sand beach like French Leave - well you are missing out. Dogtrot Villa was very clean and well maintained. Grocery stores close by and don’t miss going to The Buccaneer Restaurant

Great location and home

We have rented many properties on banks road and Governors Harbor. The French Leave villa is one of our favorites. Home is modern, clean and very comfortable. All appliances are functional and modern. Bedding and pillows are excellent. The location is superb with a great back porch looking out on the beach. French leave beach is outstanding. Stingrays frequent the beach here as do turtles. Swimming is excellent as well. House contact was very responsive to any needs or questions.

The house is well set up with everything you need. It was a refreshing change to have salt and pepper, olive oil, nice knives, good pots and pans, nice dishes, and even nice insulated yeti mugs for coffee and drinks. The deck is amazing and there are towels and sarongs as well as coolers and beach chairs and umbrellas. We will be back.

Magnificent House

Well, not sure where to start, but I'll try. This house is amazing as well equipped as you will ever find a beach house, they thought of everything. It was so great I'm afraid any future rentals will pale in comparison to Dogtrot. The beach is spectacular, very few people on the beach all week, maybe a few here and there. If you rent this house, be sure to go to the house first and check it out as it will help minimize your grocery purchase. Centrally located in Governors Harbor and close to everything. When we return to Eleuthera, we will not look anywhere else, we can't we were so spoiled there. The management team of Michele and her daughter Yasmine were outstanding so responsive and will help with anything you need, a quick text or call and that's it. Don't hesitate to rent this house, you won't be disappointed, I guarantee.

The only criticism of our stay was the attach by no seeums every evening. Not sure what can be done or if those bugs are always there or just happened to be there for our stay! We are delighted you enjoyed your stay at Dogtrot, but very sorry you were bothered by noseeums. They are sometimes, not always, a problem on the island. If they are present at all, they will come out at dusk and in the evening, so they won’t be a problem during the day. The most foolproof preventative is a pair of long pants and socks, because they go after legs and ankles. The evenings are usually comfortable, so you can wear long pants outside if necessary. Another popular solution is to cover your legs and ankles with baby oil. The little bugs can’t bite through a layer of oil. The bite of a noseeum is not very bothersome, but don't make the mistake of ignoring them. If they are out, as soon as you feel the first little bite, put on your long pants and socks, or your baby oil, or go inside. Otherwise, if you are allergic to their bites, you will wake up the next day with many itchy bumps on your legs.

The villa was beautiful just as shown in pictures, the beach is just steps away and it's centrally located making it great for exploring each end of the island and everything in between. Pam was so helpful in booking the reservation and Michele was great once we got there, answered all questions and attended to our needs. I would highly recommend this property and we most certainly will rent it again if back on Eleuthera.

The villa is perfect for two couples the front veranda is awesome for early morning coffee.....the island unfortunately experiences frequent power outages but Michelle (property manager) was very accommodating to ensure the generator was operating. The Sunset Inn is great for sunset dinners and the food is reasonably priced and good. The Buccaneer restaurant is another must place to dine, food is very good. Everyone is very friendly and accommodating during our trip .....Eleuthera is a secret amongst vacation getaways!

We are so disappointed to learn that your stay did not meet your--or our--expectations. We wish that you had let us know about these issues at the time, so that we could have addressed them for you. Regarding the one AC unit, we found that the circuit breaker had tripped. That was a two-minute fix if we had known about it. We pride ourselves on keeping the villa clean, tidy, and very comfortable, so are disappointed if you found it less than so. If you had mentioned this to us, we would have sent the housekeeper back in immediately to address the shortcomings. We are continuing to work to add quality amenities to enhance our guests’ experience, from new oversize premium loungers, beach umbrellas and side tables, to portable coolers, tumblers, umbrellas, boogie boards, floaties, beach toys, children’s toys, etc. We recently purchased the portable chairs and unfortunately they didn’t hold up well to the harsh seashore conditions so we’ll try another brand. The back door can be set to automatically lock upon closure, or to stay unlocked. Again, we wish you had let us know it was giving you trouble, so we could have changed the setting for you.

