The unit was very clean and sizable. It was well stocked with bedding, dishes, and miscellaneous. The check-in and check-out process was flawless. It's a really nice place and an ideal location with multiple restaurants a very short walk away. I was very content with my decision.

This exact room is located perfectly for morning and afternoon sun to not be beating directly down on you. The room itself was spacious and accommodated everything we needed. Even on the first floor you have a nice view. The only real issue we had was the screen door was a little difficult to open and close. We had to fight with it but nothing horrible. We will be trying to get this exact room for our next stay

The sofa bed is very hard to get set up and very uncomfortable. I've stayed in this property for two years and it has been the same.

Our condos are have fully equipped kitchens and are all individually rated to provide the best possible information prior to booking for our guests. Reviewer Comments: Our original room was the second one in from the ocean and had a decent view (over the berm) from the balcony and the front door. Unfortunately the A/C didn't work so they moved us to another room further inland and the view was mostly parking lot and dumpster from the front door. Didn't like it much. Proximity to the beach is nice but the units are very small. And noisy in the unit they moved us to closer to the street!! Trucks, trucks, trucks!! Customer service was top notch, though. Thank you to everyone that made the transition very easy.

We understand that being switch to a different condo is never ideal. This unit is typically a higher-end rental with a slightly improved view compared to the unit initially booked. As for the nearby trucks mentioned, we completely understand how that could have been unsettling. While the trucks were part of a city project at a neighboring park—and not on Sea Cabins property—we realize it’s not the beachside serenity you were expecting. We’re happy to share that the project is now nearly complete and should no longer impact future stays. We truly hope to have the opportunity to host you again and provide a more relaxing and memorable beach getaway.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property was adequate for a short stay. It was mostly clean. Supplied somewhat less than what we needed. For example, not enough silverware for a family of 4. Extremely small. The entire property has a view of the parking lot. The best view is from the coin operated laundry. Property not maintained as we are accustomed to; a pile of lawn refuse was piled up the entire stay taking away from much what would have been more convenient parking. Don't think we would stay again.

Please note that hurricane Matthew did create a lot of debris for the Isle of Palms and the town is still picking up all the downed trees and brush that the storm created. We hope that you will come back again hopefully not after a hurricane so you can see what beautiful landscaping the Sea Cabins normally has.

Location, location, location!!

Refrigerator freezer compartment had rusted shelving. Outside door was worn and cracked. One of the chairs on the balcony had a seat that was so stretched and worn that it should have been thrown out. Couch was a sleeper sofa and it was pretty much sunk in.For the positives it is on the first floor and you still have a view of the ocean. Easy access to the beach and pool as well as the laundry facility. All of the appliances worked and there were adequate kitchen utensils for us. The condo was clean.

Think Again!!!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This unit is very outdated! It needs serious attention and Island Realty should consider taking it off their rental program if the owners are not willing to upgrade some items. The couch is old, broken down, and disgusting. The mattress is old and VERY uncomfortable. The carpet is old and disgusting. We also found a marijuana roach on the bookshelf, so the unit was obviously not cleaned well. Island Realty was notified.We have been coming to IOP for 29 years. This is one of the worst units we have ever stayed in. Do your research on the units and trust the reviews! I had seen previous reviews but didn't think it could be that bad. Think again!

It's old...

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The entire complex smelled like mold and mildew. I could smell it coming up the stairs. It was very over powering once inside the room. The condo is obviously old and tired. It really needs some TLC and some deep cleaning. I appreciate the knick knacks, but if they aren't going to be dusted then it's better to get rid of them. The bathroom floor needs to be redone as well as the caulking. The window in the bedroom needs a pair of black out curtains; the blinds can't stop the light streaming in (makes it difficult to sleep). Also, the bedroom is very warm as compared to the rest of the condo. Thankfully, we found a box fax in the closet and put it to good use. Overall, we might be inclined to stay at this complex again, but definitely not this particular unit. It was just old and dirty; not well maintained.

Great location -- unit could use some TLC

Reviewer Comments: Starting with the positives, the unit is in a great location. You can walk right to the beach and are close to restaurants and a grocery store, which came in handy. The smart TVs were nice to have as well. The kitchen had all of the utensils and cookware you'll need. Also, I have to give a shoutout to the staff. We were traveling with a teething, sunburnt 10-month-old, and the staff was able to accommodate an early check-in. The check-in process was seamless and the staff were responsive when I reached out via text. As for the negatives, the unit itself could use some TLC. The couch in the unit needs to be replaced. It is a pullout couch, but I wouldn't wish a night's sleep on it on my worst enemy. I know couch beds aren't typically the most comfortable, but the springs in this one jab and prod you as soon as you sit down on it, and if you do sleep on it, don't even think about adjusting yourself. We had family staying in other units at the same time as we were here and those had been updated and were much nicer. The unit was as clean for the most part, but again, that couch. It had some stains that looked to be permanent at this point. There were also a couple of pieces of trash behind the couch from previous guests. If you're looking at this location, I’d recommend a different unit. There are other nicer first-floor options, or you can look to spend a little more to go up to the third floor where the view is incredible.We hope to return, but we will not come back to this unit.

When the heat didn't turn on-and the nights were very chilly, management brought us 2 space heaters. Also,they were very cooperative in giving us compensation. I would suggest putting a bar and a shelf in the shower.

My Happy Place!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: So glad to be back at Sea Cabins with the pier, beach, and ocean right there! We chose first floor with fewer steps to climb. We prefer more ocean view from the second level.Flew down from Canada, so no car. But, we knew we could walk to basic needs: grocery, restaurants, etc. Uber driver was great when required.Our condo had plenty of kitchen equipment. Balcony had four chairs!Only a couple things: LR carpet needed shampooing. BR window needed better coverage as outside night light shone onto our pillows. Lastly,the sofa cushions were too soft for us seniors. Not complaining... no snow or ice here. I had fun sketching and writing poetry when not enjoying pier or beach walks! Housekeeping staff were a big help! 🌴🌊👍💕
