Une maison confortable et historique située à l'intérieur des murs du château d'Óbidos, un endroit parfait pour se détendre, renouer avec la nature, l'art et la culture ...
avec un beau jardin panoramique et une piscine gonflable, parfaite pour se rafraîchir pendant les chaudes journées ...

Belle maison au centre du village d'Óbidos, à l'intérieur des murs du château, nommée "Casa do Candeeiro" qui signifie "La maison de la lampe".

La maison est ancienne mais rénovée, avec trois chambres, une salle de bains et une cuisine modernes, un salon avec cheminée, terrasse et jardin avec barbecue et vue panoramique sur le château.

La vue est fantastique, endroit très confortable, au centre du château d'Óbidos.

Les visiteurs trouveront une maison pleine de lumière, une grande énergie avec un environnement paisible, spécialement pendant la nuit.

La maison est entourée de toutes sortes d'attractions à l'intérieur des murs du château, tels que musées, monuments, restaurants, bars, magasins de souvenirs, visites guidées, églises historiques, etc.

Il y a aussi un agenda culturel, qui comprend des expositions, des concerts, des performances, et pendant certaines périodes des années, des événements incroyables se développent à l'intérieur du village, tels que le marché médiéval, le festival du chocolat, le village de Noël, etc.

A l'intérieur du village il y a un petit supermarché, et à 5 minutes à pied des murs il y a un grand supermarché avec toutes sortes de produits ...

Inside castle walls

This was a great stay. The apartment was lovely, roomy and well equipped. The host was very responsive and helped us to find the place and orient us to the apartment as well as the area. He sent short videos that explained how to use the utilities in the apartment.

Amazing stay

Wonderful stay , my wife and I an our 2 teen daughters . Everyone loved it . Plenty of room , great property outside to relax and right in the castle walls. While we did not get to meet Rodrigo in person anything we needed he answered via phone or text almost instantly which was awesome. He helped us out with everything from restaurants to how and where to visit . Would definitely stay again . We had a car and the driving and parking was a little confusing at first but once you figure it out it is very easy again Rodrigo was there on the phone to help us . A must stay if you are in the area

great location inside castle walls

Rodrigo was an excellent host providing great directions and meeting us at the rental to show us around and providing helpful video instructions for all appliances. The bed was extremely comfortable, the backyard was a great place to relax during the short window of sunshine while we were there. Rodrigo's restaurant suggestions were spot on. We found Obidos to be charming, especially after most tourists were gone for the day. Walking through the quiet streets after dark was like going back in time. We took day trips to Peniche and Nazarre, both wonderful spots an easy drive away. This was a peaceful stop after time in busy Lisbon. Obrigada!

Great spot for a family

Amazing spot for exploring Óbidos! Our 2 year old loved the garden and the hamac. The house was very clean and Rodrigo is such a thoughtful and considerate host.

A stay to remember

We loved our six nights in the Obidos Castle. We thoroughly enjoyed day trips to the beach, Peniche, Fatima, Batalha, wine tasting and more. The castle are is busy during the day, but so peaceful at night. Rodrigo was the best host I have had (among many rentals on 3 continents). He met us to show us around and was very helpful in helping us both feel at home and explore the region. This 300 year old house was quirky but charming. Don’t hesitate to book!

Family vacation in Obidos

The location was great. Close to castle gate for easy check in, wonderful views from back private garden and a short walk to all the shops and restaurants. Such a unique property inside the castle walls. Rodrigo was great, very responsive to all our questions.

Amazing home within a Castle

This beautiful historic home situated within the castle walls in Obidos exceeded our expectations. The home has spacious and full of old world charm and has a lovely & very scenic backyard to relax in when done exploring the old Castle town of Obidos. We would love to visit again one day.

Everything I hoped it would be!

I had a few technical issues with service which made it a bit frustrating but Rodrigo was very gracious and helped us through the entire check in making sure we were completely set up. Everything was very well appointed and clean and the back yard was so relaxing and beautiful! We loved our stay and would easily recommend it for a stay that transports you to another world! Amazing Time In Obidos

The property was amazing. Close proximity to the castle, cute little patio, nice garden. The rooms were large. The host was amazing! I even met his wonderful mother who loaned me an umbrella. Couldn't ask for anything more of a property.