Absolutely perfect

This is our second trip to the beautiful secluded island of Eleuthera and this is our favorite place to stay. We loved staying directly on the beach. This Villa is even prettier than the pictures. Modern, clean, and situated on the most amazing beach on the island. The vegetation and plants have grown in perfectly and there is a sandy path leading right to the beach. Peaceful wide open pristine beach with clear blue water and light pink soft sand - it is truly a dream. The Villa is equipped with everything from beach chairs, cooler, umbrella, and lots of towels. The dual master king bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms were perfect for our family of 4. Kitchen has all you need for when we had breakfast or dined in. Melissa answers all your questions promptly and quickly. The Villa is close to fabulous places to eat such as Bacchus, Tippy’s and the Buccaneer. Any issues or recommendations you need - Melissa so knowledgeable and responsive. We will definitely be back to Eleuthera and back at this Villa! Thank you for the incredible memories.

Great House & Water!

The house was great and so well appointed. The beds were nice and firm. The linens and towels very nice. Loved the hand towels… actually googled where to purchase. One bedroom door didn’t close quite right but we found an easy solution. The water was great. We were there the last week of October and loved playing in the waves. They were fun without being too much or wearing you out. Our only reco would be to add option to have beaches cleaned of seaweed when it’s excessive… at least right in front of the property. Most days were fine, but our last two days there was really nowhere to put a chair that wasn’t covered with clumped up seaweed and some unsanitary trash it brought in with it. I would have even paid someone had I known who to call! Overall, we’re likely to return. Reco: rent a 4WD. The roads aren’t great and some beach access in other parts of island are challenging in a little car.

Oceanfront paradise

It is very close to Governors Harbor for supplies and dining.There are also several restaurants and bars within a few miles.The villa has a great layout. A very nice kitchen with good supplies, comfortable living and dining space and two private suites with full bathrooms. The beds are very comfortable. It’s nicely furnished throughout.The home is clean and in good shape, but it is not new. There are a few things that need a little TLC. The automatic generator is a great feature given the frequent power outages on the island. But it did not always turn on. Barbecue grill is not great. Gutter and downspout were disconnected from the house. Just a few things that did not match the caliber of the nice property. Michelle the property manager was very responsive and a great person to deal with. Problems with the generator were handled quickly. We loved our stay and hopefully will return in the near future.

Michele and her daughter were great hosts. Mr Pinder met us at airport with them perfect vehicle. we have traveled extensively in the Caribbean and The Bahamas Family Islands. Eleuthera is right at top for beauty and laid back life style as well as friendly people. Would definitely go back and must start at DOGTROT!

Our vacation at French Leave Villa was perfect.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It was our first trip to Eluethera and we were very pleased. We live in a couple of tourist hot spots so I found the perfect place for beauty and peace. Sunrise was amazing, water warm and clear, the perfect beach for walking and the accommodation was so comfortable and filled with amenities, whether in the kitchen, the beds, books, TV, generator, and all the beach gear. Very thoughtful hosts trying to provide for your comfort and relaxation. Pam was our host with Eluethera vacations and responded quickly to all questions and provided you with all the information you could need about the island. Their island host, Michelle, was lovely and very helpful and responsive. We talked with a few people that had stayed other places but came here because of the generator and internet service. They had poor experiences elsewhere. We had no power outage while we were there but neighbors said ours came on when theirs did not during an earlier outage. For us, I could not have picked a better place to stay and it is great to have Eluethera vacations as a host. Thank you!

The picture perfect get away!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed at a few different homes and this one was incredible. Felt like home away from home. All the amenities, high end bedding, living room accommodations, equipped kitchen and a view that topped it all. It will be our go-to spot until we move there.
