À propos de cet hébergement
Enjoy your stay in St
Enjoy your stay in St. John's and place yourself in the core of downtown. Just steps away from downtown entertainment, nightlife, and St. John's finest restaurants. There is a deck off the kitchen and another off the master bedroom where you are surrounded by the beautiful views of this great city, and the St. John's Harbour.
As the property managers of the house we are available 24/7 for any questions or issues. You may reach us through Airbnb, text or calling. If something is urgent the best way to reach us is calling.
You’re currently downtown in the heart of St. John’s, and couldn’t possibly be closer to George Street unless you’re sleeping on top of a bar.
St. John’s is the oldest city and George Street has the most bars per square foot in North America! Some of Canada’s best rated pubs and restaurants are within a stones throw from your back door. My personal favourites are O’Reilly’s Irish Pub, Republic, Shamrock City and Duke of Duckworth featured in a local TV series Republic of Doyle. If it’s your first time make sure to get screeched in at Christian’s Pub upstairs or Trapper John’s. Lots of Live Newfie/Irish music on the weekends and usually every night at Shamrock or O’Reilly’s.
Guests will be provided with a door code for access on check-in day.
Guests also have access to the entire home and the back deck besides the basement storage area.
No one will be entering the home during a booking, to ensure each guest has total privacy during their stay.
Well over 100 years old this house burned in the Great Fire of 1892 along with most of the city. It was rebuilt in a hurry much like most of the Jelly Bean Row townhouses. Near identical in design and materials to most of the restaurants and bars in the area, including lots of ballast rock/bricks, solid wood beams and lumber from old ships in the harbour. The owner has recently upgraded and exposed some original chimneys in the bathrooms and spare rooms and the entire house was renovated top to bottom a little over 13 years ago. The house is located downtown in the heart of St. John’s, and couldn’t possibly be closer to George Street unless you’re sleeping on top of a bar.
When you enter the home you are greeted with a warm, large, open concept kitchen/living/dining room which is fully equipped to handle all of your needs during your stay.
The kitchen has all the appliances you will need, as well as several amenities you will find useful during your stay such as, coffee, tea, bottled water, juice, cookies, chocolates, and special additions for longer stays. All cookware, dishware, and utensils are onsite and free to use for guests.
Their is a laundry area off the back of the kitchen which guests are free to use during their stay. All detergent is provided!
During your stay, be sure to check out the back patio where you will find a BBQ, and a large glass table with a tabletop fireplace. This deck also offers plenty of privacy!
On the second floor there is a beautifully renovated full washroom with heated floors, a medium sized bedroom with a double bed, dresser, closet, and an old exposed brick chimney with a built in electric fireplace.
The second bedroom on this level, is bright and spacious, with a queen sized bed, dresser, closet, and a TV.
Upstairs on the top floor you will be impressed with the master bedroom. It has a queen bed, 2 dressers, 2 closets, a private access to a rooftop deck which has incredible views of the city and the harbor, and a stunning ensuite washroom with exposed brick, large original clawfoot tub, and a custom tiled shower with glass sliding doors, and heated floors.
This property is stunning and our guests have a 100% satisfaction rate. You will not regret booking here!
Metrobus stop is located right in front of the house. 2 parking passes are located on the key hook in the porch!
