We had the best time here ! It is perfect for a large group . The house is stocked with everything you could possibly need . Everything was as described .. we will come back here !
We had such a great time staying at this VRBO. It was great location to drive to Sugarbush, grab something at the grocery store or stop at Lawsons. Driveway is steep and needed to be plowed for us to get up, but a plow guy was very close by and able to do that for us within an hour. Very cozy cabin, great for big groups.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Glenn's house. It worked very well for our family with four adult children and their partners. It was spacious, with great views of Sugarbush and Mount Ellen. We really enjoyed sitting out on the porch. The kitchen was spacious and well equipped.
Great option for a large group, about 20 minutes from sugarbush slopes. Great fireplace, lots of wood, good beds, lots of space to spread out. Driveway can be tough in winter if you don't have a properly equipped vehicle (snow tires and/or AWD)
Went up for foliage weekend with my sons and grandkids and we had a blast!!!
This home is terrific for all ages with 5 bedrooms and wonderfully big open space for many folks of many ages to gather! There were 5 adults and 4 children and it worked beautifully. House location was terrific with a beautiful view and is close to wonderful desirable sites and venues.
We had a great time staying here, it was super easy to access, and communicate with Glen. The driveway is steep so if you do not have a reliable car in the snow, be careful. The rooms were clean, the kitchen had everything we needed to fuel up before skiing. We built a fire and it was so coxy/relaxing. I would book here agin.
Great house for two families to share. There is plenty of room for everyone. The fireplace is a wonderful spot for everyone to come together.
Driveway is difficult for cars without 4 wheel drive.
Had a short but enjoyable family vacation at Glenn's property. Grandparents got the master suite and the rest of us were downstairs. It was very comfortable and the views are great! Waitsfield is conveniently located at the foot of the hill. The Von Trapp store sold local meat and cheese which was really cool. Glenn was accommodating with check in and check out times.
We were in the area for our sonâs graduation from Norwich University. The 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms allowed our group plenty of space to spread out. Our older guests were grateful for a bedroom suite on the main floor. The large dining table was perfect for a celebratory meal after graduation. The views of Sugar Bush canât be beat! Communication with the landlord was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay very much!
This home was exactly as advertisedâŠplenty of dishes, paper towels, toilet paper. Owner was super helpful with quick responses. Driveway is tough but he warned us of that⊠we had a great weekend celebrating my nieces wedding down the hill.
We enjoyed a long weekend with good friends and family. The house suited our needs well. It was a good layout and we all had our space. Well stocked kitchen. Carpets were very tired, the basement smells stale but once we opened the windows and ran the humidifiers all was fine. Beds relatively comfortable. Beautiful deck with gorgeous views. Plenty of parking!! Glenn was very responsive. Would stay again!
This house was perfect for us, we had a mix of adults (40s), young adults (early 20s), and young teens. The kitchen was well stocked with any pot, pan, or utensil we needed, down to the flat top for the stove! And a gas grill! Gorgeous mountain views from the living room/ dining room! Large deck that was perfect for morning coffee and watching sunsets in the evening. Love love love the house! One of the young teens loved ringing the gong when meals were ready :).
We had 3 families (6 adults and 6 kids) stay to ring in the new year in this beautiful home. The location was about 20 minutes to Sugarbush where we skied every day and under 10 min to the center of Waitsfield. The spacious living room had ample space for everyone and the dining room accommodated all 12 of us for dinner each night.
The kitchen was well appointed with everything we needed.
Great communication with owner regarding some changes in the linen service prior to our arrival.
Looking forward to returning next year!
Our family of 9 had a great time at this home for skiing at Sugarbush. The kitchen was well-stocked and had a nice island for apres-ski appetizers, although a bit cramped for more than 4 people.
Bedding was great, plenty of room for everyone. Pull out couch is best for youngsters - anyone more than 120lbs will feel the bar.
Grill on deck was great for cooking up New Years steaks.
Steep driveway had plenty of sand/salt after a snow storm and we got our Honda CRVs up with no problem.
We would stay here again and recommend it for a large group.
Our family enjoyed our stay in this hilltop nest! We had snow all weekend to ski at Mad River Glen. The views from the wall of windows are spectacular! Great layout with plenty of beds for sleeping, awesome stone fireplace. Itâs true that the bathrooms and kitchen are a bit dated, but everything worked well, and everything you could need may be found in this well-loved family retreat. The owner even directed us to some sleds for the kids! Communication with Glenn was exceptional. We had a few minor questions and he responded immediately. A gracious and kind host. Would love to come back.
Really enjoyed our stay at the chalet. The location couldn't be better, with beautiful views from the picture windows in the living area and porch, and only ~10 minutes drive from town. The house comfortably fit the 8 of us (with room to spare), and Glenn communicated everything super clearly so we had everything we needed during our stay.
The only suggestion I'd have is it'd be great if the house came with linens/towels and soap/shampoo. No fault of the current listing as it's clear these aren't offered (and Glenn sent a friendly reminder in advance) but it definitely made the stay a bit more challenging for us given we were all flying in from across the country.
Overall had a great stay and would happily come back next time I'm in the area!
The accommodations were spacious and comfortable for our extended family of 10. We love the large deck with beautiful views, where we spent the majority of our time. The humidity on the lower level might have been better addressed with a stronger dehumidifier. There were hooks for a hammock on the deck, but no hammock in sight. The landlord indicated he would look into getting one. That would make for a nice nap on the deck. Overall, we were very pleased. Thank you.
Nice location for Sugarbush and other central Vermont sights!
Overall we were very happy with the house, especially the check in and out process. My only issue is the clarity of the online listing. When I selected this property I thought linens and towels were included based on a statement on the listing, but I apparently missed the smaller line on the room specific page that said they were not. We had to scramble before we left home to bring towels and sheets for our guests once I received the email from the host reminding us they weren't provided. I would recommend making the listing clearer that towels and sheets are NOT provided, up front and not buried in the listing. While it might be easy for people driving to bring these, it was a bit difficult for us given that we flew from Florida, and our guests came from Nebraska and Texas. Overall, it was great place to stay with incredible views of the Sugarbush ski slopes, and excellent centralized location. I would certainly stay here again!
