Mike is a nice guy. The place was very nice, area was nice with the beach right across the street. Id give a 5 star review but we didnt have hot water the entire time we were there. Having my wife and 3 daughters there did not mix well with not having hot water. Thats not to say that Mike didnt try to get us hot water though. He had a plumber onsite trying to get it fixed. Unfortunately it didnt work out that way. I would definitely stay there again, as long as there was hot water lol
Great place to get away and relax. Bass Bunk is a nicely renovated cabin with all the amenities of a condo.
Loved the individual gas grill, picnic bench, and fire pit for roasting marshmallows.
Just a short walk from our front door was a nice sandy beach for sunbathing, swimming, and boating.
Loon Lake is a bit removed from the hustle and bustle of Lake George, but only a short drive away from all the activities.
Walt and Heidi are caring hosts and responded quickly when any questions arose.
We made the decision to get away before the Fall arrived very late. Luckily, Lakeside at Loon Lake had a very nice 2Br, 2Bath, fireplace that heats up the whole cabin (really), gas grill, washer and dryer, well equipped kitchen, fire pit with free firewood, comfortable beds cabin available. Walt and Heidi were nice and readily reachable for questions. The other guests were quiet and friendly, and everyone was ready to help with fire pit fire building and grilling issues. It was a pleasure and so relaxing!!!
We stayed at this place for a week and enjoyed everything. The place was very clean and equipped good. The owner was very friendly and there was no problem to contact him any time.
We had a wonderful time with our five and four year old grandchildren. It was a nice quiet little get-a-way. Walt and Heidi are fantastic hosts! The beach and boat launch are very close. If you want a relaxing place to stay you will enjoy. Great time!
Wonderful experience! The cabin is very clean. A minute of walking to the beach. Sandy beach and clean nice temperature water in a lake for swimming. The place is great if you have young kids. Plenty of walking trails in an area. The host Walter is very helpful and always available. We definitely will come back!
Cabin was nicer than shown in photos & has a beautiful lake directly across the street. The RV park next door has a great camp store with delicious sandwiches & more flavors of soft serve ice cream than I'd ever seen. We had many enjoyable dinners in the local area restaurants, went on the Mohican full lake cruise from Bolton's Landing, did the Chester Challenge (had to do 6 out of 8 hikes in the area), had fun shopping at the Cross Roads general store, the Adirondack general store & also the Lazy Moose Garden Market, shopping in Bolton's Landing & browsing antique shops on a rainy day, & of course, you can head to Lake George Village for all that offers. Will definitely make a return visit!

The Lakeside at Loon Lake is a small family owned and operated Adirondack retreat located on the southern tip of Loon Lake. All of our cabins, suites and main house have been renovated with Post and Beam and knotty Pine to keep with that Adirondack lodge or cabin charm, yet still providing many of the amenities that one would expect to see in many updated vacation rentals. We are nestled in the beautiful and quiet Adirondack Mountains, but yet no more than 25 minutes from most all attractions. ALL OUR PROPERTIES ARE REGISTERED AND INSPECTED BY THE NYS DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH ALONG WITH OUR WATER SUPPLY. This give our guests that may be hesitant to use this type of booking PEACE OF MIND. :)
Loon Lake is one of the more beautiful lakes in the Adirondacks. It is fed by mountain streams as well as natural springs that keep the water moving all the time and in turns keeping it crystal clear. It is a small enough lake that is not commercialized, so this keeps the traffic on the lake to a minimum, but yet it is large enough to rent a boat and go skiing, tubing or fishing. There also is a beautiful sandy beach just a 100ft from the Lakeside that has a lifeguard on duty all summer.
