The house and the view were fantastic. The location is perfect for those who don't want to be in the tourist area and have a glimpse into real Grenada. The breezes cooled the house, and at night it was even a little chilly on the porch but luckily Gail and Don provided shawls so you could sit outside and look at the stars. The pool was great to have, especially since the day after we arrived we didn't feel like going anywhere. Beds were very comfortable and the showers had good pressure and warmth. Gail and Don also helped us rent a car and I would recommend renters take advantage of that option if available - the process was very easy and the jeep was perfect for the island. This property and its owners are terrific and if you get the opportunity to stay here do it!
Recently stayed at this amazing cabin-like property and loved it. It's well off the beaten path without noise from passing cars or city, and with views of the ocean, the mountains, and stars.Gail provided great instructions for getting groceries and met us on site for check in. She was easily reachable for anything we needed, but the house is well stocked with everything from towels, to blankets, and fans. We never needed a thing. There is a fully stocked kitchen with an amazing center island cooking surface that makes the the kitchen the main gathering area, as it should be! We cooked in more than we ate out. And a great deck that leads down to a fantastic all day sun pool area. The house opens up fully to capture the ocean breezes, which can blow pretty hard! You're close enough to hear the waves crashing and whistling frogs sing all night long. Keep in mind this is a 30 minute drive through windy, island roads and driving is not for the faint of heart. Taxis would have to be ordered ahead of time if you don't have a car. But if you're good driving, it's well worth it to be able to get away from it all. There's more to do on the island than can be fit into a week, but we found ourselves having lazy mornings enjoying the breeze and the tropical rain bursts. It's an amazing island, an exceptional property, and we can't say enough good about it. There's no doubt you'll enjoy it as much as we did! Signed, The "how soon can we go back" family of 4.
This place is so cool, so much character and just a beautiful relaxing spot to spend the weekend
This is a rustic villa built by the owners, there is so much charm to the place, funky bathrooms, wide open spaces, light and airy. We loved the pool, the bbq and the large deck area was perfect to enjoy the beautiful view. Even when your inside you have the element of being outdoors hearing the waves and the wind. Gail was a wonderful host, she met us at the property with the key and gave us all the information we needed to know, and was very flexible with check in/out times, we were very grateful for that. Thank you for a wonderful weekend! We would definitely be back!
Our family of 5 includes my husband and I and our three children ranging in age from 7to 14. We enjoy entertaining and it is for that reason we have decided to open our home to others to enjoy it as much as we do.
We believe when people come on vacation they want to relax and enjoy what Grenada has to offer. We will gladly assist you with suggestions on things to do and places to visit. We are also available to handle issues that may arise while on your stay. But I think most importantly we will respect your privacy to do as you choose while you are on the island without being too intrusive.
We are operators of a local fruit smoothie business on the island, Native Fruit Food & Fruit, along with an Eatery, Options, in the south of the island in addition to a jeep rental business.
We look forward to the opportunity to meet new and interesting people from around the world through airbnb.
