This cottage was a surprise gem! The pictures on the listing don't do it justice. The pictures show the lake cottage charm well, but we had no idea how many updated, modern features the cottage would have. From power outlets with USB chargers to incredible kitchen appliances, you will find both traditional lake charm and contemporary features. The owners were amazing and incredibly kind and responsive. The only thing that was a little unexpected from the listing was that we didn't realize the cottage was directly connected to the owner's new home build-on. It was not a problem for us at all, and we really enjoyed visiting with them! We just did not realize it would be a connected property originally. It was a great little place for a mini-vaca! Highly recommend!
My grandmother had a Bed & Breakfast in Vermont for 60 years. I enjoyed meeting people from around the world. You can say I got the gift of Hospitality from her, but I also got it from my Mom. I sailed in Maine, Connecticut and Florida at an early age and sail both Inland Cat and Lazers here at Lake George. My love is my husband who's parents and family have been here since the 20's. We love our kids and grandkids, so when they aren't here, there is room for you!
We picked Forrest Park because we love the quiet nest in the millpond. We can enjoy skiing, wakeboarding and tubing, but when we are tired of the noise of jet ski's, the waves and wind are too much, we are protected and can sit in peace just under the bridge. We can fish, paddleboard and kayak in the calm waters.
