Cette maison au bord du lac constitue le cadre idéal pour une famille ou plusieurs couples pour profiter de journées bien remplies, de soirées de détente au coin du feu, regarder le coucher du soleil ou dîner dans l'un des meilleurs restaurants de la région, situés à quelques minutes. Descendez jusqu’au quai et profitez de la belle plage de sable fin, parfaite pour nager et jouer.

La maison consiste en une maison en rondins de cèdre rouge avec une cuisine, une salle de bain, une chambre à coucher, une grande salle / salle à manger et un loft confortable avec de nombreux sièges pour des réunions détendues. Une annexe a été construite en 2009 et comprend une buanderie complète, un hall d’entrée, une suite parentale avec foyer au gaz et télévision à écran plat, une douche à l’italienne et 2 chambres avec une salle de bains Jack et Jill à l’étage.

La maison accueille de 8 à 10 personnes très confortablement. Vous trouverez le décor Northwoods, meubles en cuir et l'ambiance et les équipements que vous attendez dans la maison de premier ordre «Up North».

L'emplacement est parfait. Une courte promenade et vous êtes sur le système de sentiers. À 5 km des magasins de Walker et à seulement 5 minutes des meilleurs restaurants de la région, Boulders. Vous trouverez beaucoup à faire dans la ville de Walker avec l'hôtel historique et magnifiquement reconstruit Chase on the Lake, Reeds Sporting Goods, restaurants de la région et des boutiques spécialisées pour plaire à tous.

La maison est située à seulement quelques mètres des rives de la magnifique baie de Kabekona. Accès à Walker Bay et Leech Lake est un rapide 2 ou 3 minutes à l'est de l'autre côté de la baie. Ne manquez pas une expérience que vous n'oublierez pas!

La maison est à seulement 3 miles de plus de 100 miles de sentiers pour la motoneige. Sortez votre cabane à poisson (locations disponibles à proximité) de la cabane de la baie de Kabekona où la pêche au doré vous attend!

Perfect Ice Fishing Weekend

We had a great weekend in this cabin, it was equipped with everything we needed!!! Monica was fast to respond to all messages I sent her before, during, and after the trip. There was plenty of room for 8 adults for a long weekend getaway. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this cabin to anyone.

Family vacation

We have stayed at this rental multiple times and have been impressed every time. The cabin is gorgeous and the owners are a delight to work with. We are coming back in August. I can’t wait to get back to Leech Lake. Thank you for sharing your beautiful property with us

We’ve been staying there the last couple years during Deer Hunting. We love going up there every year! The host are great and very accommodating. I highly recommend it if you’re looking for a comfortable place to stay up north.

Summer vacation with kids and dogs

We loved the beautiful north woods cabin right on the shoreline with amazing sunsets. Our 2 English setters also had a blast. The kitchen was very well stocked, with everything you can imagine. Hope to be back another time!

This is our 2nd time staying at this VRBO! The cabin and lake is absolutely gorgeous. Monica is a wonderful host and a pleasure to deal with. We are already planning our next trip. Can’t recommend this place enough. It works out perfectly for our family.

Old Crony Annual Golf Outing

We have stayed at VRBO listed properties all over northern Mn lake country for years. There is finally unanimous consensus amongst 8-70 something Yr old dudes that we have found our "go to" for future events. The pics and description of this beauty are spot on. It is a majestic place. The "extras" as far as provisions provided however are above and beyond anything I have ever experienced in 35 yrs of renting vacation spots. Finally, Monica is professional, responsive and a delight to do business with.

Second year in a row - love it!

Our second annual Labor Day gathering for our family. We just love this place. Gorgeous point on a lovely bay of Leech Lake which is perfect for relaxing, swimming, playing bocce ball & Frisbee, and just hanging out. The lake house is beautifully appointed with everything you need. Highly recommended!

Lovely Family Weekend

We had a wonderful long weekend with my family. There were 4 couples and each family was comfortable in their own room. The kitchen was easy to use and had all the tools and equip. that we needed so our meals were really nice too. There were good hang-out spaces for folks to take a break when the hustle and bustle of the larger group was tiring. It was a lovely family weekend and the location and house were just right for us. Thank you.

AMAZING! BETTER THAN THE PICTURES!

This is truly a very special place, perfect for any and all interests. Location is perfect. Fishing, biking, walking, shopping, eating, kayaking, reading, games, puzzles, movies, smores by the fire! We stayed there the month of September & would not hesitate to book again! It will be our 1st choice. Great communication with Monica! We cannot say enough good about this home. Has everything you need, fully stocked & we highly recommend.

Nice place to stay close to water!

We had to leave a night early due to family. Wondering if we can get a night refund or a night stay in the future? Other then that is was nice and we enjoyed it. I think it could be cleaner lots of animal hair laying around.

