Mountain Heir, located between Boone and West Jefferson, is easily accessible from Highways 421 and 221. The Blue Ridge Parkway is approximately one mile from the cabin, offering convenient access to scenic overlooks and hiking trails. Boone is ten miles from the cabin, with access to many attractions, including Appalachian State University, parks, and the Boone Golf Course. West Jefferson, a quaint mountain town, is thirteen miles away and offers local shops, restaurants, and the famous Ashe County Cheese. The Ashe County park features public tennis and basketball courts, along with a large playground. Enjoy a glass of wine and live music at Old Barn Winery or play a round of golf at Mountain Air Golf Course, both about fifteen minutes from the home. Several hiking trails are located just minutes away at EB Jeffress Park and Todd Island Park. Float the river, or rent a canoe from Zaloo's Canoes, twenty minutes away. The town of Blowing Rock is about thirty minutes away and offers skiing, shopping, restaurants, and a community park.

Mountain Heir is a charming cabin in the gated Cedar Crossing Community, offering the perfect blend of relaxation and recreation. In the home, beautiful tongue-and-groove walls and vaulted ceilings that add warmth to the space. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame the stone gas fireplace, providing natural light to the open main floor. The living area features a large sectional situated around the fireplace and TV, a cozy environment perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring the High Country. The dining area is open to the living room and has seating for eight guests around the large table. The spacious kitchen features stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, and a bar seating area that accommodates up to three guests. Sliding glass doors leading from the great room access the spacious, wrap-around deck, featuring a gas grill for meals at the outdoor dining table. Enjoy the crisp mountain air with your morning coffee in the comfortable seating area.

Downstairs, an additional living area and game room provide ample space for the family to spread out and enjoy family game nights. Play pool, foosball, the arcade machine, or ping pong in the adjacent garage. The game room has a full-size futon for an extra sleeping spot. The expansive lower deck features a hot tub, perfect for relaxing after hiking or skiing. Take in the mountain views from multiple sitting areas while sharing tales of your adventures with family and friends. Cedar Crossing Community offers a range of community amenities for guests to enjoy. Take a walk around the pond, or enjoy lunch in the covered picnic area. The fire pit is awaiting your marshmallows and chocolates for s'mores.

This two-level log cabin can accommodate up to twelve guests in five sleeping areas. The master bedroom on the main floor features a king bed, a TV, an en-suite bath, and access to the deck with a covered sitting area. The queen bedroom on the main floor features a TV and provides access to the deck, which includes a covered sitting area. The third bedroom on the main floor accommodates two in twin bunk beds. A shared bathroom is available for guests' use. Downstairs, two additional bedrooms, one featuring a queen bed and a twin daybed with a twin trundle, and the other with two twin beds, share a third full bathroom.

Mountain Heir features WiFi, central heating and air conditioning, as well as a laundry room. Dogs are not permitted at the cabin. Please note that a Ring doorbell camera is located at the main entry door. Access to the home is via a gravel driveway with a level parking area that accommodates up to four vehicles. Three steps lead to the covered entrance. AWD or 4WD, and tire chains are recommended for winter travelers.
