Great home with a lot of room

For our group of 12 the two homes were perfect. Loved the outdoor space, and the location was great. The host was very friendly and responsive. Would absolutely recommend and stay again.

Comfortable and Convenient Stay in the Heart of St. Louis

We had a great experience at this property during our trip to St. Louis. The location was perfect—close to downtown, great restaurants, and all the main attractions like the Arch and Forest Park. The house itself was clean, stylish, and felt very secure. Parking was easy, and the neighborhood had a great local vibe. The host was responsive and made check-in super smooth. Whether you’re visiting for a weekend getaway or a longer trip, this is a great home base to explore the city.

Upon checking in we discovered a broken window in the unit. To try and avoid getting blamed for the issue, we immediately sent a picture over to the host. He has since now charged me for the broken window which I didn’t not cause. He is not being reasonable about the matter at all.

Birthday weekend getaway

Friday -Sunday trip for a game and a weekend out on the town. Property has some age but that seemed to be the theme in the neighborhood. We enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t hesitate a return trip to the property.

This is a place for getting ready and going out for the evening and coming back to sleep. We had grandparents, kids and grand kids in our group. We planned on cooking meals. There is limited pots and pans. There is not any condiments, not even salt or pepper. The back yard was beautiful with the furniture. We sat outside in the evening. There was plenty of parking for our group.

Nice backyard space

We enjoyed our stay overall! The backyard space was lovely, and surprisingly free of bugs. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. Check-in was easy, and the owners were very quick to respond to any questions.A few notes for future guests: The upstairs rooms stayed pretty warm, so you may want to bring your own pillows and a fan. The hot water took a bit of work to get going upstairs. The location is near plenty of great gay bars, but it’s not within walking distance to the ballpark.

!!DO NOT RENT!!Pictures were very deceiving. Lots of issues with the property. One shower didn’t work, the sink would constantly get backed up and would cause water to drain from the dishwasher and FLOOD the whole kitchen floor. Beds were COVERED with hair (looked like dog hair) and dirt. I could continue to go on but don’t waste your money. The host was quick to respond but they did nothing to fix the issues that were presented to them.

Used both buildings for our retreat. It was worth what we paid for it. The building could use a little TLC. But it was still in pretty good shape. The managing company was easy to work with and got back to me really fast when I had questions.

We had a ball at this home. Everything we needed was there. It was a little hot at times but hey! It was a hot day! Other than that we had no complaints. It was in a great location. We even walked across the street to continue our fun night because we were mindful of neighbors. So we shut our noise down at 10ish and continued at the nice bar across the street. This place had plenty of room and beds to accommodate our party of 10. This is truly a great spot for a bridal or groom party to kick back, chill and have fun. I will definitely book a stay here again just to get away from the norm.

Review before you stay

We stayed there on weekend and the bars across the street play live loud music until midnight. If light sleepers, may not want this property. If you enjoy music, then good place to stay. Upstairs bedrooms were very warm, air conditioning unit downstairs does not cool them. Back patio nice area to hang out (we had both units so didn’t have to share back yard). One unit had water leaks from rain at kitchen back door. Ice makers on both units don’t work.

Online Listing Deceiving

The online listing was deceiving. The house was not very clean. Some of the sheets in one unit had dirt on them. The shower curtain was dirty. There were layers of dust on the ceiling fans and light fixtures. There were dishes in the dishwashers. The washer and dryer were dirty. On the positive side, it had a nice location near the zoo, arch, and some bars.

Hot Mess in the GROVE

The check in process was as to be expected. The details and codes to get into both sides were emailed promptly at 3pm.What I report hereon is for both sides of the property as I had reserved the entire building for 10 men: Once we got inside, it was clear that the the property had not been cleaned after the previous guests had departed. The beds were not made (gross long black hair on one of the beds), the bathroom towels were on the floor, trash cans full, leftover food on the counters, gross dirty dishes were in the dishwasher that had not been cycled.The absolute worst part was that temperature inside the property was about the same as it was outside.... Missouri in late July: 95 - 98 F!I had been in written communication with a "DAN" through the VRBO site only. I immediately emailed and then left Dan a message on the phone number listed in property details.The email response seemed to be AI generated. I was requested to send pictures. Responses were slow so we all jumped in and started to clean the place ourselves.Finally, a nice lady came and cleaned up both sides of the property. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy!