Snowmobile get away

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property! We had 2 families with 4 adults and 5 teenagers. The cabin was spacious and well appointed. We enjoyed the close proximity to the snowmobile trail. It was a little tight getting the snowmobile trailers turned around in the yard. The owner was very quick to respond when we had trouble with the door lock and reset the code for us. Overall great experience and would definitely stay here again!

All was wonderful at the home.

We had a great winter escape. Home was cozy and spacious, very comfortable. All nice amenities but I think it advertised as queen beds and they were double beds in all but the master. So cozier than expected. Down side was the check out time of 10:00 am and the door code stopped working at 8:30am. Found this out when my husband was loading the car and could not get back in the house, luckily I could let him back in. Be wary of this if you have smaller children, you could get locked out and have to call the owner to get back in to continue packing. I recommend the door code not be changed until actual check out time at 10:00 am please. Overall a great stay!!

Wonderful Cabin and great location

We just got back from a wonderful week at The Point Cabin. The lake was beautiful, the yard and lakeshore area was perfect for relaxing and playing, and the cabin was perfect! The kitchen is very well stocked with dishes, utensils, and appliances, the beds are comfortable and the cabin is very large to accommodate a larger group. It is a perfect mix of new and old and has a very comfy up-north feel while still having all the conveniences of home and is very clean. Our group ranged in ages from 1 to 76 years old, the accommodations were great for every age. There is a boat launch very close and we even had great fishing off the dock! Ensure if you are here in the summer and have a boat you explore the channel between Kabekona Bay and Lake Benedict as it was very beautiful and fun to explore! The owners were some of the best I have worked with in terms of homes I have rented before. They were very friendly and helpful in answering any questions we had. I have a few tips for those with young children...do not forget a baby monitor and consider bringing a baby gate! We did not bring a baby monitor and it would have been helpful as the kids (1 and 3 years old) slept in the upstairs bedrooms in the very back of the house and it was hard to hear them if we were downstairs. Also there are 2 sets of stairs to the 2nd story and the front set of stairs is not very kid friendly (and of course our kids loved playing on it). I'd consider bringing a baby gate to put between the front and back sections of the loft and something for the bottom of the wooden stairs.

Great Place for a Winter Getaway

Walker MN is always a delight and when you get to stay in a place like this it makes it that much better. The accomodations were as advertised and the location was beautiful. We would definitely go back.

Perfect family lake getaway

After having our own lake place for 20 years we had to give it up about 10 years ago as our parents aged. This was a chance to get our family together again for Labor Day at a gorgeous Minnesota lake and it exceeded all our expectations. A magical stay at a wonderful lake home.

3rd trip…

This review is about a month late. But our trip this year was our extended families 3rd trip to this lovely cabin. I can’t say enuf about the location and the accommodations; Niki and Monica have a very wonderful location and cabin that they graciously share with their guests. We are so appreciative of them opening up this gem for the rest of us… We’ll be back!!!

Wonderful!

Great property with amazing view of the bay. It is a really nice cabin, with plenty of space and supplied with everything you need for a relaxing stay up north. We rented a pontoon boat with sea legs and it worked our great with the docks. The owners were very responsive and great to work with.

The Point Cabin was purchased by our parents in 2000 after more than 15 years of staying at resorts on Leech Lake. Our parents restored the cabin to like-new condition and added on in 2008. Sadly, our mother passed away in 2010 and life took our father in a different direction. In 2018 we had the opportunity to purchase the family cabin. We look forward to not only our family continuing to make memories in our beloved home, but for your family to make lifelong memories here as well!

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

After vacationing in the Walker / Leech Lake area for many years, falling in love with the area and making many friends we decided we wanted to own a property here so that we could spend more time enjoying all that we had come to love. After much looking we chose a charming red cedar log “cabin”. It was a private refuge with a secluded, calm “up-north” feeling. Over the years we remodeled and finally added on in 2009 creating an amazing retreat. Life then took us in a different direction and we didn’t have the time to spend at the lake that we once had. We decided to maintain our family cabin and make it available to others as a remarkable rental property.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

The Point Cabin, as we call it, is uniquely situated on a small point of Kabekona Bay affording incredible, panoramic views of this beautiful Northern Minnesota lake. You will enjoy a 180 degree view of the bay. A mere 25 feet from the water the cabin provides an intimacy with the lake that few other properties can. Less than 10 steps and you are on the dock. There is also a beautiful lawn to enjoy lawn games, a fire ring for the marshmallow roast or relaxing and telling your favorite Minnesota ghost stories. Cast a line from the dock, take a swim in the sand bottom swim area or read a book in the hammock. A short walk and you can access the area's trail system or rent a boat/jet ski and enjoy fishing or water sports on this protected bay. Prefer shopping or dining? The Point Cabin is located about 3 miles from downtown Walker and even closer to one of the area’s finest restaurants, Boulders (Reservations recommended!). Whatever you decide to do on your vacation, this is the place to do it.