Perfect Experience, definitely in the top 3 places ever stayed

Wow, so amazing! Rodrigo was so helpful with a short-notice reservation, and the only sad part is that we were not able to stay longer and enjoy everything available in the home! Perfect location, close to everything inside the castle walls, and so peaceful and quiet, it was the best sleep I had in a long time! If you stay here, plan on a garden picnic, and watching a fun movie with a small fire crackling behind you! Unforgettable! Bravo! I will always stay here when I return to Obidos, and invite friends to book as well :-)

Six stars! Great place for couple or family

If I could rate this 6 stars, I would! Located just inside the Medieval wall surrounding the town of Obidos, the apartment was easily accessible from one of the entrances. Our gracious host, Rodrigo was an excellent communicator prior to our arrival and helped us with our luggage and getting settled. He even offered to make a dinner reservation for us which we greatly appreciated. A very comfortable bed, a cozy living room / dining area with fireplace and plenty of firewood, a well equipped kitchen, lovely modern tiled, new bathroom with lots of hot water. The apartment has been lovingly maintained with all the comforts and only enhanced our experience of this not to be missed Medieval Town. Highly recommend!

Lovely Fairytale Stay

We loved the magical experience of stepping back in time in this 300 year old home that has been lovingly upgraded to meet the comforts of the 21st century. Tastefully blended with contemporary art while maintaining old world charm, the home meanders and winds much like the town. The backyard is a lovely place to take a day off from walking on cobblestones swaying in the hammock watching the clouds go by and gazing at the fairytale castle walls and charming neighboring homes. Rodrigo is a perfect host, communicating promptly with kindness. I wish we could have stayed longer and hope to come back.

Our Stay in the Castle

We had a fantastic stay in our castle on the hill. It was a fun few days staying inside the castle walls and we especially loved wandering the roads toward the end of the day when the crowds had left. Rodrigo the property owner was fantastic to work with. He was on the phone with us as we drove into Obidos, even guiding us on where to park. He even assisted us in fabulous dinner reservations. The apartment is darling and so very cool. We even had a horse drawn carriage drive right underneath our open windows. Only in Obidos. There were only two of us but there is lots of room for a family to enjoy. There is a beautiful little yard that we could have spent the entire week reading and just enjoying. If you are thinking of staying here do it. You will love it. Such a unique experience.

Highlight of Our Trip

Staying in Óbidos was the highlight of our trip, and it should have never happened. Our scheduled VRBO did not give us entry and was unresponsive. I messaged a couple places last minute to see if anyone could help and was quickly accommodated by the incredibly gracious hosts here. This is the only VRBO I've ever stayed at that felt like a home. There are ample kitchen supplies, living plants, interesting pieces of art and decor, and a full patio garden that is obviously cared for. I had considered this place before booking but didn't because of the one bathroom. Knowing I was traveling with three teens means getting out of the house is always a challenge. I shouldn't have worried. Maybe we didn't get out quite as quickly, but it didn't matter. Right out the front door is an incredibly rich community to explore. Shops, history, and just a beautiful setting to enjoy at your leisure. I was perfectly happy to wander while the kids took all the time they wanted. I'm glad my original plans didn't work out. It turned what would have been a challenging experience into an absolute joy, and I thank the hosts and housekeeping staff whole heartedly for that.

Lovely stay

The apartment is in an old house in an ancient walled city . So you have to expect some quirkiness . The inlaid wooden floors were gleaming and the balcony doors opening to the street was charming . When the horse drawn cart walked by you stepped back in time . This house is located within the walls but a bit away from the bustle of the retail area. It is an easy 100 mts. Away . The furnishings were electric and a bit out of character but imagine they were from Asian travels . The bathroom is a bit of a let down . While clean it had an accordion door and really could Use some updates. The kitchen tiny bit functional . The best part was the little patio garden where we spent our mornings and evenings. The back garden with lime trees and some grass area to stretch out . Rodrigo was very attentive and responded to my requests immediately. Overall a charming stay in a beautiful setting
