In Swansboro's historic district, this cottage built by a sea captain, exudes charm + nostalgia while boasting the comfort of modern amenities. It underwent a total renovation in 2024. On the waterfront of the Intracoastal Waterway + adjacent to the historical landmark Poor Man's Hole, it offers direct water access on two sides with pier and boat lift. Adjacent to the restaurants + special attractions of the downtown, this is a rare opportunity to stay in a historic yet transformed modern gem.
Adorable little cottage in downtown Swansboro. Cute shops and restaurants walking distance. About 10 minute drive to Emerald Isle beach. Highly recommend
Was a beautiful spot to stay and the town had plenty of shopping and dining options. The host left an amazing welcome packet that had good information on where to eat and where to go.
Over the years, we have stayed in several vacation homes in the mountains, cities, etc. but this was the best and most relaxing cottage. Beautifully decorated and inviting cottage with all amenities, Shops & restaurants within short walking distance along with a quiet neighborhood to stroll. The area is very dog friendly. We took advantage of the outside fire pit area & fishing pier. My husband caught numerous pin, black sea bass and puffer off their private fishing pier while I sat in the swinging bench under the live oak trees. Even the king size bed was comfortable. When we stayed at other places, even hotels, we would leave with back pain due to uncomfortable mattresses; not here! And Jordan is a gracious host answering my texts and providing guidance even before arriving at the cottage. We plan to return soon to the Friendly City by the Sea ! Restaurants/eateries we patroned & highly recommend: Cigna Italiano, By the Bridge restaurant, Church Street Market & Pub, Giovanni Bagels
This property was beautiful! Everything looked exactly as pictured, and the decoration was gorgeous. We loved the location as we had access to our own pier and were literally only a 3 minute walk from the little downtown. The check in process was super easy, and the hosts had left a few things for us like hygiene products, wine, popcorn, and coffee pods. Being only 15 minutes from Emerald Isle was lovely, and we did the Lady Swan Sunset cruise which boarded only 3 minutes from our house.
