Extremely Disturbing Stay â Hidden Cameras and Unacceptable CleanlinessReview:This was one of the most unsettling and disappointing experiences Iâve ever had in a rental. We discovered hidden surveillance cameras and speakers disguised inside light bulbs, which is a serious invasion of privacy and completely unacceptable.Beyond that, the cabin was filthy. There were dirty towels, dog hair all over the comforter, and hair in both the bath and shower. The fridge hadnât been cleaned or sanitized, and even the kitchen sink was grimy. It was clear that no proper cleaning or safety inspection had been done before our arrival. I would strongly caution anyone considering this property â the conditions were unhygienic, and the hidden recording devices made us feel unsafe.
We had an amazing visit to this property in the Nantahala national forest. The entire area is absolutely beautiful, but this rental is perfectly located next to a great lake to swim in, as well as perfectly lined up for star gazing. The house comes fully loaded with all the amenities, as well as a great hot top to soak in while you watch the stars at night. We can't wait to visit this rental again.
I was born and grew up in central Texas. I moved to Georgia for work and fell in love with the North Carolina mountains. I am fortunate to have this mountain home that I want to share with others when I'm not able to be there.
For work, I live in the city, but I love being able to get away from the hustle and bustle. What I love most is that as long as I bring food, I can park my car and not have to leave. There is plenty in the area to keep my challenged - water, mountains, wildlife sightings, astronomy on clear nights. It also gives me a great opportunity to disconnect from technology.
If you want lake and mountain options right outside the door, this is your place! If you want be able to disconnect from technology, this is a great option. Very little traffic.
