The place was very clean and comfortable. It was tastefully decorated. The location was very convenient.Hereâs are issues that we encountered. The bathroom is on an upper level. The staircase to reach the bathroom area is a very step climb and very narrow steps. The steepness and narrowness of the steps is to be expected in an older, historical home. However, we believe it should be shared with the potential renters about the multiple levels. It is definitely not up to todayâs standards. The reason we did not score this higher is that the renters who were adjacent to us were extremely loud and carried on well after 1:00 AM.Again, the place is well decorated and comfortable. Very clean and great attention to detail. Walls are very thin and if there are noisy renters adjacent to the unit, then prepare for a non-restful experience.
Location was great - right in the middle of all the activities you want to do in JT! Check in was simple and easy and everything was clearly communicated to us.
Geraldine was a great host. Everything inside the suite was top-of-the-line and antique furniture was beautiful bathroom was clean plenty of towels and it was very easy instructions to get in and out and you have your own private entry in the back which was very quiet.
Adorable setting, right in the heart of town! Shops nearby and lots of local life, restaurants and access to great views. Communication with host was on point and easy!
Stayed one night on September 27th, 2025. Was able to check in early and had bags personally delivered to our room. Once we finally got a hold of the owner Geraldine, she was very friendly and helpful. The room was very cozy and secluded and amenities were very good. Would not recommend for elderly or very obese people as the steps up to the bathroom were tight and steep but once you get there the bathroom was very clean and well maintained. Air conditioning worked very well and was needed as it hit 85 deg. F the day we were there.
Coffee machine Kurreg was also well equipped. Was able to leave our bags with the owner in her shop after checking out which was very helpful since we didnât have to haul them around the rest of the day until we left. Location was excellent as was within easy walking distance to all of the shops in Jim Thorpe.
My only complaint is that it didnât have a microwave oven. Overall though I would highly recommend this place even if a little pricey.
Lovely stay here. We are frequent Jim Thorpe visitors and have stayed in most places. This was one of the cleanest and coziest plus the location is perfect. Bed was comfy ( Slept like a baby) . Water pressure and temperature were great. Coffee was perfect. It was exactly what my wife and I needed for a quick getaway. Thank you so much for the great accommodations in such a grand home on Broadway. If the walls could talk :)
My husband and I plan a short trip every year for our anniversary. This was the perfect place. The location is right in the middle of town but also private. The host was so nice, we even ran into her in town and they pointed us in the direction of a delicious restaurant (Moya) where we had an amazing meal. Check in/out was super easy and the house was beautiful.
Very cute and comfortable place in the heart of Jim Thorpe. In walking distance to everything. Would absolutely stay again. Note: Bathroom is up a full set of stairs.
Place was clean and located right in town. Great for a stay during any of the festivals held in Jim Thorpe.
Parking is an issue. Make sure you look into it before your stay, do not rely on host for this information. The city's app didn't work so I had to use kiosk in train station parking lot every morning at 6am.
The bathroom is located at the top of a steep flight of stairs, very cute/unique but not noted in description and may not be right for everyone.
Communicating with host was a little frustrating. Had to send multiple messages back and forth.
The first morning there early in the the am, before light, daily, walk to parking lot to renew parking was in the total dark but a motion sensor light was installed for rest of stay.
Handyman was at/looking in front door around 9am of our last morning doing work on unit.
Wifi was cut off at 8am the day of checkout which also rendered tv useless. Check out was 11am.
This cute spot is located in the heart of Jim Thorpe, super convenient to everything. Communication was easy and Geraldine was very responsive. One thing to note, is that the bathroom is on the 3rd floor, while the bedroom is on the 2nd floor. We had a nice stay and would stay there again.
We had a fantastic stay! The room was spacious, comfortable, and beautifully decorated with a great sense of style. The location was perfect for walking around town, making it super convenient to explore. The host was incredibly responsive and helpful, which made the experience even better. I would definitely recommend this place!
